CITY OF SCOTTSDALE
The summer remains hot and humid. Long days and nights drift by uneventfully.
The little town of Scottsdale has voted to become the City of Scottsale.
One of the first things that happens is the Jaycees take over the Sunshine Festival and rename it Parada del Sol. It becomes a major event in the new City of Scottsdale. It thrills the local business people because it attracts tourists to the streets, even in the heat, where they celebrate watching the parade. They spend money in the restaurants and boutique shops along Scottsdale Road. Everyone is happy. Happy, happy Scottsdale. A town catering to rich tourists, the Cadillac crowd. Almost everyone there drives a Cadillac convertible and sports a fabulous tan.
Even the locals catch the spirit of Scottsdale. Love affair
