Gabriel and the she-wolf stood there, gazing into each other’s eyes. The surrounding air was charged with electricity that neither of them could ignore. Gabriel’s hand was still clinging to her, and she could feel the warmth of his touch seeping through her skin. Gabriel's thoughts raced as they stood there, their bodies just an inch apart. From the moment he saw her, he was drawn to her. He knew he shouldn’t be yearning for her. He was supposed to be waiting for his destined mate, but he couldn’t resist her anymore. He moved closer to her, and she felt her heart race. These feelings for Gabriel overwhelmed the she-wolf. She couldn’t help but think about how safe and comfortable she felt with him. “What’s happening?” she whispered, her voice barely audible. “I’m not sure,” Gabriel replied softly. It was like a magnetic force that was impossible to resist. As he drew nearer, she felt his breath on her cheek. It was warm and gentle, and it sent shivers down her spine. She closed her eyes and waited, unsure of what would happen. “Now is the time to tell me to stop if you want me to,” Gabriel said. It was barely audible. All while praying to the moon goddess that the she-wolf wouldn’t stop him. He wasn’t sure he could stop himself even if she asked. But the she-wolf leaned more into him, to his surprise and delight. And then it happened. Gabriel’s lips met hers, and they both felt a surge of energy run through their bodies. It was like nothing she had ever felt before - delicate and passionate at the same time. His kiss was gentle yet firm, making her feel like floating on air. She opened her mouth slightly, and he took the hint, deepening the kiss. His tongue was warm and soft, and she felt it was exploring her mouth, sending waves of pleasure through her. As they kissed, she felt herself losing control, giving in to the sensations taking over her body. She ran her fingers through his hair, pulling him closer, needing to feel his warmth and strength. Their bodies pressed together, the she-wolf’s curves fitting perfectly against Gabriel’s muscular frame. His hands roamed over her body, exploring every inch of her with a hunger he had never felt before. Gabriel was worried this was wrong, but he couldn’t stop now. All he wanted was her; he knew he was risking everything to have her. The kiss continued, becoming more intense with each passing moment. Gabriel and the she-wolf were lost in each other, caught up in the passion and desire consuming them both. Eventually, they pulled away, both gasping for air. Gabriel looked down at her, his eyes filled with tenderness and affection. “That was unexpected,” he said, pressing his forehead against hers. His emotions were not discernable for the she-wolf. He seemed delighted and conflicted all at the same time. As he spoke, the she-wolf could see the inner conflict written all over his face. She saw the struggle in his eyes. He was struggling with his emotions, just like she was. She smiled at him, worried but enjoying the warmth of his embrace. She was lost for words. They stood there momentarily, holding each other, lost in their thoughts and conflicted emotions. The bond between them was too strong to be ignored. Gabriel’s mind raced as he realized what he had just done. He regretted letting in his impulses. Gabriel had kissed the she-wolf, succumbing to a primal urge he couldn’t quite explain. He could feel the tingles that shot through his body. He couldn’t deny the sensation of being drawn to her. It was both exhilarating and terrifying. Zeus, his loyal and wise wolf, stirred within him, sharing Gabriel’s emotions. Gabriel and his wolf had always been in sync, their bond strong and unbreakable. But now, even Zeus seemed to be conflicted. Gabriel clenched his jaw, feeling torn. He didn’t want to lead the she-wolf on, knowing the consequences of such actions. As an alpha, he was responsible for his pack and couldn’t afford to let his desires cloud his judgment. “Zeus,” Gabriel said aloud, his voice thick with emotion. “What have I done? That’s unbecoming of a good Alpha. Why did I let into my desire for her and take advantage of her vulnerability.” Gabriel was struggling with what happened. “I... I can’t let this go on. I won’t hurt her, and I won’t let this pull consume me.” Zeus let out a low, mournful howl, expressing his turmoil. “But Gabriel, she is special,” Zeus said, his voice resonating with longing and concern. “I can feel her wolf, even if they have not been initiated into our pack. This is not something we can ignore.” Gabriel understood Zeus’s words, but his responsibilities as Alpha weighed heavily on his shoulders. “I know, Zeus,” Gabriel said, his voice strained. “But we cannot act on instinct alone. We have to think about the pack, about our duty as their leader. We can’t let our desires cloud our judgment.” Zeus nodded, his eyes reflecting Gabriel’s conflict. “I understand. But denying this connection, this bond, will not be easy. It’s strong, and it’s real.” Gabriel sighed, feeling a mixture of longing and anguish. “I feel it too. But we have to be strong, for the pack and ourselves.” The two were silent momentarily, the tension palpable in the air. Gabriel’s heart ached, torn between his Alpha duty and yearning for the she-wolf. “We’ll have to keep our distance from now on,” Gabriel finally said, his voice filled with resignation. “We can’t let this go any further. It’s for the best.” Zeus nodded solemnly, understanding the tough decision. “Are you sure, Gabriel? Does this seem precipitated? Shouldn’t we get to know her some more?” Zeus was not ready to let her go. Gabriel sighed internally, his emotions raw and tumultuous. He knew the road ahead would be challenging, but he was determined to prioritize his pack and his responsibilities as an alpha. The conversation between Gabriel and Zeus was filled with raw emotion - longing, conflict, and a sense of duty. Gabriel was struggling with his responsibilities, and Zeus was loyal and understanding. A voice interrupted her before the she-wolf could ask Gabriel what was happening. As Lila’s wolf communicated with her over their mind link, she could sense the urgency and determination in her wolf’s voice. The wolf was patient but stern, insisting it was time for Lila to shift. “Lila, snap out of it,” her wolf said firmly. “It’s time.” Lila felt frustration creeping into her voice as she responded, “What do you mean, it’s time? It’s time for what? I don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m ready for what, exactly? Oh, and by the way, when did you remember my name?” Her wolf’s reply was resolute. “First, you’re ready to shift,” her wolf said. “It’s time for your first shift, Lila. Gabriel and his wolf will help. I trust them.” Lila’s confusion grew as she processed her wolf’s words. “My first shift?” she inquired incredulously. “But I’ve never shifted before. Do you mean you’re getting our memories back? You remember my name and the fact that we’ve never shifted?” Her wolf hesitated before responding, “Lila, it just snapped into place quickly when you kissed him.” Lila sighed, trying to make sense of the situation. “Okay, but I’m not the one who kissed him - he kissed me,” she said, her voice filled with uncertainty but wanting to make things clear. Lila saw her wolf roll her eyes in her head, a clear sign of frustration. Her heart pounded as she looked up at Gabriel, trying to process the flood of emotions and memories rushing through her mind. Fear and curiosity mingled inside her, and the knowledge that her wolf was recovering memories made the situation more confusing. “What’s going on?” Gabriel asked, his voice laced with concern. He saw the she-wolf’s struggle and supposed she was in a heated discussion with her wolf. Maybe they were both upset with him? Why did he have to succumb to this pull? Lila looked at Gabriel longingly. She knew she had to trust him and his wolf, as her wolf had insisted. She hoped to unlock the mystery of her forgotten memories. With a deep breath, Lila nodded, determined to face the unknown and embrace her first shift with Gabriel by her side. She knew it wouldn’t be easy, but she would take the leap of faith and trust in the bond between her and Gabriel and the guidance of her wolf. “My wolf spoke to me. She called me Lila, and she wants us to shift,” Lila said, her voice trembling with emotion. She went on, “She says this will be our first time shifting. I’m confused and excited all at the same time. How can this be? I have so many questions right now. My head is spinning.” Gabriel’s expression shifted from confusion to disbelief. This was an unexpected twist.
