A black dragon scale falls out from the book along with a map to the city location of the dark continent and so Eric decided to test his skill by transmuting the dragon scale to an idea in his mind,

Eric touch the dragon scale and he observed that he could manipulate the scale easily into different shape and sizes. It turns into a liquid form with a spark of red electricity and then take another shape. Eric visualised in his mind, he transmuted the scale into a black gun. He created black bullets and place it into the gun. He aim into the air and shoot. It was exactly the way a gun would shoot in his world. The dragon scale was strong enough to create gun that wont be destroy. Eric further transmuted into a small cannon. Eric needed more magical dragon scale to transmute into a solid big cannon for the wall with this new found discovery Eric decides to share in discovery of summoned one gift at the meeting.
