I gulped down the entire glass of water in just a gulp. He was quick to collect the glass and placed the empty glass cup on the coffee table. In silence, we both sat on the two seater sofa gazing at each other. He hadn't changed much but one thing as for sure he was looking more attractive. Callum had worked on his biceps now. It was obvious he spent ost of his time building his body. He was in a grey t-shirt that hugged his muscles and black joggers. His ginger hair was still cut the same way. He still maintained his side swept fringe. His brows were bushier than before it looked like he had just gotten a shave. It wasn't difficult locating him. I knew exactly here to go. We had always dreamt of owning this house. It was small and homely. It was our dream house. We had planned our lives as soon as we discovered we were mates. We had planned to have three children whilst he continued his father's legacy. We planned to have simple interior designs for the house and it was just exactly hat his house was. I smiled as it felt like he didn't let go of what we had despite the fact that I was away. "They shut the door in your face?" Callum asked, raising an eyebrow. I nodded not wanting to speak about it. He was my last resort when my parents and turned their backs on me. I knew only one person could come to my rescue and that was why I was sitted in his living room. I knew I had hurt them. They had every right to be hurt. Any parent who had woken up one morning to find their daughter gone would be upset. I never looked back once. I never sent a letter or even showed up at their front porch to check up on them. I didn't even give them an explanation. I was in awe that Callum could let me into his house. I was expecting the same reaction from him. I was expecting him to be hurt and slam his door in my face but I was wrong. He simply mentioned my name as his whole body stood rooted to the ground. He let me in like I wasn't his mate that had disappeared one morning. He mustered a smile, telling me to have my sit then he brought me a glass of water. One thing as for sure, he was shocked to see me after five long years. "You're just as I imagined. Beautiful as ever." I mustered a small smile. "Thank you, Callum." It had been thirty six hours without my babies. Thirty six hours before my simple and perfect life had taken a turn for the worse. My head was clouded with just three of them. I wanted to see them badly. I wanted to see them even if it was just for a second. I need just one second o see my babies to hug and cuddle them. One second to ensure that they were at least fine. I was loosing my mind without them. I felt like a lost soul without them and that was why I was back in my roots. It was the first step to finding them. I knew if I wanted to see Collins, Lina and Ally, I needed to confront my fears. I needed to face my fears. "I need your help." Tears had welled in my eyes but I was quick to blink them away. Callum nodded urging me to go on. "I need a place to rest my head for the night." He went silent and I heaved a sigh. I wouldn't be surprised if he declined to let me stay at his house. It was ridiculous. I left without caring about him or even thinking about my mate and I show up one evening seeking to stay at his place. It sounded like one of those soap operas the humans acted. Callum got on his feet. "Come with me." I did as he said and went with him towards door with my duffel bag on my shoulder. He opened he door and we both went it. "You're free to stay here for as long as you wish." The room was a fairly large one. It had the essentials. A perfectly laid bed with lots of pillows that looked comfortable. There was bedside table next to the bed. The atmosphere as okay and the room was cool. There was a wardrobe where I was ready I dump the duffel bag with me into. "That's the bathroom." Callum pointed at a door and I nodded. "I should leave you to get some rest." Just as he was about to leave the room, I took his hand. "Thank you so much, Callum. Thank you." He gave a smile. "It's nothing. Just get some rest." He left the room, giving me privacy. I was eternally grateful to Callum for letting me stay at his place. I was most especially glad he didn't bombard me with questions. I knew he wanted answers and I was going to do right by providing answers to whatever questions he had when the time was right. I dropped the duffel bag on the floor and plopped on the bed right away. I gave a huff, exasperated from today. My head was banging and I needed to rest my head but I knew I just couldn't. There was no way I could rest my head when the triplets were on my mind. I got off the bed and went to the middle the room to pick up my duffel bag. I made my way to the wardrobe and opened it up. A piece of paper in the empty wardrobe had caught my attention. My eyebrows furrowed in confusion. I picked the white paper and my heart beat accelerated reading the content of the paper. My head whipped everywhere around the room. I was all alone. My heart was pounding in my chest. I read the content of the paper again. "Let the games begin."
