After an hour of sparring my mom was satisfied with the ass kicking she gave us. She definitely didn’t hold back either. That last kick to the ribs she gave me is definitely going to bruise for a few days. Lily giggles from the ground “ Id give you a hug goodbye Alpha Cassie , but I’m pretty sure you broke me.” “Sweetie I told you to call me Cassie. Oh and Reign I forgot to mention the Boys staying in the packhouse will be here tonight. I need you to have their rooms ready by five.” She says off handily. “ I thought they would only be here for the test mom? Have I missed something?” Reign had a feeling she wasn’t going to like what her mom would say next. “ Reign they will be coming early to experience our land. Also… and Reign don’t freak out baby , but your father may have let it slip that you birthday is a few days later. So their current alphas thought or rather insisted that their sons extended their stay just in case one might be your mate.” Well f**k me I thought.

Jane: Why are you upset mates are to be cherished!!! Our mate will be our equal made for us by the goddess herself!

Reign: I know! Of course I want our mate that’s not my problem Jane!

Jane : Is that so?

I can practically feel her sarcasm. Jane doesn’t like to play games when comes to mates.

Reign: YES! And you know it! I just don’t like that it feels like it’s being forced. Like are they going to demand to be there when we shift? I just wanted us to find our mate naturally, you know?

Jane: How we meet doesn’t matter we are blessed and our mate is blessed as hell to be fated to us. We are an Alpha female

Reign: Okay okay you have a point

Jane: Damn right I do

“Reign did you hear me?” Oh I was to busy freaking out I forgot to respond to her “It’s okay mom, I’ll make sure their rooms are ready.” My mom sighed in relief. “Okay I’ll see you ladies for dinner” she said as she exited the field. I turn to look at Lily but when I do she’s looking at me like I have three heads.

Just in case my moms still in ear shot I link her.

Reign: What?

Lily: so you’re not freaking out at all? I mean come on your life just basically turned into the f*****g bachelorette except we’re wolves and the moon goddess already gave someone your rose.

Reign: and you enjoying it aren’t you?

Lily: what kind of bestfriend would I be if I didn’t ?

Reign: Well if you must know Jane set me straight before I could panic

Jane: Damn right I did

Jane chipped in and I pushed her out again

Lily: Hey maybe we’ll both find a foreign mate?

I growl at her

Dropping the link she puts her hands up in mock surrender “Geeez woman I’m just kidding.” She says

“Come on I need to shower and then prep their rooms and you’re helping” I laugh dragging her with me.

Two hours later

Cassie: Sweetie are the rooms done? They guest are arriving at the border.

Reign: Yes mom.

Cassie: Excellent , come down to greet them with use and show them to there rooms .

Reign: Yes ma’am

Cutting the link I sigh and tell Lily “ It’s show time!” Waving jazz hands at her . She laughs but then grabs my arm and pulls me towards my closet.

“WHAT THE HELL LIL!?!” I basically scream at her . “ oh shush you’ve got to look edible when they see you” she says pulling out a black body con dress with a low V neck and a pair of heels I haven’t worn since the senior function. Oh goddess why are we Bestfriend again? I quickly change cause there is no way I could beat her in an argument about clothes and make it down stairs before they arrive.

“Happy?” I ask my voice dripping sarcasm.

Her brown eyes sparkle with mischief looking down I see why. She has her make up bag and if I didn’t know any better I’d swear it magically appeared. “ oh no you don’t, there’s no time” I say backing away from her. “ All I need is five minutes and I already told your mom” she says grinning like a maniac. It’s official life is plastic and not so fantastic. Reluctantly I sit on my bed and let her go to work.Don’t get me wrong there’s nothing wrong with dressing up but I was hoping to just be casual. “There! I swear if you’d agreed to let me be your sub earlier this exactly how’d I’d imagine you looking” she says bounce on her feet . I walk over to my mirror to see her handiwork.I gasp.

Jane: DAMN WE LOOK SEXY

Jane purrs in my head and she’s not wrong. Lily put my hair in a high ponytail, she did light natural makeup but did a bold wing and to top it off she put on dark red lipstick. I look like a naughty library from every boys fantasy. Hell I would be my own damn sub. “Thanks Lil but we need to go” rushing downstairs I make it just in time to stand with my parents as the cars start pulling up. I give my dad a I know what you did kind of look when he starts to try and apologize for letting the cat out of the bag I laugh out loud and quickly link him.

Reign: Its okay Dad they were bound to find out somehow

Sam: You let me know if they give you any trouble. Also thanks for helping your mother prepare last minute guests are always a hassle.

Reign: no problem

I smile at my parents one last time before turning to the door .
