Adrian got puzzled to see her cry and asked her to stop crying. "Miss, you have not recovered fully and crying like this will not help." He had no idea what he was saying because the situation left him panicked.
The nurse entered the ward room. "Miss Evelina, is everything alright?" She asked and sharply glanced at Adrian. Placing the tray on the bedside table, she patted Evelina's back and asked her to calm down.
"I didn't do anything," Adrian said to prevent himself from that accusatory glance.
"Please stay quiet," the nurse said as she took the blood from Evelina into two small glass tubes for the test. "The patient seems to be weak, so be careful of the use of your words," she advised Adrian before walking out.
