(4) The Diner

I was the first one up, I went to go check my mom's room to see if she had returned from work, but she wasn't there so then I walked downstairs and saw her making some coffee which the smell of breakfast watered. I went back upstairs to take a shower, but first I went to go wake up Skye and told her we were leaving in a couple of hours and breakfast was ready. After my shower, I picked out my favorite jeans and a shirt which was orange, of course, one of my favorite colors. After my shower, I changed into my clothes, brush my teeth, washed my face and put my hair in a ponytail. By the time, I got done I walked by to my bedroom and stop inside the room, she was picking out her clothes for the day. I kept walking to my room to pack my messenger bag with my iPod, laptop with a charger, my orange notebook, pen, keys and wallet, and some other things. When I walked downstairs, I could smell chocolate chip pancakes that were ready, I walked into the kitchen and walked to the cupboard to grab some cups of orange juice. I poured some for Skye because she loves it, and she really doesn't like the taste of the coffee.

"Skye, you must really like those chocolate chip pancakes, because you have chocolate all over your face," I said and started laughing with mom.

"Yup, I do, and I can eat them all day if I wanted to and won't get tired of them," she said and shove a bite full of pancakes in her mouth.

"Girls, please finishes up because we have to leave in about thrifty minutes and Skye make sure you wipe your mouth," mom said while she was reading the newspaper and drinking her coffee.

"Oh, okay mom and I can't wait to see Ayla dorm room, and I also made a college with huge poster tons of pictures all of us, so Kenzie could remember us while she is at school," Phoenix said and wiped her mouth with a napkin.

"Aww...Thanks, Sky, I can't wait to see it and I know I'm going to love it, “I said while I was putting away my dirty dishes into the sink and put the orange juice back in the fridge.

I pulled out of our driveway and headed down the street to the main road to the highway which it was kind of busy from rush hour. The highway was right by the ocean and wind up the coast in a wave-like shape. The ocean looks beautiful in the morning light it reminds me of my father's favorite time of day. I wished my dad was still alive because he would be so proud of me, and he would want to see my dorm room and drive me to the first day of school. Every time I look at something always reminds me of him and always brings tears to my eyes. I know deep down in my heart that he is looking down at me and smiling. While driving Sky fell asleep listening to my iPod and was listening to a song called "Angel's Love Kiss", this is mine and hers and my favorite song of all time. I could hear Sky singing to the song as she slept in the back seat of the car and my mom couldn't help herself by singing off-key to the song which made me laugh.

About two hours later we stopped at a local diner in a small town called Olympia to eat lunch. We found a booth near the medium size television which had a local news channel on the intestine of a kid show. A waiter comes to our booth to ask...

"Do you need more time or are you ready to order?" he said while tearing an old order from his mini black notebook.

"Can we have a couple of minutes pleases?" my mom asked the waiter who was surprisingly hot, he was athletically built with medium auburn hair and beast brown eyes, he looks about my age damn he is so hot I wish I had a better top on.

"Ayla, Skye do you know what you want to eat?" my mom said while reading her menu "up, I want chocolate chip pancakes with extra chips," my sister said while still looking at her menu and deciding what to drink.

"Oh, I don't think you want to have extra chocolate chips because you might get a tummy ache again," my mom said while looking at her menu.

"No, I will not a mom because I only will have two pancakes this time," my sister said.

"Oh, okay if you say so and where is that waiter because I am so hungry for a big juicy cheeseburger with a huge chocolate chip shake," my mom said while looking around for the waiter.

"I think I want the chicken selects with extra barbecue sauces and with a large Pepsi, "I said to the waiter while looking at the menu.

"Do you want the meal then because you get fries with the chicken selects and the soda?" he said and winked which made me blush and giggled.

"Yeah, sure that would be great," I said while not trying to blush again and looked down.

"Is there anything else you girls might want or need?" he said and looked straight at me and blushed.

"Oh, yeah can I get a coffee with extra cream and sugar also a slice of cherry pie and that would be all thanks? My mom told him.

He wrote down the rest of the order and collects the menus and walks off to the counter to give the cook your order of food. I couldn't stop staring at him. I can't believe he winked at me and blushed. I can feel butterflies in my stomach every time I looked at him even from the back when he was either at the counter or bussing tables. I was daydreaming what it was like if we went out to my mom snapped me out of my daydreaming and said...

"Wow, our waiter is so cute, and I wonder what his name is." my mom said and looking at the TV.

"His name is Hunter. I saw it on his name tag, and I think he is about fifteen just like Ayla “Sky said while playing her sky-blue Nintendo DS, she loves that things never go anywhere without it.

"Sky, you should ask for his number and I bet you guys make a cute couple just like your dad and me," my mom said and picks up Sky's case that dropped on the floor.

"Fine maybe later anywhere where is the bathroom because I don't see it, "I said while looking around for the restrooms.

"It's over there I can see it, it's over there," my mom said and points to the backside of the dinner.

"Thanks, be right back, "I said while standing up and grab my orange plaid total bag then walked to the bathroom.

While I was in the bathroom, I checked my makeup which kind of whip off from earlier. I took out my makeup from my bag and put my makeup case on to the sink and then looked in the mirror. I started to touch up my makeup and about five minutes I packed up my makeup bag case. Then I walked back to the table and say the cute waiter smiling at me. When I sat down at the table the waiter came and drop off some napkins and our soda. He smiled and gave us our drinks and told us that our food is going to be ready in twenty minutes then he walked back to the manager and said that he was going outside for a bit. About two minutes later Skye got up from the table and walked outside to talk to the waiter.

"My sister likes you and I never tell she looks like that when she sees a cute guy," she said to him and sat on top of the packing table.

"Really? I think she is really cute to too and do you think you can bring her out of here for me because I am kind of shy around girls who are really cute like your sister," he said and scratched his head.

"Sure yeah, and by the way my name is Skyler, and I am her sister," she said and put out her hand to shake his hand.

"Sweet and my name are Hunter, but you can call me Bray for short and my dad is the owner and manager of the dinner, so I work her sometimes," he said and shook her hand.

"You should come and talk to her. I know she will like that a lot," she told him.

"Yeah but, I think your food is done and I better go deliver the food to you guys later," he said they both walked into the diner.

He walks towards the counter and while Sky walked back to the table.

"Wow, our waiter looks really cute, I wonder if he has a girlfriend because I think he must be an amazing guy to be with," my mom said and smiled.

"Mom! That is like so gross even thinking about it makes me say eww... in so many ways," I said and made a disgusting face.

"Ayla, I think you really get his number and by the way his name is Hunter and I meet him outside. He told me that he didn't have a girlfriend, and he thinks you are cute Mackenzie. And this is your chance because it looks like he is going to take out the trash go and take to him. “Sky said and nudges me in the arm.

"Fine, I will go wish me luck, and he does look really cute and I should go get his number," I said with a giggle and stood up to go catch up to the waiter which he was outside already by the huge dumpster.

"Hey so, I was wondering why my sister said that you don't have a girlfriend because you look like you have one and you do like really hot too," I said and look away from him feeling like I shouldn't say it.

“, no, I don't, and really you do think I look hot? Plus, I was saying the same thing in my head about you are being cute," he said and smiled that made my heart skip a beat. "Really, and I got to go I think maybe us... should... um...get... to...know each other," I said and blushed.

"Yeah me too, hey here is my cell number call me but after my shift okay which ends in about an hour oh yeah and text me too," he said with a huge smile on his face and winks at me then handed a tiny piece of paper with his name and phone number then I program his number with a picture of him into my phone.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you my name, mines Ayla and yours is? “I said and smiled.

"My name is Hunter, but you can call me Hut for short, so I will text you later and I got to go bring your food to you, girls, after I washed my hands later," Damon said and went to the kitchen to wash his hands while I went to go back to the table and sat down.

"So, have you got his number yet? I hope you know that I am fine if you are starting to date and I think if your father was here, he would be really happy about it" my mom said as the waiter come to our table with our food.

"Here are the food girls, and enjoy, just let me know if you need anything else," Hunter said and smiled when he gave us our food then walked back to the counter to give a customer change.

While we are eating lunch, I still couldn't stop looking at Hunter he so cute and I can't believe I got his number. Skyler still loves her pancakes and still has chocolate on her face every time she ate chocolate chip pancakes. My mom was not trying to get caught by trying to steal some bits of Skyler's pancakes while she wasn't looking, and I tried to take a sip of her shake, but I got caught, she threw a French fry at me. Then Skye and I told mom that some cute guy was checking her out and made her blush. When she turns around, we are made of eating and getting ready to hit the road. Skye went to go pay for the food at the counter while mom and I watched since she still wanted to be treated like a big girl who we still did. As soon as she came back, she told me...

"Sis, Hunter said that he was going to go on to lunch in a few minutes and make sure that you gave him your number, so he knows who is texting him," Skyler said while zipping her hoodie which was sky blue like her eyes.

"Okay, in fact, I will be right back oh okay," I said while putting my hoodie on and started to walk to Hunter which he was cleaning off a table that was dirty.

"Hey, Ayla what's up? Did you forget to give me your number earlier? he said and smiled that make my heart skip a beat and put butterflies in my stomach.

"Um...yeah, I did, give me your phone so that I can program my number on your phone? “I asked Damon then smiled.

"Here you go, don't forget to take a picture of you for caller ID picture," he said and gave me his phone. His phone is a silver and black iPhone touch. I typed my name, some information and my phone number with a picture of me.

"Here you go, and I will text you as soon as I can," I said and gave him his phone back. "Thanks, so text you later," he said and gave me a surprise kiss on my cheek. I could feel my check turn hot and blushed.

"Bye, and wow I... can't...believe... you just did that, but I like, "I said and keep blushing from the kiss then I surprise kiss him on the cheek, but he turned his head so fast that I got him on the kiss.

"I′m sorry I couldn't help it and I know I shouldn't have done that. I think you guys are leaving now text you later, bye," he said then turned around and walk off.
