Chapter 4
Ethan's eyes lock onto Alex's, his gaze intense. "I'll never be able to control my powers unless we're together," he says, his voice low and urgent.
Alex's mind races as she tries to process his words. "What do you mean?" she asks, her voice barely above a whisper.
Ethan takes a step closer, his eyes burning with intensity. "I mean that my powers are tied to you, Alex. When we're together, I can feel them stabilizing. But when we're apart, they spiral out of control."
Alex's eyes widen in shock. "That's not possible," she says, trying to deny the truth in his words.
Ethan nods. "I know it sounds crazy, but it's true. And if we're not together, I'm afraid of what I might do." He pauses, his voice cracking. "I'm afraid of hurting someone I care about."
Alex's heart skips a beat as she sees the vulnerability in Ethan's eyes. She knows that she has to make a choice, but she's not sure what the right one is.
Alex's eyes narrow, trying to understand. "How did you cope before meeting me?" she asks, her voice laced with skepticism.
Ethan's gaze drifts off, his eyes clouding over. "I didn't," he admits. "I was a mess, Alex. My powers were unpredictable and dangerous. And the moment your powers got triggered when you touched the blue marble... it became worse."
Alex's mind reels as she remembers the blue marble, the strange sensation that had coursed through her veins when she touched it. "What do you mean?" she asks, her voice barely above a whisper.
Ethan's eyes snap back to hers, his gaze burning with intensity. "We were meant to perform the mating ritual, Alex. Bound together by the moon's power. And when we are, my powers will be fully under control."
Alex's eyes widen in shock. "mating ritual?" she repeats, her voice trembling. "Ethan, I don't know what you're talking about."How come the rest of the pack can control, but you can't. Even when you are an alpha.
Ethan's eyes flash with a hint of wildness as he reveals, "I'm not just an alpha, Alex. I'm a Wild Fae. And I need the Moon Child to control my powers."
Alex tries to brush off the intensity of the moment, focusing on the task at hand. "I have to train. What are we working on today?"
Ethan's gaze lingers on her for a moment before he nods, his expression turning serious. "Today, we're working on your shielding techniques. You need to learn to protect yourself from mental attacks."
Alex nods, determination etched on her face. "Let's get started."
As they begin training, Alex can't shake off the feeling that Ethan's words have left her with. What does it mean to be a Wild Fae? And why does Ethan need her to control his powers? She pushes the questions aside, focusing on the training, but she can't help sneaking glances at Ethan, wondering what secrets he's hiding.
Months of training had passed, and Alex and Ethan were in the warehouse, preparing for another session. Ethan's eyes locked onto Alex's, his expression serious. "Today, you need to practice healing."
Alex hesitated, unsure. "Healing? But I have to get hurt first, right?"
Ethan nodded. "That's right."
Alex tried to delay. "But I'm not hurt now. Maybe some other time?"
Ethan's voice turned cold. "If you're not hurt, then I'll hurt you."
Alex's voice cracked as fear set in. "What do you mean you'll hurt me?"
Without warning, Ethan grabbed a knife and demanded, "Hold out your hand."
Alex hesitated, but eventually, she held out her palm. Ethan made a long, deep cut, and Alex cried out in pain. She sat on the floor, clutching her bloody hand.
Ethan bent down, his eyes intense. "Heal yourself, Alex."
Alex closed her eyes, focusing, but nothing happened. She begged, "Ethan, please help me heal."
Ethan refused, his voice firm. "Breathe, Alex. You have to do this yourself."
As Alex continued to try, her anger grew. She couldn't heal herself, no matter how hard she tried. "Ethan, please! Heal me! It hurts!"
As her anger reached a boiling point, her eyes started turning blue, a sign of her power responding to her emotions. Her wound started to heal slowly. She glared at Ethan, her blue eyes blazing. "Heal me, Ethan! I can't do it myself!"
As her anger peaked, her wound closed, leaving only a faint scar. Alex's chest heaved with exhaustion and anger, but she felt a sense of triumph. She had healed herself, without Ethan's help.
Alex stood up, her eyes still blazing with anger and her aura pulsating with energy. She raised her hand, and a burst of energy shot out, hitting Ethan with a psychic blast. He stumbled backward, caught off guard, and landed hard on the ground.
Alex's chest heaved with exertion and emotion as she glared down at Ethan. "That's for not healing me," she spat, her voice venomous.
Ethan struggled to sit up, his eyes wide with surprise and a hint of admiration. "Alex, your power... it's incredible," he said, his voice laced with a mix of pain and awe.
Ethan, the Wild Fae, moved with untamed grace, his dark energy swirling around him like a living shadow. He lunged at Alex, who stood calm and steady, her moonlit power glowing softly like a beacon in the night.
Alex raised her hands, and a gentle, silvery light pushed back against Ethan's attack, creating a shimmering barrier between them. Ethan danced around her, his movements fluid and wild, like a forest creature unleashed. But Alex kept pace, her lunar energy guiding her steps, her feet bare and her toes curled as if rooted to the earth.
As they trained, their powers intertwined, creating a beautiful, ethereal display. Ethan's wildness was tempered by Alex's calm, and her moonlit strength was tested by his fierce, fae energy. The air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers and the soft hum of magic.
Ethan's eyes gleamed with mischief as he summoned a whirlwind of leaves and twigs, sending them swirling around Alex. But she stood firm, her moonlit power calling forth a gentle rain to soothe and calm the tempest. The droplets sparkled like diamonds as they fell, and Ethan laughed, his voice like music, as he conjured a burst of sunlight to dance amidst the raindrops.
Together, they wove a spell of balance and harmony, their powers blending in a celestial dance. And as they trained, their bond grew stronger, their hearts beating in time with the rhythm of the earth and the pulse of the moon.
