Chapter 2:After the storm

673 Words
As soon as Lucas calmed down from his rut, he collapsed. Beneath him, Noah lay trembling—his entire body marked with love bites and hickeys, his uniform in tatters, and his legs sore and aching. Sticky warmth dripped down between his thighs. He forced himself to sit up, gritting his teeth against the dull ache spreading through his muscles. He looked down at the unconscious boy beside him—Lucas. Noah let out a breathless laugh, half-bitter, half-disbelieving. "I never imagined my first time would be with you..." Dragging himself to his luggage, he pulled out a fresh change of clothes and quietly cleaned himself up. He wrapped his ruined clothes in a plastic bag and shoved it into his suitcase, as if hiding the evidence would somehow erase what had just happened. When he turned back to Lucas, Noah hesitated. A thousand thoughts ran through his head—anger, confusion, humiliation, even shame—but also something else… something unreadable. Still, he couldn’t bring himself to leave Lucas alone in that state. "Ugh... why are you so damn heavy?" Noah grumbled, hoisting Lucas up with great effort. Staggering under the taller boy's weight, he began dragging him toward the nurse’s office, two floors up. --- The door creaked open. The school nurse, Linda, turned just in time to see Noah struggling to carry Lucas inside. "...What on earth—?" She froze, her gaze instantly catching the marks on Noah's neck and collarbone, as well as Lucas’s flushed, unconscious face. Linda was a beta, but she had served as the school nurse at Star Academy for nearly a decade. She had seen enough to know what had happened. But this? These two? Noah and Lucas—the school’s top students, both publicly known as alphas. Rival elites. Unthinkable. “Noah… were you—?” “Please,” Noah interrupted, his voice shaking. He clutched her sleeve with desperate fingers. “Please don’t tell anyone.” Linda hesitated, seeing the vulnerability in his eyes. She nodded. “I won’t. I promise.” She helped lay Lucas down on one of the infirmary beds, then turned back to Noah. “You should go home and rest,” she said softly. “I’ll take care of things here.” “Thank you,” Noah whispered, bowing his head. --- Once Noah had left, Linda stared at Lucas quietly. She administered a suppressant injection to ensure the rut wouldn’t return, then let out a long sigh. As she walked out of the room, she muttered under her breath, "Did they even use protection? Well... it doesn’t matter. Noah’s an alpha. He can’t get pregnant, right?" But a small chill ran down her spine. --- Hours later, Lucas stirred. He blinked, confused, lying in the nurse’s bed. Had he... fainted? His memories were hazy—he remembered feeling strange before the trip and leaving the group just in time. But after that? Nothing. The door opened, and Nurse Linda stepped in. “Feeling better?” she asked gently. Lucas nodded, rubbing his temples. “What happened?” “You collapsed in one of the classrooms. I found you unconscious and brought you here.” He frowned. “I… don’t remember that.” “It was likely your first rut,” she said. “It happens to some alphas without warning. I gave you a suppressant—be sure to take one regularly moving forward.” Lucas processed her words slowly. He didn’t question her. After all, everything still felt foggy. He stood up, adjusting his clothes. “My clothes… they’ve been changed?” “Oh. Yes,” she answered smoothly. “Your uniform was dirty—probably from when you fell. Someone helped change you.” Lucas didn’t press further. “Your butler is on his way,” she added. “He’ll take you home.” As Lucas left the room, Linda stared at the closed door, her hands gripping her clipboard tightly. "I just hope... I didn’t make a mistake by hiding the truth."
