The Final Code Review

Chapter 23: The Final Code Review It was midnight, three days before their formal engagement party. The clinic was entirely painted, the soft pastel green walls designed to create a calming environment for children with autism and ADHD. The sensory swings were hung, and the custom bookshelves were lined with vibrant educational materials. Zayd sat on the floor of the empty main lobby, his back against the wall, illuminated only by the bright glow of his laptop screen. He was running the absolute final stress test on the parent-tracking software, ensuring every encrypted data pathway was perfectly secure before the official grand opening next week. The front door clicked open, and Zara walked in, carrying a thermos of hot mint tea and two traditional honey cakes. She smiled softly when she saw him, sitting down on the floor right next to him, her long skirt pooling around her. "You're working late again," she murmured, pouring him a cup of tea. "Just making sure there are zero bugs," Zayd said, accepting the cup with a grateful nod. "I want the software to launch flawlessly, so when we step away for our wedding next month, the staff won't have a single technical issue to worry about." Zara watched him take a sip of tea. "Do you realize what we've done, Zayd? Look around. A month ago, this was just an eighty-page document on my phone and a folder of unwritten code on your hard drive. Now, it's real. Next week, the first twelve families are walking through that door for free therapeutic evaluations." Zayd closed his laptop screen halfway, looking around the beautifully prepared space, then back to her. "We didn't do it alone. Allah opened every single door the moment our intentions aligned. Working on this with you made me realize that love isn't just a feeling, Zara. It's a joint effort to please our Creator through our actions. This clinic is the foundation of our marriage."
