Mia's POV.
'Take one more step forward and remove the blindfold.' Natty was just too much, she made me walk all the way downstairs... hope this was good or I'll seriously shove a spoon down her throat.
'Surprised!' Immediately I took off the blindfold, I was blasted with confetti all over me.
'You guys remembered?' I said hugging my best friend Natty knowing this was her's and mom's idea.
'Of course we did siz...by the way we should have told you earlier because you look like a mess right now.'There he goes again, trying to get on my nerves even on my b-day. Alec is always the best big bro ever even if he is always annoying.
'Mia! time to blow the candles...'Mom in her excited mood pushed me to take a seat. I'm finally 18...the moment I have been waiting for for over an year now.
'Hey Mia! Blaize wants to wish to wish you a happy birthday in person...he wanted to come but he is stuck doing a shift back at the store. ' Natty said as she showed me the texts.
'Ok chill, let me just freshen up then we'll go see him down at the store.' I went upstairs to get ready .Alec sat on the couch gaming as always and mom and Natty sat down each busy on their phones probably chatting.
I know just the perfect outfit to wear, my black cargo pants and flannel.
'Okay Natty let's go!bye mom!...and Alec...stay out of my room! I said as we left.
We decided to walk all the way. At the gate as we were about to leave we met Mallie. She was from running errands here and there.
'Hey siz...so where to?' Maillie asked as she hugged me and gave Natty a fist pump.
'I'm off to meet up with a friend,I'll be back in 3 hours or so.'
'Kk have fun and happy birthday by the way... and Mia I've left something small for you in a gift box in your room. '
'Sure, thanks, see you later then.' I said as we left with Natty.
'By the way Mia...what do you think of the new guy in school? Isn't he just cute...you know rumours have it that he is a billionaire's son, I just don't get why he came to our school. '
'Natty in case you forgot I haven't been in school since Friday, so no...I haven't seen him. 'Natty always had the best gossips in school but I don't blame her,after all she is the school's article writer and it's fun to know the juicy s**t spreading in school, like who dumped who for who or the teacher's dating lives. She just reveals it all.
'Eish birthday girl...Ricky just posted you on her gramm and you know how much of a socialite she is. You must be proud of yourself. ' Natty said as she showed me Ricky's recent post.
'Nice you know I haven't been online since yesterday. My phone shut down and I was tired so I found myself asleep.' I said taking out my phone to purchase data to access the app.
'Mmmh that's why...by the way you missed a lot we were to have a trio call just you, Ricky and I but since we weren't able to reach you we called off the meeting and Ricky spent the rest of the afternoon with Blaize.
'Those two guys are inseparable... they just can't live without each other, can they?'I said and we giggled. ' So speaking of Ricky...what is she now up to?'
'I guess she's at the store with Blaize.' Natty said as she opened the store's mahogany door.
'Hey ladies!' said Blaize who was behind the counter.
'What'sup. ' Natty and I chorused.
'Yooh Blaize...is that Natty and Mia.' Ricky shouted from behind the store.
'Yeah they are here.'
I told you Ricky was there.'
Ricky came wearing her black Nike culottes, a singlet and fingerless gloves. She was carrying a mini bucket full of water. Ricky is not the sazzy type of girl,her drips most of the time were unexpected but always made her look spiffy
'Hey Natty,Mia...our birthday girl.' Ricky said as she poured me all the water that was in the mini bucket she was carrying.
'Ricky!!'I shouted.That was unexpected. I was soaking wet trying to squeeze water out of my strawberry blonde ponytail.
'Should I put this online.' Natty said taking out her phone and setting it on camera mode.They all laughed.
'Don't you dare.'
Chillux Eem...of course we got you covered.' Ricky said removing two shopping bags and placing them on the counter.'The bluish one is from me and the other one is from Blaize.'
'Happy 18th birthday.'Blaize and Ricky chorused.
I started with Ricky's. It was a beautiful black straight mini dress it was so superb...Ricky really knew my jazz.
'Thanks Ricky...thanks a lot'
'What are friends for?...go and try it on. If it doesn't fit you I will return it to the fashionista for adjustment'
'Yeah,you should try that on.'Natty said scooping Blaize's fruit chaat.

'Mia wasn't in school yesterday remember and today is Canada day so she'll probarbly meet him tommorow.'-Natty.
'Yeah tomorrow.Mia if you go on a date with him make sure you match that dress with the court shoes inside that gift box.I bet you haven't seen them yet.'-Ricky.

I removed a black shoulder bag. It was pretty and it looked like it costed a fortune. I openned the shopping bag...

I mean that shoulder bag is a product of the Quiroga's company. Max Quiroga's family's company.His dad owns like the whole thing.' -Natty.

'Hey Mia!here is something I forgot to give you.This is my birthday gift from me to you.' Ricky said as she unfolded the cloth. It was some damn Bermuda shorts.(On seeing that they all laughed.)
'Seriously!Who the heck even wears this...this days?Whoever wears it isn't a girl.Thats what I know.-Mia.
'You know siz thats where you go wrong.So have some respect f the great Bermuda shorts coz some girl named Ricky wears them.Or do you want us to confirm the fact of me being a girl??'-Ricky.

'Yooh guys,we were to go somewhere,weren't we? So shorts aside and let's go.Natty said who was at the doorstep heading outside. But to be honest I can't wear such shorts.'
'Really Natty.You know I have one for you.I had bought two: the bluish one which is Mia's and yours the grey one and you will wear them and I'm not taking a no for an answer.'-Ricky.
'Yeah Natty we are leaving in a few.I'm waiting for my brother Carlos to take the shift.He said he's on his way here.'-Blaize.

We waited for roughly five minutes then Carlos arrived.
'Hey bro and damn girls...where are you taking them to?coz you called me saying its an emergency. Girl emergency perhaps.'Carlos said in one of the France accent.
It's none of your business so take the shift,I'll be back at 11pmor maybe midnight there,I don't want to meet with chacha.So...enjoy his company and don't mention me anywhere.So girls let's get going.'-Blaize said and we left the store.
Josh's place 'club soda' wasn't far from the store it was just two streets away so we walked all the way there.
'To come and think of it going to the club still feels illegal though I'm now 18.'- I said.
'Right?? it's just like before still looks illegal like back when we were 16 where we could call Josh to open for us the back door leading to the club's kitchen coz if the securities realizes that a minor is in the club with the owners knowledge, the whole club will be closed and the owner will have a case to deal with the constables.'-Ricky.

'Yooh! why are you so quiet all of a sudden?'-Ricky said after noticing that Blaize was too much into chatting and seems like he wasn't listening.
'Chillux Ricky.He is probably chatting with his girldem.Let them chat in peace.'-Natty said and laughed.

'You weren't listening were you??'Ricky asked him looking at him with one of her fierce looks.
'No...yes.Maybe I wasn't listening but I wasn't chatting with my girldem either coz she's right here. Right Ricky??'-Blaize.
'Who??I don't remember dating anyone or being anyone's 'girldem'.'-Ricky.
'Frr...player.I thought you and Nicole were dating.'-Natty.
