“WHERE TO NOW? THE HOSPITAL?”
Mackenzie wasn’t answering her phone and I’d texted Jason earlier. It bothered me that they might be together. Especially now with everything going on. I wondered what Jason was getting out of all of this. I knew he had the hots for her. He was could be trying to f**k her at this very moment. Me, looking like the bad guy, would certainly help.
“Jason’s.”
“You going to beat the s**t out of him?”
“I ought to beat the s**t out of both of you,” I muttered, staring out into the darkness.
Bruce sighed. “I deserve that. I know it probably doesn’t mean anything, but I really am sorry. I was a f*****g idiot.”
