(5) The Academy

About two hours later we were finally here at the academy, my new home for the school year. My mother decided that it was best for her to drive most of the way there because I have a learning permit driver's license and I didn't want to get into another car accident. When we arrived at the gate, there was a huge iron gate that was about fifty feet long and had the intangibles of the school's name in the middle of the gate. There was a couple of guard at the gate that stopped us to probably check something in or us. My mom told him that we were here for freshmen and give him our school pass for today. About five minutes later he told us to go right in and gave us the map, so we wouldn't get lost. While driving up the long-curved driveway, I saw there were lots of beautiful tall trees that lined up perfectly along the road. There were lots of cars parking on both sides of the roads, with many people coming out of their own cars and walking towards the first building. A few minutes later we pulled up to the parking lot which is like a mini version of a football field like its shape. We were finally here, and it took us about three minutes to walk to the main hall which was called "Crest Hall", as soon as I turned around to look at the hall I saw this really cute hair with red and dark red streaks in his hair. As he turns around, I soon realized that was Hunter which I couldn't believe he was here at the school and I run him to him and gave him a huge warm hug which I have no idea why. We finally got our school orientation packet which is filled with lots of information and a list of fun activities.

"I didn't know you were going to this school, this fall?" I said and still hugging him, and I couldn't help smelling his cologne. Oh, my goodness, he smells so good like warm chocolate brownies with chocolate chip cookies which made my mouth watered.

"Hey stranger, I didn't know you were here either or going here too," he said and gave a warm kiss on my left cheek. "I hope we can hang out sometime, maybe we might have the same class or lunch and oh my gosh I can't wait!!!" I said with a huge warm smile on my face.

"Yeah me too, it's too bad that the guys and the girl's dorms are not near each other because that would have saved a long walk every single day, oh well I am going to need the exercise," Hunter said and smiled that light up his eyes.

"Yeah, me too. Oh, what group are you in? I am in group two." I said and wasn't trying tripped on the rug because the rug's corner was not in place.

"So am I an angel, this is going to be fun," he said while reaching for my hand. I know he really likes me which I hope.

"Yeah, it will be a fun year, and I get to be here with you," I said without blushing, but I couldn't help smiling.

"Hey, Hunt?" I asked him and look right at him while walking almost bumping him.

"Yeah?" he said and kept walking while still holding my hand.

"Do you believe in love first sight?" I asked him and try not to blush.

"Yes, I do, why you believe in it?" he asked me.

"I do, maybe there is a reason why I saw you at the dinner," I told him and looked away. "Maybe we were meant to be together or something?" he said.

"Yeah, I think so too!" I said and looked away from him until I spotted a tree.

About three hours later, our tour group stops at the guys and girl's dorm room buildings, the building lookalike it was just coming from straight out of college magazines. The entire door to the inside of the dorm building has a scanner that you had to swipe your school identification card which means that one who has a dorm in that building can come in and out at any time they want. Hunter decided to come with me to find my dorm with me while my mother and sister went to go find a bathroom in one of the main buildings. While Hunter and I were walking up to the building, he asked...

"Do you know where your room is?" he asked while I was looking in the folder for my dorm room sheet with the information on it.

"Yup, room 205 and it say that I get a roommate too, I just hope we get along or something," I said while we were looking for my dorm.

"Your room is over here, just a couple of doors downs from mine," Hunter said and guides me to my new bedroom. We enter the room 205 and saw that there was a girl in the room. The room looks and feels just right plus I don't have to be in here alone. I walked up to the girl and introduce Hunter and me.

"Hi, I am Ayla. I was assigned to this dorm room; I am your new roommate. For this school year" I said when she turned around and saw me and smiled.

"Oh hi, my name is Michael, but you can call me Leah it's short for my name, and I am so glad to meet you. I could smell your boyfriend or friend over there by the bed." Michael said then while making sure the room was just right.

"Really you can? How? Are you a vampire or something like that? "I asked her like I was a reporter from a big news channel or something.

"Yeah, I am, but I am a part werewolf, being what they called a hybrid. I could smell him from a mile and away," she said while sitting the on the bed on the other side of the room which I guess it will be hers.

"I sense you form a mile away" he said while walking right by my side he said and then looked out the window, "Well I should go to room to meet my roommate, so I will see you later or at the dinner thing and let you girls talk to get to know each other" he said and kissed me on the cheek and walked off.

"How can you smell him?" I asked puzzled.

"Well, he has a scent that only wolves can smell, since I can, also can I ask you something?" What kind is you well I mean like a wolf? Vamp or something?" she asked me and sat down right next to me on my bed.

"Nope, I am an angel and I also have a special power that I can heal things like animals, plants and other stuff that I am not sure about," I told her.

"Wow!! The only thing I have wolf and vampire stuff like super speed, super strong and stuff like that but I'm not that strong like the guys but I can take down a guy." Michael said.

"Sweet, so which side do you want since you got here first? Are you new here too well I mean a first-year student like me?" I asked her while looking around the room.

” Nope, I am an angel and I also have a special power that I can heal things like animals, plants and other stuff that I am not sure about,"

"Yup and I would take the left side of the room. And hey I hope we get to know each other better and be friends soon. The room had one window in the middle of the wall in the back, two medium size closets, twin sized beds, two dressers, and desks." she said and went to go take a phone call in the hallway.

While she was talking to her mom, I texted Damon to see if I can come and check his room out and meet his new roommate. I took out my phone and started a new text message to Hunter saying...

Text Message to Hunter,

"Hey, what room number are you? Because I wanted to check out your room and meet your dorm roommate if he is there? PS: I miss you, and I can't wait to see you again!! ;) LOL

About five minutes later Michael walked back into the room and plop onto the bed. She looked like she was going to have a panic attack because she was looking around the room for her hoodie. I checked my phone, and it said one new message, I could feel my heartbeat fast again, so I open the text message saying...

Text message From Hunter

"Hey, Beautiful. My room number is 228 and sure you can come over here. Plus, you should meet my roommate I will meet you outside of the room in five minutes can't wait to see you soon."

I told Michael if she wants to come with me to meet Hunter and his roommate Wyatt in the guy's building. She said sure and grabs her hoodie. We locked our door with the key that she had since I didn't get mine yet. After we locked our door we headed down to the main level of the building where our big is hang out room with stuff like some big screens TV's, huge bean bag chairs, a couch, and many other things. As soon as we got downstairs, I saw Hunter through the glass window of the door. As soon as I open the door, I ran to hug him, and I saw that he was smiling too.

"Hey, wolf, ready to go?" I asked him and then start to walk to the guy's building with Michael, Hunter and myself.

"Yup let's go, and I can tell that you two are going to be like best friends sometime soon. I can say" he said.

Finally, we were there, and his roommate came out of the room and introduce himself...

"Hi! my name is Daniel, but you can call me Dan it's short for Daniel, and I am Hunter's roommate, oh please do come in and sit," he said and smiled. We all walked into the bedroom and sat on the two beds.

"My name is Ayla, and this is Leah is short for Michael, she is my roommate too. So where do you guys since I mean which state or country?" I asked.

"Well, I am from Arizona where they make the best tea in the country. I so love Arizona's teas" Leah said and joked.

"I am from Washington where it rains pretty much every day," I said.

"I am from Montana, but I just move to Washington this summer," Hunter said.

"I am from California; people always say that's where happy cows are from!' Wyatt said and we all started laughing.

"So what kind of supernatural are you guys?" I asked them.

"I am a vampire, if you can tell from my pointy teeth, also don't worry I'm not going to drink your blood, well not yet anyway' " Hunter said.

"I am an angel, and I have a special power that no other angel has. I can heal people, animals, and plants" I said.

"What about you Leah?" Hunter asked.

"Well, I am what they called a mutt like they called a dog that has two different breeds in them. I am a half werewolf and half vampire. My dad is a one hundred percent werewolf and my Mom is one hundred percent vampire so that makes me fifty percent of each. You guys probably think me and a freak or something" she said while looking at the floor.

"No, you are not a freak. I am somewhat what a medium that I can move things with my mind, I can read people minds and I can control what a person is doing or feeling" Dan said.

"See it doesn't matter what we are in the world, it matters who are we and what we can do. And I bet that the other students have their own powers or whatever they are, and they must think that they are a freak" Bree said and looked at his phone.

"It's time for the dinner thing; do you guys want to walk there together?" Dan said.

"Yeah sure," Leah, Bree and I said at the same time.

"I have to call my Mom and dad to meet me there and I will be right back," Leah said and went to go call her parents to tell them that she is going to meet them in the dining hall.

"Yup, me too I better text my dad so he knows too," Bree said and pull out his phone to text his dad.

"My parents too or I might freak out or something," Dan said then started to type his text message.

"I should call my Mom right now and tell her to," I said, and I called her to tell her that I will meet her at the dinner thing.

"Everyone's parents said yes? "I said.

"Yup, and they said it's fine so let's go!" Leah said.

All four of us walked out of the guy's room, then started to walk to the dining hall that was by the main building of the campus. Dan ran back to the door and locked it, so he knows that no one would steal the things that he left in there. It took us about a half hour to find the hall plus we didn't have a map onus of the campus so that didn't really help us. The dining hall looks just like a church on the outside which it uses to be one until the school built a new one on the east side of the campus. We walked into the big wooden doors and saw our family's wait for us. I saw my Mom, and my sister waited on the benches on the other side of the hall, they were playing espy game. I walked up to them and introduce my friends to them.

"Mom, Skyie, meet my new friends that I just met a while ago. This Daniel he is a medium, Michael, she is half and half of a werewolf & you and vampire know Jacob from the dinner early today, he is a full werewolf," I said to my Mom and sister.

"And guys meet my Mom Reese, and my sister Phoenix and they are angels too," I said to my friends.

"Good hi Ayla’s friends It is a pleasure to meet you guys," My mother said.

"Hi guys, I wish I can come here but I am too young," Sky said sadly.

"In a couple of years maybe you can," Mom said to Sky.

"Well, I guess I have to go meet with my parents. I will see you on the first day of school later guys," Michael said.

"Yeah, us too bye and we can't wait for either bye," Daniel said.

"I will go find my dad, and we all can eat together to see you guys in ten minutes, bye," Hunter said and left to go find his dad.

"I like your friends Kenzie they look like there will be good friends with you and I am happy for you," my Mom said as we walked into the dining room.

"Yeah, me too!" Phoenix said and found a table for us to sit in the front of the room.
