Chapter 16: Nicole's POV

Nicole POV

The party pretty much ended up smoothly. Well, except for one event that involved Angel and Xian. They pretty much created a commotion with Pasiphae, the queen of the Knossos Organization.

"I'm so tired, " I told Matthew, my husband.

We are currently in the van, on our way back to the villa. I leaned my head on his shoulder and started removing the straps of my silver heels.

"You should have worn the black shoes," he whispered when he saw me removing the straps. I just let out a deep sigh.

"It doesn't look good with this dress," I reasoned out.

I'm wearing a skin-tone tight dress. It has sequin and it sparkles a lot. Wearing a black strappy sandals with this dress doesn't really go along. I'm sure other women out there would agree with my claim.

Matthew just chuckled and let me continue resting my head on his shoulder. I closed my eyes for a second, hoping I would fall asleep however, Matthew kept playing around with Michael. I just decided to sleep later as we get back to the villa.

Then, my eyes caught Jasmine staring at Inigo. I was just staring at her the whole time like a creep. I looked away when she noticed that I was probably looking at her.

I just can't help but to worry about her. Inigo's not-so-scandalous scene earlier with Hera surely hurts her. I just knew that. I have been her friend for more than a decade now. I'm pretty sure I know how to read her eyes. I will always be.

I pretended that I was sleeping the whole ride. I just don't want Jasmine to see me lurking around. I want her to have her own needs to tell me what she has been keeping.

I know that she's happy that Inigo was already saved. I am not the fiance but as a mafia reaper, I also feel happy that they were able to save Inigo. We ought in our oath that we will protect and save the King and Queen with our lives.

Xian stopped the van right in front of the villa's facade. I attached the strap of my heels on my ankle. Matthew and I were seated at the back of the van that's why we were the last in our group to get out of the van.

I was about to walk upstairs but then I saw Jasmine and the rest of the girls one by one sitting on the couch. Inigo sat beside Jasmine and dropped his body on the couch, making Jasmine's legs his pillow.

"I'm so tired," Inigo said. He covered his eyes with his arms. Jasmine caressed his hair.

I looked away again when Jasmine saw me looking at them. She showed me a small smile.

I know. I know that she was trying to assure me that she's fine. I sighed and walked out of the living room.

I went straight in the kitchen and saw the guys taking out some food and drinks.

"Do you want anything hon?" Matthew asked me when he saw me entering the kitchen. He was looking inside the fridge. He took out a box of pizza.

"I'll have that," I said. I walked towards his side. I put down my clutch bag above the counter island and took out a wine glass.

"Hey, please get me one too." Michael suddenly said when he saw me closing the cabinet where the wine glasses are hidden.

I took out another wine glass. 

"You're going to drink wine?" Hector asked. He sounds a bit shy and careful when he asks me that.

"Yes. Do you want some? " I asked. He smiled and nodded like a kid.

I just nodded back and took another wine glass. 

"Okay, who else wanted to drink wine? So I can take the exact number of wine glasses, " I said when I noticed John lurking around.

The guys raised their hands. I took out another five wine glasses and put them above the counter island.

"I'll ask them if they want anything," Xian said and left the kitchen. I just nodded and went to the cellar.

I took out two bottles and placed them above the counter island beside the wine glasses. 

Xian just came back and went to the fridge and took out the bottle of champagne. Angel must have requested for a champagne. She's a huge champagne girl.

"Are two bottles enough for us?" I asked Xian.

"I'll take care of the other bottle. Michael helped Nicole to get glasses, " Xian said while looking inside the fridge.

He took out three boxes of frozen pizza and placed them above the counter island.

"I'll heat them up," My husband said when he saw Xian looking at his heated box pizza.

"Thanks. I'll prepare the plates. " Xian said and did what he said.

I saw Hector and Mnemosyne also looking inside the fridge. Later, Mnemosyne helped Xian bring the plates to the living area. Hector helped me bring the wine and champagne glasses while I'm holding the two bottles of wine. I was also holding the bottle opener and so John helped to bring out the glasses. John also went back in the fridge after he dropped the glasses on the table that Ariadne and Shyna set up.

"Really? Pizza at midnight? " Elissa asked with her eyes narrowed at the boxes of pizza that John and Matthew brought.

"There are no other options," Hector said. Elissa just shrugged and helped fix the plates.

Xian and Red went back here in the living area holding bottles of condiments, probably pepper and salt for the pizza. 

Heracle helped me open the wine bottles while Angel opened the champagne. After opening the bottles, we poured the liquid in the glasses.

Xian opened the boxes of heated pizza.

"Food. Finally, " Inigo said when he smelled the pizza. He sat immediately and took out a slice of pizza. "Oh s**t! Hot! "

"Careful," Jasmine said and took a half-full glass of wine.

I sat on the single couch and Matthew sat on the armrest. 

"There are empty seats," I whispered to Matthew. He just shrugged me off and sat on the floor while eating pizza. I rolled my eyes and sip on my wine.

"Weren't they feeding you?" Angel asked while watching Inigo eating.

"They did but they tasted bad," He said with a mouthful of pizza. "They are like food for prisoners," Inigo continued after he swallowed.

"Obviously. You're a prisoner kaya. " Angel said and laughed. Inigo decided to ignore her and continue eating food.

"So, who took me over?" Inigo suddenly asked. Napatingin kami sa kanya at nagtataka.

"I did." Mnemosyne suddenly responded.

"Nice congratulations," Inigo said and raised his wine glass. "... and thank you."

Mnemosyne raised his wine glass and nodded a bit to Inigo. 

We were just watching them the whole time they converse with each other. 

"What's happening?" Matthew whispered at me while poking his (siko) to my legs.

Inigo heard him and chuckled. 

"I guess my sister did not tell you that part of the plan," My brows furrowed. Obviously! We wouldn't be this unaware if she told us.

"It's for the better," Angel said and took a sip on her champagne.

"Who knew except me, you, and Mnemosyne?" Inigo

"Our cousins," Of course she would tell her cousins.

"What plan?" Jasmine asked. Great!

"Mnemosyne fought in my brother's place during the battlefield," Angel announced abruptly.

"That's the reason why you suddenly left the crowd?" Heracle asked while pointing at Mnemosyne.

"But why did Mnemosyne have the need to do that?" Elissa

"We need to get Inigo inside the island legally. If he hadn't been part of the battlefield, there's no other way to get him here successfully. " Red explained for Inigo and Angel.

"I agreed to that because that's the safest way." Ariadne continued.

"But isn't that too risky?" Heracle asked, looking worried and confused.

"I know. That's why I asked Syne to do that and he agreed, "

Elissa and Heracle just nodded when they heard that Mnemosyne agreed. It must be assured that Mnemosyne had agreed on a risky plan.

"Daya, you could have asked me too." Hector suddenly joined the conversation.

Mnemosyne rolled his eyes. 

"As if you could win," Syne.

"Daya talaga," Hector kept on saying.

"Cheer up. You're the one who accompanied them in the Knossos' territory. That's much riskier than competing in the battlefield. " Ariadne said.

I almost chuckled with the thought that she only said that to ease Hector's feeling of betrayal. 

"Oh well," Hector said and shrugged.

Our night pretty ended when we decided to sleep. It was almost two in the morning when we finished the bottles of wine, champagne, and boxes of pizza.

Ariadne and her members also left around two. 

When I got inside our room, I removed my heels and just threw them on the floor. 

"I'll take a shower hon," I said. Matthew nodded as he was busy removing his necktie.

I went inside the bathroom and removed my clothes. I distangled my hair by removing the hairpins. First, I decided to remove my makeup using makeup remover. Then, I stepped inside the shower and let the water stream down my body. It just felt relaxing that I let the water stream down my body for like a whole two minutes until I continued cleaning my body.

After a quick shower, I dried my body and wore a robe before I went out of the bathroom. I forgot to take some clothes.

Matthew was sitting on the edge of our bed when I got out of the bathroom. 

"Your turn na hon," I said and went near the cabinet to get some clothes. I wore them and put on the robe again. I also took some of Matthew's clothes and laid them in bed before I sat in front of the vanity table and started drying my hair.

I just finished drying my hair when Matthew went out of the shower only covered with a white towel. 

"The water is dripping hon," I said when I saw splashes of water on the floor.

"I'll clean them up later," He said and went near the bed as he saw his clothes lying on top.

He went to me and turned my chair towards him. 

"Hey," I yelled. I was fixing my stuff. He placed his hands behind me, cornering me with his arms.

I can smell his shampoo and soap from this close.

"Thanks," He said and suddenly kissed me. I thought it was just a peck but he bit my lower lip, which made me accidentally open my mouth.

He started ravishing my tongue with his. 

His other hand cupped my face as I started responding to his passionate and deep kisses. 

His hand slowly went down to my shoulder, down to my chest, and to my robe's tie. He untied them and slowly removed my robe from my shoulder, making them fall on my waist.

He started kissing down my neck. I felt a slight sting when he suddenly sucked them. I made naughty sound when he did that. I just can't help but to make breathy sounds.

He pulled me up and brought me to bed. 

The next morning, I felt cold. Matthew wrapped me with the blanket as he saw me shivered. I felt my lower body aches when I moved a bit.

"Good morning," Matthew said in my ears. I felt a slight tickle when his breath touched my skin.

"Hmmm... good morning too hon," I greeted back. He pulled my waist close to him.

I kinda felt shy when his bare skin touched my bare skin. After the thing we did last night, we decided to clean up and go to sleep without wearing our clothes. My robe and nightgown are probably on the floor.

I was a bit startled when I heard a knock from our door. 

"Get the door hon," I said. My eyes are still close and I just can't open them. Instead of getting the door, Matthew decided to hug me tighter. "Matthew,"

He groaned when I called him with his first name. He removed the blanket that was covering his body and took the bathrobe that I was wearing last night and wore it. He was tying the robe as he walked closer to the door.

I covered my body even more with the blanket the moment I saw him turning the doorknob. 

"Breakfast is ready," It's Jasmine's voice.

"Thanks. Sunod kami, " Pagkatapos sabihin 'yon ni Matthew ay narinig ko ang pagsara ng pinto. Maya maya lang ay naramdaman ko ang paglubog ng kama.

"We should get up." I said and removed the blanket on my body.

"Can't we just sleep more?" He sounded like a kid.

"Bahala ka. Basta ako bababa at kakain, " Sinimulan kong pulutin isa is mga damit ko at pumasok sa bathroom.

I wore my clothes and started doing my morning routine. I was thinking of showering but I just decided to wash my face and brush my teeth.

Matthew went inside the bathroom while I was brushing my teeth, still naked. He didn't take a bath and just decided to do that same.

I took another robe and wore them above my nightgown. I'm too lazy to get new clothes.

I went the bathroom while Matthew was brushing his teeth. I went to my vanity table and applied some cream on my face. I applied some moisturizer and sunscreen.

I was combing my hair when Matthew went out of the bathroom still naked. 

"Why are you still naked? Can't you wear clothes? " I said annoyed.

"Bakit? Distracted ka? " My jaw literally dropped when he said that. The nerve of this guy.

He has always been like this since we got married and I'm not getting used to it. 

I decided to leave him and went down without waiting for him. He actually called me and asked me to wait for him but I told him that I'm really hungry.

Shyna POV

"God! I'm famished !! " Michael said. He was even rubbing his tummy when he said that. Margarett rolled her eyes and started whispering things. "What did you just say?" Michael asked but Margarett just ignored him and sat on the chair. "PMS," Michael continued and sat beside Margarett.

Margarett scoot over, leaving an empty seat in between them. Michael was about to sit on the empty seat but Nicole took it.

I was putting some rice on my plate when Matthew went down and sat beside Michael. They started whispering things to each other which obviously, made Margarett more annoyed.

"Ingay," Mahinang sabi ni Margarett.

"Can you finish all that?" 

"Ha?" I asked and turned my head to John. He motions my plate with his lips.

"Oh gosh!" I really panicked when I saw my plate really full of rice.

"Let me take some," John said and took half of my rice.

"Sarap," Michael said while pointing at the bowl of corned beef that I cooked. I just smiled at him. He was saying that with his mouth full of rice.

"Don't talk when your mouth is full," N aiinis na sabi ni Marga ngunit hindi siya pinansin ni Michael at nagpatuloy sa pagkain.

"I'll get a coffee. Do you want some? " Xian asked Angel.

"Yes please babe," Angel answered.

Little later, Xian went back with freshly brewed coffee.

"That smells good. I'll get myself. " Inigo said. I also want some but I just decided not to get one. The coffee was really aromatic but Margarett seems to have a problem with the coffee.

"Can you move them away?" She said to Xian while pointing at the cup of coffee.

"Ha?" Xian

"There's something about the smell that I don't like," She explained. Xian moved the cup of coffee on his other side.

Nakatingin lang si Xian kay Margarett. Nagtataka sa mga inaasal nito.

"But love, diba you like Xian's coffee." Michael said, joining the conversation.

"Kausap ba kita?" I almost choked when Margarett said that.

What the hell is her problem? Michael seems shocked when Margarett said that to him.

"Anong problema mo?" May halong inis na ang tono ng pananalita ni Michael ng sabihin nya 'yon. Padabog na binaba ni Margarett ang hawak nyang baso at tumayo.

"I'm full," Margarett said and left her seat. Pinanood namin syang pumanhik. May halong pagdadabog ang bawat hakbang nya.

"What the f**k is her problem?" Michael kept questioning himself. His head is tilted a bit and then his eyes widen. "Shit."

He dropped his utensils and followed Margarett, running. 

"What the f**k just happened?" Nicole.

While eating, I can't help but to wonder why Margarett has been acting so weird. I was about to finish my last food when Michael went back. He looks haggard and in a hurry.

"She's..." He was panting and couldn't finish his words. "She's pregnant."

He suddenly announced. I dropped my utensils and it created a loud thud.

All of us stopped from eating and were just silent. 

"Congratulations," Angel said and left the room.
