CHAPTER 2: BEERS AND SHATTERED HEART [WARNING]   [ONE WEEK LATER]   THE BED started to shake like an earthquake happening at the moment. Under Eisen's very roof, the bed inside his room started to cause noise as the headboard collides with the wall, letting the intense desire building inside him overpower the whole room.   "Oooh… yes! Yes! More!" the woman with the blonde hair under him moans louder and louder as Eisen lets himself bury deeper inside the woman's mound like it was the last thing he'll do on earth. The longer he buries himself hard and fast, the more he felt the desire to take the woman over and over again.    But as he let himself deeper, causing the woman to scream in ecstasy, anger immediately blossomed inside his stomach. It manages to make its way into his chest, making him unable to enjoy what was happening below him.    "Give me more!" the woman continued to scream in so much pleasure, making Eisen's brow furrowed in annoyance. Since he started f*****g the woman, she won't stop crying like a banshee underneath him. And he's beginning to regret giving this woman his attention.   Disappointment washed away Eisen's desire, followed by anger and unexplainable feelings that won't stop tugging his mind and heart. After a few more thrust and banshee-like screaming, Eisen laid beside the woman, not even tired of what happened between them.   And yet, the woman beside him was panting hard like she just joined a marathon.    "That… was intense." The woman flirtily whispered with a ragged voice as soon as Eisen releases all the tension in his body. The woman beside him started to say flirtatious words, but Eisen's mind and ears were at another universe.    "So, did you enjoy my company?" she whispered as he nibbles his ears using her lips and tongue, pleasuring him bit by bit. Her hands started to crawl onto Eisen's well-toned body, sending little friction into his abs, tracing his every curve. And her hand made its way down and down below until she was able to reach him, but Eisen catches her hand, and he immediately stood up from the bed then walks towards the bathroom.    "I could've enjoyed more if I am watching a sitcom. now, get out."   "But I thought-"    "I said, GET THE f**k OUT!" The woman murmurs underneath her breath as she rapidly grabs her stuff before leaving the room; the blanket still wrapped on her body. Eisen watched the woman as she walks outside the room and shut the door behind her. And when he was already alone, Eisen closed the bathroom door and opened the showerhead.   He positioned himself under the shower as he let the droplets of water clothe his naked body. He lifted his gaze into the ceiling as he let his eyes shut, welcoming the cold water to wash away all the pain he felt. It has been a week since the day he last saw his wife. And in just seven days, he was able to fly back to the Philippines and let his sadness and shattered heart drown with different alcohols and different ladies throwing themselves at him.   But in just a week, nothing changes the fact that Alicia wanted him back no more. He drinks, he party, he sleeps with different women- things never did when he's still with Alicia.    "f**k this emotion! f**k this love! f**k me!" with uncontrolled emotion, Eisen lifted his fist, and without hesitation, he punched the wall full of rage and anger. The woman he loves just left him because he was never enough. He will never be enough.   And a tear escape from his eyes, letting it drip down from his cheeks, letting its warmth caress the coldness that builds inside him. But tears won't make anything better. Nothing will.          __________  "COME ON, MAN. You've been here for a few days, and this is what you're doing all day? You look like s**t. You know that, right?" Sceven, one of his friends, said as he steals the bottle of rum from his hands, making sure that he won't take another swig from the bottle of beer.    "I called for you here because I need some company to get drunk and get laid, not the other way around. Because the last thing I wanted was to hear a sermon from a friend." He disappointedly answered as he swiftly grabbed the bottle of beer from Sceven.    "If you're here to kill the fun, then you are free to leave me alone because I hate killjoys." Sceven shook his head as he sat beside his friend as he grabbed a glass of wine from the waitress walking around the bar with a tray in her hand.   Sceven wasn't able to hide how shock he was by the news about his friend's sudden divorce. And what he sees now is not what he expected to happen. Eisen was a strong man. But Sceven realized that once you fell in love, it makes you dumb and vulnerable.    "This is the reason why I don't stroll around and look for someone to get attached. Because the moment you get connected to someone, the most apparent and possible thing to happen is leaving you behind, and you don't have other choices but drowning yourself with alcohol." Sceven mumbled, but Eisen can't seem to understand what was Sceven saying. He decided to vanish his beer before letting his weight rest onto the comfy sofa of the bar.    "f**k this, bro. I want him out of my system. Haha! I want to forget her entirely. I want her out of here, " he pointed at his head, "and f*****g here." His first week as a soon-to-be divorcee was hard. partying all night always leads him to trouble. And now, after three weeks of staying in the Philippines, worst will not be enough to describe the hell he's been. He still remembers the day when Ali left him standing outside the street.   On that day, he finally decided to go back to the Philippines to distance himself from Alicia. The last thing Eisen wanted to happen was to cross paths with the woman who chose to break him apart. And he can't afford to see him because he is afraid to see that Alicia was happy while he was left alone, still clinging to the rope of hope that someone would be able to hold onto the other edge and pull him to reality.   Eisen doesn't want her to see how f****d-up life is after their divorce. The wound is still fresh, and he can't let that wound gets worst. With his new hobby, which is drinking, almost every bar in town already recognized him as the totally-messed-up-man. And he's well aware that his image will never be forgotten by those who saw him wasted. And he made sure to never stumble in front of his brother, Lewis, because when it comes to s**t and kinds of stuff, his brother knows best, and he will get a handful of sermons from him if they ran onto each other.   Knowing Lewis, he can talk all night without asking for air. A few more drinks and Eisen would pass out any time soon. But even though Sceven attempted to steal the beer from him, and he was still persistent in finding his ways to take it back. Until Sceven eventually gave up all his defenses, letting Eisen drink his fill.    "Woah! Steven, you're also here, man! Long time no see!" Eisen shouted as soon as vision doubled out of drunkenness. "You're drunk, so let's get you home," Sceven uttered out of concern when Eisen started talking nonsense. And then, he started laughing like he just took some drugs.   "Oh, come on! Steven just showed up. You cant let him party all by himself. But, why is Steven copying your every move, man? Is this some game?" he mumbled as he pointed out at the man beside Sceven. Sceven rolled his eyes as a sign of irritation. Sceven has a brother, and his name is Steven. They were actually twins, but because Eisen was already drunk, he thought Steven was actually with them now.    "Steven is not here, Eisen. Now come on, and I'll take you home." Sceven said and was about to grab his friend from the arm when Eisen immediately stood up and started walking away from him, with no certainty where to go.   But before he could even take another step, he felt a sudden vibration from his pocket. He immediately took it out from his pocket and stare t the screen, almost half asleep. Then an unlisted number popped out of the screen, making him a bit anxious if he'll entertain the message or not. But he decided to open it, and a threatening messaged plastered on the screen.     UNKNOWN NUMBER:  "You'll regret leaving her."      Eisen then wholeheartedly laughed at the statement as he drew his phone back to where he took it. But he was halted when his phone vibrated for the second time, leaving him almost furious as to why his phone and this unlisted number keeps on bugging him all week.   "Hello, fucker. Stop irritating me before I smash your head onto the wall." It was threatening, all right, but it was making Eisen a little bit happy, enjoying the moment to scare someone. He thought nobody's on the other line, so he was about to end the call when a faint voice started to answer.   But before Eisen could understand the caller's words, his head began to spin as he let himself weight onto the counter for several minutes. And when he was back to normal, the call has already ended. And with no understandable reason, he started laughing again, taking Everything that had happened as a joke. Eisen never loves jokes, but today is an exemption.   He shrugged the call off of his shoulder as he unsteadily walks the distance towards the comfort room, making the word   "C.R., C.R., C.R.," as the sole of the song that keeps on playing inside his head to match up the vibe he's feeling. His head is throbbing, but he managed to go to the comfort room. As soon as he reached the lavatory, he immediately opened up the faucet and washed his face, letting the cold water wash off all of his drunkenness, but for some reason, it wasn't helpful at all, even just for a bit.   He was trying to sober himself up. He can't let himself look shitty. He needs to move on and let go of the thought Ali will never be back into his arms. He stares at his reflection for a few minutes. And the longer Eisen stares at himself, the longer Eisen looks so messed up- red eyes, dark circles surrounding it, his skin turned almost as white as snow as his lips were long gone dry. He changes weight because he never got the chance to eat his daily dose of a healthy diet.   He touched his stomach and look at his body through the mirror. The thinner he gets, the larger his stomach has become. Is this the reason why Alicia left him? Because he's not fit enough?   He let another hand full of water onto his face as he shrugged the thought off. His eyes trace the intertwined silver chain on his neck where two silver rings dangle on it. He touched the ring attached to it as he smiles bitterly to himself. Will she ever come back and claim the ring?   When a man entered the comfort room, Eisen immediately exited the room and took in the sanitized smell of the bathroom before finally stepping out. But because his head started to spin again, he wasn't able to avoid the person whom he accidentally bumped into the shoulder.    "Would you f*****g look where you're-" he angrily said, still drunk, but his words hang into the air when his eyes unexpectedly realized who the person is.    "Sorry, Sir. I didn't mean to bump into you. I was looking for my friend." she apologized as she bowed down. Eisen's eyes scanned the woman's body from head to toe. She's wearing a fitted black backless sleeveless dress that almost revealed her perfect assets.   Is she Alicia? His ex-wife? No. they're still married because Eisen did not sign the divorce paper. But why is she here? Why is she wearing such clothes in a bar? It is so not like the woman he knows.    "Watch where you're looking, mister. Eyes up here, please." The woman irritatedly snaps out, making Eisen meet the woman in the eyes. She seemed uneasy and uncomfortable with his presence.    "Ali," he called out and grab her hands and drag her unto him. He hugged her tightly, not wanting to let hee go. But the same pain he felt the day that Ali left him came back rushing into his system when the woman pushed him away. She looked scared because of what he did.    "Ali." His words were pleading, along with sad eyes as he uttered her name.    "Sir, you're mistaken. I am not Ali or anyone you claim me to be. I'm just here to look for my friend so, if you'll excuse me-" she was about to march pass away from him, but Eisen was quicker. He tightly gripped her arms and pinned the woman to his body, then cornering him into the wall.   "Is this how you want your game to be played, huh?" he can't believe it.    "let me go, or I swear to the gods, I'll start screaming!" The woman threatened him, but Eisen silenced her by claiming her lips with a hard kiss. The more he deepens his lips against her, the more that the woman tried to push him away. Eisen didn't stop and started moving his lips, nibbling her lower lip. But he was halted when he felt the woman bit his lower lip.   "s**t! Why did you-Alicia!" he saw that the woman started running away and dispersing into the crowd. The loud music echoed in his ears as it made his head spins once more. He tried to compose himself as he attempted to roam his eyes around the area, and there Eisen saw, the woman he called Alicia, exited the room.    "Eisen, where are you going? Eisen?!" He heard Sceven calling for him but didn't bother to look at his friend because his mind wandered with no other: Alicia. With his head throbbing painfully, he continued to leave the bar and darted his attention across the road, where he saw the woman walking a few meters away from him. It was already dark, and he badly needs to talk to her, so he desperately crossed the road without bothering his surrounding.    "Alicia!" the woman stopped in her tracks and looked behind her, where Eisen was walking towards her. But when the woman turned on her phone's flash light, her gaze landed on a car fast approaching in his direction.    "Lookout-" the world then started to move in slow motion when their eyes met in an instance. A sudden memory flickered on Eisen's mind as the woman's eyes made him feel the sudden familiar thump of his heart.  But it was too late for him even to take another step to save himself.
