(Izzie’s POV)

Arthur came home a little late that day. He got stuck in his meeting. I saw his car park in the driveway. So I decided to meet him by the stairs.

“I’m so sorry, love. I’m late. Are the twins asleep already?” he said concerned.

“No, love. I just burped them. They’ll still be awake for an hour or two. You still have time with them. Relax.” I said to him as we walked to our room. As he was about to get in the shower and wash we heard a strong thud coming from the nursery. I froze and looked at him. We heard crying. We tan to the room and saw AJ on the floor. His crib was half open.

I rushed to my baby and just cried. He was crying. I can feel the pain in the way he cried. “AJ!” I was crying so much now my vision is blurring. I looked at Arthur and saw his eyes clouded over. I assumed he mind linked Dr. Benson. He took AJ in one arm and carried Princess in the other. I held on to his arm where AJ was. Princess was crying, too. We got to the pack hospital and saw Dr. Benson waiting.

“Alpha. Luna.” She bowed in respect and held out her arms. Arthur gently gave AJ to her who was no longer crying. She laid him down on the bed and then he started seizing.

“Dr. Benson, what’s happening?!?” I exclaimed. “Anna, take the Alpha and Luna out of the room.” Dr. Benson ordered. “No. Please let us stay.” I pleaded. “Luna, you can’t do anything to help the young alpha now but I can. Please leave the room so that I can focus on what I am doing. Please!” With that remark, Arthur and I walked out of the room. They closed the door and I started bawling.

“What just happened? I knew I locked his crib. How could this happen? I locked it, Arthur! He just kept on rolling over since the first time he did this morning. I know I locked it. Arthur! I locked it!” I was hysterical now.

“I know, love. I’ll mind link Cameron to check the cameras.” he said reassuringly. “Hey baby. Look at me. You locked it. I believe you. You are doing such an amazing job at being their mom. Okay? AJ will be okay.”

My parents walked in and took Princess. I was inconsolable so Arthur had to sit me on his lap and I just inhaled his scent to calm myself down. He was talking to my parents and I guess he explained what happened. I had a bad feeling this morning and then this happened. How can this day get any worse?
