They spent the rest of the day together. Hadleigh and Dinah cooked some of her mom's favorite foods. They sat down and ate together as a family. Her mom pulled out her old harmonica and began to play it. Hadleigh and Dinah endured the painful sounds of the supposed music their mother was making. After that, they watched some movies that they used to like when they were kids.
Hadleigh didn't want to make the day about her, but she hadn't had time to let them know about her pregnancy. Even in her worn-out state, Hadleigh's mother jumped up and down. Dinah was happy but also envious.
