Friends Like Family My eyes pinged open, and I glanced at the time on my phone just before realising I wasn’t able to move very far from the chair just yet, as I was still absorbed in the imagery of the dream I’d just had. There was no surprise that I had been dreaming of Britten, given that she was foremost on my heart at the moment. In the dream she’d been holding a beautiful baby, in another place unlike earth, and unlike anything I’d seen before, surrounded by the brightest white light. She’d looked so happy and with no sadness in her eyes as there is now. Maybe because I was so close to Britten, I was somehow empathizing and sharing her feelings in my dreams. I looked at the time again, disbelieving that it was 3.30 a.m. already. I hadn’t intended on staying this long. I hope no one
