So, when I heard him go outside, I stood up and rammed the chair against the wall a couple of times. The backrest gave away and I was able to break free and make a run for it. I hustled my a*s to the sliding glass door and managed to get it open. Unfortunately, the backyard was surrounded by a tall fence. Heart pounding, I raced over to the gate and was going to try and unlock it, when I noticed where the sliding bolt was—at eye level. With my hands still bound behind my back, I couldn’t reach it.
