The moment I closed the door, I came to the realization that nothing was going to stand in our way, and with the support of my parents and Eilith’s grandparents, no one in our families would be able to say anything against Eilith and I being together. I was thrilled. Excitement boiled through me; I was finally going to be able to ask her to be my girlfriend. Eilith was standing just to the side of me.
