“So…Luca,” I started. I didn’t know where this demanding and confronting feeling was coming from, except that I felt that I needed to help or protect my friend. “Bro. What’s up?” BJ stepped closer to Luca, but he still didn’t respond. “Gotta minute?” he then asked, taking the initiative, and took Luca aside to the other end of the yard and began to talk with him there. BJ and Luca weren’t best mates at all, but they had recently formed a mutual partial respect for one other after competing together. We couldn’t hear much but at least BJ had him talking. If Luca didn’t want to communicate with Britten yet, then at least we could help in this way if it works.
