*RING RING*
The sound of my phone ringing woke up both Matthew and me up from our sleep. I looked at the time, as I checked the caller ID. Now why was Josh calling me at 3am? I knew it had to be some kind of emergency, but I had no idea why. I sat up in bed, and so did Matthew, as he looked over my shoulder at my phone screen. I answered the phone and put it on speaker.
“Hey Josh, you are on speaker. Matthew is here with me,” I said, rubbing my eyes.
“Hey Eilith, it is Lucy. Josh told me to call. There was a fire,” her voice was strained like she had been crying.
The phone fell from my hand, as shock and worry swamped me. Matthew grabbed my phone and asked, “Lucy, what happened?”
