Given that Dylan had broken out recently, I wanted to keep Lucy and Jack with me at all times. I have to keep them safe. They are my family, my responsibility. I still can’t believe that, a few months ago, I had no idea that I had a son. But now, I can’t imagine my life without him. I love being his father. He has his first birthday next month, which I am extremely excited about. I have been planning his birthday at my parents’ home, as they have a huge back garden with plenty of space for a huge bounce castle and water slide. I have been storing all his presents there too. Just the other day, he called me dada. It was so cute, and honestly made me cry. It made me so happy.
