Chapter 3 - Racing Competition (Part 1)

Third Person POV

In the middle of the night, two groups of the gang were still alive and kicking in a secluded part of the city. They were with their team, busy checking their motorcycles which they would use for a motorcycle race.

"Where is Gin? I will smack his head. He is always f*****g late, ” Jedde said, a member of Devilicious Seven Gangster while looking at Seth.

"I already called him. He is coming. He said he will make his motorcycle fly. I can smell money, ” Seth said while grinning which was also a member of Devilicious Seven Gangster.

"Hey! Fucker! There is no money for the bet. You always think of money. Jeez! Now I feel hungry because you're so noisy. Tsk, ” Zero said while shaking his head, another same member.

"Tsk! Asshole! I think we better stay away from you! You might eat us you know. Food brain. You don't even get fat, ” said said.

"Hey! Hey! What's with the ruckus? I'm here. What now? You know what? You are a nuisance. I'm still talking to a chick a while ago. Such a waste. I haven't tasted her yet, ” Gin said, who was their other comrade who just arrived feeling down because he didn't even get a taste of meat for the night.

"You just talk? Impossible! That's new. You haven’t scored?" Kurt said while grinning. Another member of the same gang as well.

"Can you just stop that nonsense talk? Just ride on your motorcycle already, ” Zack said seriously and then swiftly ride his bike.

"You are always so grumpy Zack. I think you're just bitter because you don't have a chick, ” Gin said while laughing.

"I don't need them," Zack said with a grimace in his face.

"Whoa!" Gin, Seth, and Zero said in unison.

"Hey! That's enough. Be ready guys!" Raven, the leader/Duze of the Devilicious Seven Gangster said while riding his motorcycle.

"Hey! When you hear a gunshot, that means that the race will starts, ” said by one the member of the opposing team, the Sole Gangster

"This is Seven people versus Seven people. Any member of each team who arrived first in the exact destination will be the winning team, ” he continued.

" No other rules. Just whoever arrived first on that abandoned building on the other side will be declared as the winner. As we agreed earlier about the bet. We want all of your company and your life if we win. If we lost, we'll disappear as what you wished." It was the leader of the rival group, which was the Sole Gang, who speaks with a smug on his face.

The Devilicious Gangster versus The Sole Gangster.

The two teams were both ready for the race.

They were just all waiting to hear a gunshot for them to start driving their motorcycle.

When the gunshot was fired by one of the members of the rival team, each of their motorcycle roared to life and started to flee with fast speed.

The leading team was the Devilicious 7 Gangster

"Oh yeah! Let's have a bet, Ze; whoever arrived first will win ten thousand, ” Seth said, who was beside Zero while driving his motorcycle steadily.

"Deal! Just ten thousand? That's so cheap dude!" Zero agreed with a smug on his face.

"As if you have a lot of money, if I know, you only spend it with your food. Food brain, ” Seth mocked.

"Shut up, Seth! At least I eat my food; my tummy will be satisfied. So what? I'll go ahead, moron. Sayonara desu ne!" Zero said while laughing and then drove his bike faster.

"Hey! Wait for me Ze!! You can't win!!" Seth shouted to Zero, who sprinted away from him.

"Hey! What now Raven? Did you already change your mind? You can still back out, ” said Kit, the leader of the Sole Gang.

Raven just ignored him and give him a mocking smile.

"Hey! Are you playing with me? Why are you smiling?" Kit said with an annoyed face.

"Don't call me with my name. We're not even close. Backing out? Are you trying to make me laugh? Backing out is not on my vocabulary," Raven retorted and then accelerated the move of his motorcycle, making it run rapidly away from the leader of the Sole Gang, Kit.

The competition was still going on. A few kilometers more, and they would eventually arrive at the abandoned building.

"Duze Rave! Do you want to join our bet?" Seth said when Raven passed him.

"I'll go ahead of you," Raven said and then passed all of them.

"Me too," Zack said also passing all of them.

"Hey! I will not let you win!" Seth said confidently while trying to catch up with them.

"Wait! We don't want to be left behind! " Gin said while also trying to catch up with them.

" Me too!" Jedde

"Count me in!" Kurt

"But I will be the one who will arrive first. Ciao!" Zero shouted in front of all them.

Kaede's POV

- CASSA BAR -

Wew! What a tiresome night. I wore my glasses again, removed all my makeup, and tie my hair in a messy bun. I put my bag on my shoulder, preparing myself to go home. My shift was done for tonight and I was exhausted. I just wanted to go home and lay on my bed right away. I thought my eyes were starting to drop any minute from now. Jeez! I'm sleepy.

"I'll go ahead, Sir," I said to my boss with a tired smile.

"Take care, Kaede, ” My smiling boss said before he walked away, going back to his office.

"Thank you, Sir!" I said aloud for him to hear since he walked out right away.

"Leslie, I'll go now, bye!" I bid goodbye to my workmate, Leslie, who was getting a bucket of beer.

"Bye Hevn. Take care,”Leslie said with a tap on her shoulder.

"Thanks!" I said, smiling, and then head out of the bar.

The evening breeze greeted me as I walked out. A lot of people were still busy swarming everywhere. I could see a couple making out in the secluded and dark side of the bar. Other guys were smoking outside.

I ignored all of them and started to walk away from the bar. Good thing that they already gave our salary tonight. I could already pay the rent for my apartment.

I'm living in an apartment nearby. It was just a few blocks away from the bar.

Hmmm. Shall I just walk on my way home? I'm tired but I didn’t have a choice because I didn’t have money to pay for a taxi.

I think I'd just do it. I could still remember the shortcut that I took the last time. That wouls be more convenient for me.

So that's it. I already decided to walk going home. I walked at a fast pace trying to remember the path that I took the last time. I passed something familiar, so I stop walking.

I glanced at my wristwatch for a bit. It was already twelve-o-clock. So it was midnight already. Now I knew why I felt so sleepy. Tsk!

We had a lot of customers tonight, and one of my workmates arrived late, that was why I had to cover her and extended my shift for two hours. My shift was only from seven to ten in the evening. I think this was the first time that I ended my shift this late.

I continued walking for a couple of steps and then saw a familiar alley. This was it. This was the alley that I took last time. At this time, there were only a few cars that would pass by.

After this alley was the main road and a block away from the main road was my apartment. I stifled a yawn. I love to lay on the bed right now and rest.

I stopped for a bit when I heard a commotion.

"Whoa!!! Oh yeah!"

I heard a loud screeching sound and a lot of people shouting.

Why was there a loud noise at this hour?

Seriously? A loud screeching sound of a motorcycle at this hour? Impossible! It was midnight already. The last time that I passed by in this alley, I couldn’t even hear the sound of any vehicle.

"Hey, dude!! Take it easy! This is a sure win!!" I heard someone shouted. My forehead creased for what I'd just heard.

I heard another screeching sound. Now and then, I heard it as I walked towards the end of the alley.

One-step and I'm out, the screeching sound of the motorcycle intensified as well as the loud noise of the bunch of guys shouting.

The headlights of a motorcycle blinded me as I step out of the alley. A couple of seconds before I could see everything.

"What's this? " I murmured. I'm seeing a lot of motorcycles passing by the road.

Do they have a motorcycle race? At this hour? That was illegal!

Another batch of motorcycle and I'm back being blinded again by their headlights. I put my hand on my eyes covering it from the light.

They were a lot of them. Few minutes and then everyone just disappeared from my sight. Whew! Good thing that they were gone. I couls cross the road right now.

I started to walk across the road. I’m already in the middle when I heard another screeching sound.I was fast approaching. I halted when someone shouted at me.

"Hey, you!! What are you f*cking doing here?!” Shouted the man who was driving his motorcycle behind me.

I turned around, only to be blinded by the light that was coming towards me.
