Chapter 3

The new beginning

It was just before 5 a.m. I laid in bed thinking about the day before. Suddenly i got butterflies and ek felt numb. Just thinking about him made me weak. I decided to get up and get ready for the new chapter in my life. I quickly showered and got dressed. It was cold as it was winter. I sat in front of the mirror to do my makeup and hair, it had to be perfect.

As i was done it was just after 6 a.m, it was still early so i went to make coffee and took my phone to go on social media. I drank my coffee feeling excited yet stressed about the work. It was 7:35 and i decided its time to head out. I lived close by so i walked to work. It was cold and windy. As i got at work my hair look wild. The boss Jackson just unlocked the shop and i went in not sure what my job description would be. I soon met everyone that was working there. And of course Dillon.  So for my job i had to manage the till and the doors. A basic cashiers job. By 10 o clock things were quiet. And i have not had a cigarette since before work. so i asked Jackie, thee girl that was showing me the ropes where one can go for a smoke break. She directed me at the back at a red door were we could smoke without the clients noticing.

The day was going great as i thought except for the part that i have not seen much of Dillon since he greeted me this morning. As i was half way with my cigarette i heard a voice i had yet needed to learn coming closer. It was Dillon that was joining me as he was also as smoker. I sat there watching him as he came closer without looking up. My face almost shut red when i noticed he was looking at me. I stood up and walked away not sure if i should have said anything. The day progressed and was almost time to go home. It had been busy the afternoon and my feet was killing me as i stood almost 3 hours straight. I went for another smoke break as to just sit for 5 minutes. As i made my way back i heard Dillon ask me if he could join.  At that i was not completely sure he was talking to me and ignored it as i kept walking. I sat there lighting one when he appeared out of nowhere. He was looking at me  rather strange and asked if i heard him talking to me. I looked at him in confusion as i did not really know what he was talking about at the moment. He chuckled as he stood there with one hand in his pocket.  There were a weird silence between us and then he said that before i walked out he asked if he could join me. I looked at him in surprise and answered grim, i thought that you were talking to someone else. The surprised look on his face made me laugh. Well i said it was nice talking to you, i should get going. And i left. 

It was time to go home and as i was walking from work when Dillon caught me we stood looking at each other, then he asked me if he could drop me somewhere. I was shocked and the only thing i could get out was, no thanks. I kept walking just to get home, as it was a long weird day with Dillon.

As i got home i fell on the couch my mother and kids came home from daycare. She sat next to me and asked me how my day was. As i was telling her she looked at me in comfort cause i left the part out with Dillon. So we decided on who was going to make dinner and what was going to be made. We decided on pasta as it were easy and fast. After we ate i got the kids ready for bed and went with the. Soon i was asleep.
