"He was asking for me. When he found where I was, he kept saying the same three words from the spell. I went and got Jasmine. She examined him and then he just lost it. He's so strong that it wasn't hard for him to get away from us." Vivian was still afraid as she recalled the event.
"This entire thing sounds horrible," Hadleigh said. She reached out to Vivian's arm and held it, comforting her. Vivian looked at Hadleigh with tears welling up in her eyes.
"You really aren't mad at me?"
"No, of course not. You did what your Alpha asked of you. Normally, you can trust that is the right thing to do. So, Vivian," Hadleigh paused, took a deep breath, and then asked, "is there any kind of person who shouldn't engage in this spell?"
