On Karen's 18th birthday, Archer sent her flowers and gifts to her dorm room since he couldn’t be there as he was preparing for his finals. Her parents had upgraded her car, the Ford, to a newer model and had it delivered to her on campus. Her excitement knew no bounds that day, capped with a lovely time from Ephraim, who had made plans to give her a treat at the beach on the outskirts of Granville city and he did so with the Lighthouse crew around. They used the event to reach out to a lot of young people on campus. It was a memorable time for her.
Life on campus was more or less a triangle for Karen. It was dorm-library-fellowship activities-back to the dorm. She had settled in nicely and was doing well in her studies. Her social life with Gina, Phoenix and a few others kept her stable
