Eilith’s POV-
We all got to the door. Matthew was first to the coat hangers, so he grabbed his parents’ coats, so that he could give their coats to them. They wanted to make a move home as it was getting late, which I completely understand. While Matthew was getting their coats, they were extremely quietly whispering to each other. I didn’t ease drop of them because I was hoping it was them deciding on whether to give us their support. I was silently praying for good news. I think that was what Matthew was hoping for as well.
Matthew turned to face his parents, so I moved to stand next to him. That way I didn’t have my back to his parents. Matthew handed them their coats, which they accepted but didn’t put on straight away. I knew straight away they had something to say before they lef
