Chapter 2: The Transformation

335 Words
Lena's heart was racing as she helped Luca to his feet. He was tall and imposing, with piercing yellow eyes that seemed to bore into her soul. She couldn't shake the feeling that he was hiding something from her, but she couldn't quite put her finger on what it was. As they walked back to the ranger station, Luca's injuries seemed to heal at an alarming rate. Lena tried to ask him questions, but he remained tight-lipped, his eyes fixed on the path ahead. When they reached the station, Lena quickly grabbed a first-aid kit and tended to Luca's wounds. He winced in pain as she cleaned and bandaged his cuts, but he didn't pull away. As she worked, Lena couldn't help but notice the way Luca's eyes seemed to glow in the dim light of the station. It was an unsettling sensation, but she couldn't look away. Suddenly, Luca's body began to tense, his muscles rippling beneath his skin. Lena felt a shiver run down her spine as Luca's eyes locked onto hers, and she saw something primal and wild staring back at her. "What's happening?" she whispered, her voice barely audible. Luca's face contorted in pain, and he let out a low growl. Lena's heart skipped a beat as she realized that the full moon was rising, and Luca was transforming into a werewolf. She should be afraid, she thought. She should be running for her life. But instead, Lena felt a strange sense of fascination. She watched, transfixed, as Luca's body began to shift and change, his limbs lengthening, his senses growing sharper. The transformation was both beautiful and terrifying, and Lena couldn't look away. She felt like she was witnessing something ancient and primal, something that was beyond human comprehension. As the transformation completed, Luca stood before her, a towering figure with eyes that glowed like embers in the dark. Lena felt a rush of fear, but it was tempered by a sense of wonder. What was she getting herself into?
