CHAPTER 9

CHAPTER 9: CARE

SHE cursed under her breath as she writhes in agony on her bed the following day.

Jade's body is trembling with bleakness as she tried to cover herself with a thick blanket to at least make herself warm. Her stomach is twitching, making her want to vomit. No matter how many times she forced herself to sleep, Jade was not visited by drowsiness because of the pain she felt in his stomach.

Jade looked at her watch on the bedside table, and she couldn't help but be surprised to see what time it was. It was already 8 in the morning, and she needs to get out of bed and prepare for Eisen's breakfast. And the pain she feels is not an obstacle for her not to finish her tasks for the day.

So even though she was writhing in pain, Jade did get up from the bed and hold her abdomen tightly. She immediately turned off the aircon in the room because the temperature is getting cold, and her sweat is freezing. Jade was about to return to the bed to fix it but halted when Jade noticed a red stain on it. That explained everything she's feeling.

She's having her period, so she was not in a good mood since yesterday. And this is the reason why she's suffering from stomach cramps. Jade picked up her bag and searched for her medicine kit, hoping to find some medicine to help her ease the pain, and lucky enough, she still has them in her kit.

"You're a lifesaver," she whispered under her breath as she took medicine and walked towards the door. She went out of the room and grabbed a glass of water, but her body almost gave up on the floor when she can't handle the pain anymore.

"s**t!" she cursed for the second time around as she pressed her hand hard on her lower abdomen to at least reduce the pain she's feeling. She needs to take medicine immediately and boil some water to ease the tension. After drinking a whole glass of water, she decided to sit down first and calm herself because Jade could no longer stand up straight. Her stomach ached severely, and she was sweating all over the place.

"What the f**k happened to you?! Can't you hear my voice?" Jade closed her eyes when she heard the young man's baritone voice. His voice was cold, and every word he uttered was emphatic. But Jade is not in good shape to argue with him, hoping the young man doesn't get angry with her first.

"Are you deaf?! I was calling for—" he did not know why the young man's blood immediately warmed to her while she was doing nothing at all, for Pete's sake!

"Eisen, please not now, I beg of you." she was almost whispering as sweat started to drip off of her face.

"You don't have the right to command me!" it was like her ears were filled with the sound of the kettle, not minding what Eisen has been saying.

"Fine. What is it that you want? I'll prepare it as soon as I can." she answered breathlessly as Jade immediately got up from her seat, trying to move appropriately.

"Just wait inside your room." And suddenly, she went towards the lavatory and vomited, but nothing came out. The medicine is already taking effect, but in return, she's feeling drowsy and weak. She wanted to lie down and rest, but she still needs to deal with Eisen.

"Wh ... Red stain. You're—you're bleeding!" she was about to grab the kettle when her stomach twitched painfully, causing her to grab a chair to find support. Suddenly someone harshly grabbed her wrist and pulled her away from the kitchen.

And in an instant, Jade just felt that she was lying on the sofa, and the young man was touching his forehead. "Tell me what the f**k is going on ?! You look pale, and you're cold. And why are you bleeding?!" Worry was written all over his face as he stared at her. Jade can't help herself but to breathlessly chuckle at Eisen's initial reaction.

"Why are you laughing?! Is this some kind of a prank?! Are you playing with me, huh?! You damn woman!"

"President grumpy, can you just calm down for a second? I'm just having—" she whispered as she forced herself not to sleep. "I just have my period today. But I have—" she paused for a moment before continuing, "But I have no time to explain everything to you."

"Tell me what to do, goddamn it! Don't you die on me! I still didn't start my revenge yet!" tears welled up in her eyes as she forced herself to speak. It was too painful to handle, and it feels like she's about to die.

Jade always takes care of herself, so she does not reach dysmenorrhea every time she has a period. She did not even realize that her red days were coming.

"The water I heated. Please put it in a hot compress and give it to me. The hot compress is on top of the refrigerator." even though Jade could barely speak because of the pain, she still instructed Eisen on what to do since he's persistent. Jade just closed her eyes, hoping that everything was just a dream.

IF NOT knowing what to do could kill Jade any minute, then Eisen is doomed. His emotions were restless as his heart was beating fast as if a bomb is ticking, and it will explode in seconds. He can't stop himself from panicking as he decided to go to the kitchen to put the boiled water into the hot compress.

"f**k!" he screamed at himself as he stood up from his wheelchair and tried to reach for a hot compress on the top shelf. But as soon as he put pressure on his injured foot, the pain started to crawl inside. But enduring the problem is the best option for now.

Jade laughed earlier because of Eisen's reaction to menstruation, noting that he's still not aware of that word because of his amnesia. And after that, Eisen saw her shed a tear. A f*****g tear, for Pete's sake! And that is all it takes to shatter the madness, the chaos that is building up inside of him.

As soon as he took the hot compress on top of the refrigerator, Eisen immediately sat back on his wheelchair and returned to Jade's whereabouts. Eisen is too worried, and he can't endure the feeling of seeing her in so much pain.

"What to do next," he whispered as soon as he saw her with eyes closed, the pain still written on her face. Eisen wiped her sweat, shockingly discovered that it's cold. "Jade, just f*****g talk to me."

"Give—" he tried to speak, but the young man stopped him. He is nervous about Jade's condition because Eisen never encountered something like this before. After all, he can't remember everything for now, and a part of him wants to take care of her.

"Just tell me what to f*****g do and stop moving around! Aren't you scared of what might happen if you keep on moving?!" Jade opened her eyes and tiredly smiled at him before she took his hand, holding the hot compress.

"Press it in here, Sen." Eisen let the woman took her hand where it hurts. When it hit her belly, a smile flashed on the girl's lips as if she was feeling a little relieved. It feels like a thorn was lifted out from his chest, knowing that Jade is already feeling a bit better.

"I hope I had a phone now to film your reaction. This will make a good laugh, you know? Or I could post it on social media to earn likes or sell it to your fans—" Eisen raised his fingers to stop Jade from talking and raised his deep, commanding voice for her to just shut the f**k up.

"Will you stop talking?! This is not the time to f*****g make a joke! Inform me where it hurts so I could move my hands!" Jade squeezed his hand lightly, making his eyes linger for a second on their hands, and brought back his attention at the woman.

"I'm sorry... And thank you."

WHEN he made sure that the woman was asleep, Eisen decided to leave her on the sofa and moved his wheelchair to the maiden's room so that she could pick up the blanket and pillow. If he could lift Jade, he would bring her to his room.

When he entered the woman's room, the very fragrant smell of her space did not escape from his senses. The very aromatic scent of something he did not know reminded him of what happened to Jade in the cottage-like area yesterday.

He did not expect the girl to do that to give him medicine. She crashed her lips onto his, and the sensation of their lips colliding was unexplainable! Her lips were so soft, and it somewhat drove him crazy inside his system. It was so addictive to the point that he wasn't able to take the thought out of his mind up to his dream.

Because of what happened, its strange and addictive companion did not escape his sense of smell. Eisen cleared his throat and calmed his feelings when he felt his manhood stiffen. He decided to focus on the bed where Jade's blanket and grab it for his wife to use.

Eisen moved his wheelchair again and stopped in front of its bed before pulling on the girl's blanket. But when he got it, the red stain on the ground did not escape his sight.

His hair suddenly rose as the nerves he had felt before returned, and the question kept popping into his mind. Eisen did not even know what was happening to his wife, but he was only sure of one thing— he had to take care of her.

The maiden was still sound asleep when he arrived in the living room. Unlike before, she is no longer sweaty and doesn't seem to be writhing in pain.

He slowly covered Jade's body with the blanket as she was still sound asleep. And he wasn't able to stop himself when he stared at her gorgeous calm face. She was sleeping peacefully, so he decided to extend his hand to touch her forehead, wanting to know her temperature. But his eyes accidentally landed on her soft pinkish lips as an unknown emotion rose inside him.

Things were hard to explain. He held her to his lips as he remembered what had happened yesterday. They kissed. But the most painful part of it all? He can't seem to recognize her actions, her lips, her kiss. He did not remember when their lips applied. And he's hurting because he felt like he has completely forgotten the past.

Eisen pulled his hand away from the woman's forehead when he felt the slight pain in his hand. He's still injured, but that doesn't mean that he will leave her alone, suffering.

"Eisen ..."

"Are you awake yet?" when he heard Jade's voice, his heart could not help but jump for joy. But when he did not answer her question, Eisen realized that the woman was dreaming. "Everything will be alright."

What could she be dreaming? Of all people, why call out his name?

Eisen sadly smiles as he decided to leave her again. But this time, he went to the kitchen to eat breakfast.

Since he can't cook, he decided to grab the sandwich on top of the refrigerator and grabbed the egg filling to complete his breakfast. After Eisen ate, he took the medicine he needed to take before trying to recall where he saw a laptop.

When he remembered where he had found the computer, he immediately went to the house's study table. Eisen there picked up the laptop before immediately returning to the living room to watch Jade.

The woman was still sound asleep, and she seemed very tired. Even if he wanted to wake his wife, he could not because Eisen was afraid that when she wakes up, the pain she had felt will instantly return.

He was sitting uncomfortably on the wheelchair, so he decided to leave there and sit on the single sofa, facing Jade's bed. It took him a couple of seconds to finally sit appropriately on the single couch and turned the laptop on. The internet is an excellent help for Eisen to know what to do to help his wife because this is the least he can do as a husband.
