Zara and Lucy sat together in the lounge, their conversation light and easy, mostly Lucy rambling about a dramatic case from her shift at the ER while Zara listened, nodding along and pretending like she wasn’t completely distracted. Because she was. Because Lennox was here. And not just Lennox… Lennox with Chloe, sitting beside each other. They sat on the opposite side of the lounge, their chairs too close for Zara’s liking, though she had no reason to be irritated by it. None at all.
