Mark’s truck rumbled as they slowed to a stop for the red light at the turn before the on-ramp to the freeway. Darcy, still angry, continued to stare out over the dashboard. Curious, but not curious enough to interrupt whatever thoughts were going through her head because he didn’t want her to turn on him, he wisely let her stew in silence. He just hoped that once they got back home, she had worked through whatever she needed to work through. He would need her help explaining what was going on between the two of them to Rachel, who was sure to ask once she got home as well.
