Chapter 3 pt 6: Battle Against Odds

Hana falls backward, let out the loudest sigh of relief, and visually winced in pain, Kaze fist relaxed as flames from his fist dissipate, Aoi was still on edge, so, she watch Hawk, seeing if he's faking it, but from no rising in the chest, indicating Hawk is dead. Probably dead from blood loss and Hana's and Kaze tag team punch. 

For moment, silent and peace, until Hana chuckled " you both look like s**t" She pointed out, Aoi glance at herself, her once black & white maid outfit was now stain with blood, she then touched her face, grimace little feeling sticky feeling of blood on her face, as  for Kaze, he looked at himself, after pushing his hair back to see, then he gasp dramatically " My clothing!" his outfit was almost completely destroyed, his right sleeve and glove brunt completely off, all over his clothing, was torn and ripped, dirt and blood stained pretty much everywhere on his clothing, his fingers went through his long white hair, pushed it back, then winced feeling pain tinge on his face, noting that he probably have bruise on his face, not pretty one. Kaze sighed " This clothing was custom made" Kaze muttered, as Hana rolled her eyes, Aoi shook her head " Only you Kaze, only you" Aoi stated " I do not want to hear it from girls that look a lot worse! hell, Hana, you look like s**t!" Kaze pointed at her, Hana blinked, looked at herself, He wasn't wrong, her clothing was torn from skirt to chest area, she was lucky it was still hanging on, though, she winced when she move her hand to her ribs, very sharp pain went throughout her body, she sit up, leaned forward coughing up blood " Hana!" Aoi and Kaze went to her immediately, concerned. 

" I think...I took lot more damage" Hana gasp, as she shallow, tasting blood "  No s**t, you coughing up blood, you dinglehoot" Kaze started with a sigh " You could've hung back, rest. This is serious, if anything happens to you, Fang is gonna be sad, Hana" Aoi pointed out, kneeling in front of Hana, checking her out for more injuries, Kaze politely looked away, as Aoi help Hana remove her, Aoi eyes widen, seeing nice bluish purple bruise forming around of Hana's left side, going from side to the chest " H-how are you even alive?" Aoi muttered, looking stunned " You....said something? " Hana weakly asked " Nothing, nothing at all, but, Hana, this is bad, you broke not only two ribs but from coloring of this, you broke four ribs, and bruised rest of them" Aoi explained that to Hana " W-well...shit" She wheezed, Kaze glance, hearing what Aoi said " Holy s**t, Hana" Kaze simply said, showing concern " We need to heal what we can, but, I literally have no magic, I can do some medicinal aid but not in here, we need to go outside"  Aoi stated " I barely can do even light spell" Hana managed to say, Kaze rub back of his head " I can use heal spell" Kaze kneel beside Hana, Aoi and Hana look at Kaze " You do?" They asked, showing surprise cross their face " mmm, yeah, though its chant one, I'm not like Fang with his chant less spells" Kaze admitted " You are full surprises all sudden, Kaze, And I have known you for 10 years" Aoi stare at Kaze " Everyone got secrets, Aoi" Kaze sharply stated, Aoi narrowed her eyes, then looked away, because Kaze got a point.

" Um...guys. Less about what, focus on who" Hana said, weakly waving her hand, Aoi and Kaze glance at one another, sighed, nodded, As Kaze place hand on Hana stomach, starting from there " O Omis, Petranas, Fehlim ve irisvir ability" Kaze spoke in foreign language, Hana didn't  know it, however, Aoi face held recognition, Kaze hand glowed bright yellow, Hana whined in pain, even let out a hiss " Yeah, I know, Not pleasant but bear with it" Kaze said without stopping, moving his hand up, Hana hissed more, feeling broken bones mend, pop and moved, which pain went from worst to bearable but broken bones mend, pop and moved? it was unbearable that Hana almost jumped away. Thankfully, Aoi holds Hana down so Kaze can heal her.

Meanwhile, In Hawk's mind, nothing but empty white space, he wonders if this what hell is, nothing but empty white space, then his mind wonder further, thinking of Trio that kick his ass and killed him, he let out an angry roar and went to punch but hit nothing but air " HOW DID HAWK LOST TO  NEKOMATA AND UNKNOWN BEING?!" Hawk angrily shouted " EVEN TO THAT EMPEROR KNIGHT b***h!" he roared again, punching at nothing but air, making even angrier. 

" My my, such anger....such hunger," A voice softy said, sounding silky, echoing around Hawk, as Hawk spun around, trying to find the source of that voice, slowly, every so slowly, white empty space turn dark, as shadowy hands grabbed hold of Hawk, panicky " Let hawk go!" Hawk thrashes wildly, trying to pull shadowy hands off him, Soft chuckle echoes around him " It's alright, Let them take you, it's alright, relax...." Voice suggested, Hawk doesn't know why but he relaxed, letting the shadowy hands take him, pulling to who knows where...

      Hawk was placed down, Hawk gasp, rubbed his body, trying to get the sickening feeling off him, before he looked around, It was still dark, making Hawk narrow his eyes, as his dark vision kick in, as he looks around, again, nothing but dark space " Where are you?!" Hawk called out, growling with frustration " My, calm down, Hawk of black boar tribe, give me minutely, it takes me a while to gather myself" a Mysterious voice said, As darkness moved to one side, forming into something, no...someone. 

Hawk watched with awe " Hawk...is at...Awe" Hawk muttered, standing in front of Hawk is a sun-kissed man who is about 6'0 tall with short combed back white hair with single piece hair on the forehead, crimson red eyes with a slit as the pupil, almost like a cat. This man wore a well-tailored suit without a tie, showing a bit of his chest, this man gives off a noble vibe. On his right ear is an earring that hawk often sees at Oyonazia Kingdom, hanafuda earring, if Hawk recalls correctly " Are you a noble?" Hawk asked, curious about this man " Hmm" the man tilt his head, then let out mere chuckle " Yes, in a way"  The man said, before  snapping his fingers as Hawk vision change, his eyes blinked adjusting new scenery, the new scenery was garden with morning glory flowers " Sorry, for the change, but your mind is awfully boring" The man with bored look " Uh..." " instead of standing there, like a dumbass, speak your mind, Hawk of Black boar Tribe" The man said, sitting in lounge like chair that magically appeared when the man sit down, Hawk growled little at being called dumbass but something about this man is setting alerts throughout Hawk's mind, So, he calm himself down and said " Who....are you?" Hawk ask with a tinge of fear in his voice. 

" To think your kind forgotten about me" The man sighed, Flick speck of dust off his sleeve, Hawk just stared " The name is Zekdis" The man introduced himself  " Zekdis?" Hawk muttered the name to himself, for a moment, the name didn't sound familiar, couldn't place his name to anywhere else either " Is it that hard to remember my name? tsk tsk, I'm disappointed in you, mostly in your kind, I was pretty much worship by your kind for a very long time ago" Zekdis said with a shake of his head, then glaring at Hawk, his red eyes glowed, shadowy like snakes surrounded Zekdis " Perhaps, I show you my power, to help jog your memory, Boy." Zekdis glared at Hawk, as he speaks in demonic sort of tone, as snakes lung forward, wrapping around Hawk, choking him, Hawk gasped, feeling snakes choking him, in back of Hawk's mind memory of when his great great grandfather, shaman of his tribe, told him about God, a God that almost destroys the world, a god that is a god of chaos, trickery, and destruction, hated by his own family, the name echo within his mind " you.....*gasp* god of chaos, trickery, and destruction * Gasp* and our creator!" Hawk screamed out, as he felt his life about to end again, until Snakes disappeared, Hawk fall to his knees, hand on his throat, taking in greedily breaths of air "Good boy, you remember me, must admit, your great-great-grandfather was wise man, pity that he had to die like that" Zekdis said with an amusing look, Hawk fearfully looked up at Zekdis, and had a bit of shame on his face at the mention of his great-great grandfather " mmm, fear, How I miss it" Zekdis said, licking his lips, as if he feeds off that fear " However, get up Hawk'' Zekdis commanded, glaring at Hawk, Hawk immediately stand up, stand completely still, looking at anything but Zekdis.

" Tell me what else you remember about me?" Zekdis asked, pretty curious about how much hawk remembers, as Zekdis walks around Hawk, waiting for a response " You are Zekdis, god of chaos, trickery, and destruction, Creator of Ogres, Orcs and Goblins, Son to Xekbris and Zaotl, you have many brothers, sisters, cousins but what makes you stand out is that you have twin brother name-" " ENOUGH, do not mention his name in my presence!" God of darkness cut Hawk off abruptly, glaring at Hawk with burning red eyes, his face twist with anger, Hawk immediately closed his mouth, sweating with fear, God of darkness calmed down, pushed his hair back in perfectly combed back way, then placing his hands behind of his back " Hmm that's basic knowledge of me but that's fine" Zekdis walks around Hawk some more, making Hawk very nervous " you actually lot smarter than I thought" god of darkness added, Hawk eyes flash with rage toward Zekdis, Zekdis smirk right back, daring Hawk to talk back, for while they just stared before Hawk looks down, Zekdis smirk widen before he chuckles " Guess I scare you that much, good" Zekdis stated, then briefly looked to Morning glories with an unreadable look, slowly look at Hawk `` Tell me, What do you desire?" God of darkness asked. 

Hawk stared at Zekdis, not sure why he asked that. However, For some reason, he felt a strong desire to say what he wanted. 

Suddenly the strong desire kicked in and Hawk said " Hawk's wants to be strong and powerful. Powerful enough that all tribes fear and admire hawks. '' Hawk looked at Zekdis with a determined look, stating his desire so clearly. Zekdis grinned " So, you want power?" God of Darkness asked. 

" Yes," Ogre said with a firm nod.

" Very well, I can give you that power," God of darkness said, sit down as chair formed from shadows behind Zekdis when he sat down " Really?" Hawk looked generally surprised " Yes. However, I don't give power out for free" God of darkness said, crossing his legs. 

" Hawk will do anything" Hawk declared, wanting nothing more but power right now. 

" I knew you would say that. So, Kneel, kiss my boot and swear loyalty to me" Zekdis kick the single leg out, Zekdis boot was made from fine leather, from what kind it's hard to tell since the color of the boot is pure black, eyes flared, watching Hawk with slight sadistic grin cross his face. 

Hawk at first held disgust, but wanting power won over as he kneeled in front of Zekdis, gently grasping hold of the boot, placed a sloppy kiss on it, and said " Hawk of black boar tribe swears loyalty to you and only you, Hawk's King". 

Zekdis grin widen, his red eyes glowed more, intensifying its red hue more, as the god of darkness put his booted leg down and reach over, placing his hand on the ogre's bald head " Before you receive this power, you must complete this task" Zekdis said, keeping straight face. 

" What such task are you giving this humble servant ?" Hawk asked, curiously, didn't really lift his head, mostly due to fear since Zekdis hand is on his head, if Zekdis wanted to, he can just rip his head off with a simple twist and pull. 

" Bring me the boy with ashen hair," God of Darkness said with a slight growl, for moment Hawk wasn't sure why this god of darkness wanted this boy but Hawk doesn't care about that, he will complete this task to keep this power from God of darkness " Consider this done, Hawk's King" Hawk bowed his head further. 

Once Hawk swore his loyalty to Zekdis and accepted his task as a follower of Zekdis. From hawk's head to slowly throughout his body glowed with a red blackish hue. Suddenly, a sharp unpleasant sensation caused throughout Hawk's body, as his body twisted and turned, Hawk roared in pain "Forgotten to mention, my power eats your darkest desire, turning you into something much more fearsome, if you of course survive it, first." Zekdis crouched down, grabbed Hawk's by his face, Hawk's face twisted up in pain, barely looking at Zekdis due to this pain " You got this, my pet, if not? well, perhaps you are not my champion." 

with those words echoing within Hawk's head, he slowly lost consciousness, everything faded to dark, as Zekdis laugh echoed.

  Kaze finished healing Hana, started healing Aoi who refused at first but Kaze didn't give her any chance to refuse before just healing her. During the healing phase, the air suddenly turns cold and eerily calm.

Hana, taken whiff immediately regretted it. " Ugh, this smell is foul and wrong" Hana muttered, she pinched her nose close, then her eyes widened in fear and her ears flattened, sensing something clearly wrong. Aoi kneels down once Kaze finishes healing her, her hand resting on her Rigormortis tightly. Kaze clenched his fist, standing beside Aoi, looking around. 

then they heard a roar, it wasn't a normal roar, it felt more of a demonic roar.  Aoi's eyes fell down toward Hawk. her eyes widened in horror " My god" Hana and Kaze heard and followed her gaze " What in the....." Kaze trailed off " Frostbite hell" Hana finished seeing Hawk stood up, covered in nothing but shadowy snakes that were biting, snaking around, covering all of his body in a big shadowy dome. 

Then someone-no, not someone, hawk stood up from within the shadowy snake dome, making the dome dispersed. Hawk didn't look the same anymore. Hawk's eyes glowed an eerie red color, his once brown skin turned black with some red snakes coiling around his arms and legs, his scars stand out more as well. He lost all his fat, making him have a herculean body, he reached over, grasped his large bone ax.....the moment he grabbed it. The large bone ax was suddenly coated in a shadowy snake, not even in 30 seconds, it dispersed. The large bone ax was reformed and in different colors. 

The large bone ax, bone part of ax turned black in color, sharp jagged lines were sharper and more jagged in the color of dark red, on closer inspection, Hawk's large bone ax looked eerie and creepy, almost as if the large bone ax was watching the trio. 

" I don't like this..." Hana muttered, her ears flattened, her tail wrapped around her waist, fear was clear on her face. 

" Yeah, something fishy is going on here," Kaze said, tearing his sleeves off, then clenched his fists, watching Hawk with concern and also fear. He never saw anything like this.

" Don't do anything rash guys. Stay on guard, Hawk isn't the same as before" Aoi warned her friends, holding her Nodachi in front of her, narrowed her eyes at Hawk, mostly behind Hawk because she noticed something, something she hoped to never see again. The Giant shadowy snake with red intelligent glowing eyes.

Hawk grinned suddenly, it was a terrifying grin " Hawk is going to f*****g kill you all," Newly formed Hawk said, crouched down a bit, then with all of his might, suddenly jumped up. For a split second, he was gone, leaving nothing but a cracked stony ground. 

Hana, Aoi, and Kaze look around in a panic because Hawk just poof! 

the nekomata, using all her cat-like senses, suddenly looked up " A-above us!" She shouted, pointed up, just as  Hawk descended down rather fast, not wasting time, Hana jumped back, Aoi dodge to the left, and Kaze dodged to the right. 

BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

Hawk crashed down, lifting up pebbles, dirt, and some goblins corpses, hell, the trio felt a rush of wind from that, sticking their ground, looking at Hawk with fear in their eyes, Hawk grinned darkly " Hawk is really powerful now, haha!" Hawk let out a boom of a laugh, almost like the ones you hear in a tavern after a nice drink.

Aoi's eyes narrowed at hawk, she gritted her teeth, that dark power around Hawk is making her remember stuff that she locked away, the trust, the betrayal, the pain... 

She briefly closed her eyes, taking a steady breath. Then, she snapped her eyes open, pure fire of determination was in her eyes, glaring at hawk.Hawk, feeling the glare, turned to Aoi, growled in fury, and glared right back " Hawk going to kill you first!" Hawk declared, as he took a step forward, then -ZOOM- Aoi swung up her Rigormortis, block Hawk's attack with his newly formed bone ax, Aoi gritted her teeth once more, feeling her whole body shake at blow she blocks, she even struggled to push Hawk's ax back.

" Tell me....what did that snake promise you?" Aoi asked, growling, for a split-second noticing Hana and Kaze coming into view " Snake? oh, you talking about Him, are you? " Hawk questioned back, before pushing his bone ax more onto Aoi's weapon, grinning as he did so " He promised Hawk Power. As long as I complete his tasks" Hawk explained.

" What sort of tasks?" Aoi asked, pushing back, well struggling to push back " Simple really, the first task is to find the boy with ashen hair after Hawk's kill you all" Hawk said, pushing Aoi back, even swing up, breaking Aoi's guard, her eyes widen, her nodachi almost flew out of her hand, as Hawk grinned, swinging downward...

" Like hell I allow you to take Fang!" Aoi snapped, with a single hand, grasp her nodachi, then spun around, slamming her nodachi against bone ax -crashed- bone ax crashed down into the stony ground. Then she jumped on his bone ax, ran up it but before she could fist suddenly came to view, for a split second her eyes widened, before -BAM- fist hit her directly in the face, a crack was heard as blood flew. 

for a moment, Aoi went flying, passed Kaze and Hana " Aoi!" Hana and Kaze shouted out, eyes widened seeing Aoi go by them. Hearing Kaze and Hana shouts, she opened one eye, she tried to open another one but blood seemed to seal it shut, she flipped but it wasn't enough, she skidded, rolled and hit the ground in a crumble mess. 

that hurt...I'm really out of shape...ugh, Aoi thought, struggling to get up, as blood dripped on stony ground " Aoi, move!" Kaze shouted, running forward but Kaze was too late...

Aoi looked up, vision blurred in and out, she even saw crimson from the blood that was coming from her forehead, she was also sure her nose is broken, seeing Kaze panic look and Hana right behind him with a look of fear and horror, before suddenly, she was lifted up by Hawk, his speed is too great. 

" Tell Hawk what you mean about not taking Fang? "Hawk asked, holding Aoi by her throat, squeezing her windpipes, Aoi gasp, grabbing hold of hawk's hand trying to break free but his strength is godlike '' Kiss....my....ass" Aoi managed to say with a grin, Hawk roared in her face, covering her with his saliva, went to slam her down into the ground until Kaze punched Hawk's wrist with darkenflame fist, Hawk didn't roar out in pain like he used to, he just grunted, giving Kaze the look of annoyance. 

what? it should've burned him! Kaze thought, looking shocked, as he looked at Hawk's wrist, nothing. not even a scratch or burn mark.  

" seems to Hawk, you want to die first" Hawk tossed Aoi aside, as Aoi hit the stony ground with a thud, Kaze growled, for split second, smoke came from Kaze's nose " Tell Hawk....white hair, are you dra-" -punch- Hana appeared punched Hawk right in the face, look of surprise on Kaze and Hawk face,  Hana's punch was very unexpected.

" you stupid cat" Hawk growled, grabbed Hana by her tail, Hana hissed, trying to s***h at Hawk's hand, he decided to slam Hana into a cave wall over and over again, Hana was fighting but repeatedly getting slam into the wall was f*****g with her senses, Hawk slams her one last time before letting go, as Hana slowly falls to the ground, barely even moving. 

" Now, where were we?" Hawk turned to Kaze, in a slow manner, however, Kaze's other sleeve was burnt and gone, both fists were on fire. However, what got Hawk was Kaze's eyes. 

Black sclera creeps out filling entire eyes, as Kaze's pupils turned sharp " you are a Dragonoid...Here Hawk thought your kind was gone" Hawk grinned evilly " Shut up, you insignificant worm" Kaze's tone suddenly changed into something deeper and rumble beneath his throat. 

" insignificant worm? How dare you!" Hawk roared at Kaze, charged at him, Kaze charged right back, fists met weapon, weapon met fists. a whirlwind of Black and white flames hit and surrounded them, wanting to burn but hawk swung, causing fire to dispute. Hawk kicked out, Kaze blocked it, flipped back, dodging a large bone ax that would've cut him in two. 

Kaze duck under the overhead swing, coated his leg with the flames now, give Hawk a sharp sidekick to his side, barely even flinching, hawk switch ax to his left hand and punch forward with his right directly at Kaze, Kaze barely even saw it coming, as he has taken a direct hit to the chest -crack- as Kaze went flying, landed in crouched, before collapsing on, holding the left side of his chest, coughing, wheezing. 

fuck....Kaze thought in pain, black sclera was fading in and out, Kaze look up just in time to see Hawk in the air, ready to crash him, just on the right moment, Kaze rolled out of the way as Hawk created a crate in the stony ground right where the butler used to be at. 

frostbite hell, he's strong, stronger than before...I might have to shift to my other form...Kaze thought, taking in a deep breath, about to shift, before suddenly " HANA KICK!!!!!!" a very familiar voice shouted out as Hawk went forward, face planted the cave ground rather hard, Hana was in mid-air, leg out, she looked bloody, her clothing torn here and there, her bandage was loose flying freely, as she landed, her eyes were more of cat slit, blood cross her face was making sort of scary like, as she lets out a breath, getting into another stance " That's my special move, you evil ogre b***h" Hana cussed at Hawk, before spitting out a glob of blood on to the ground.

" Hana?" The butler blinked, looking at her. 

" Yes? Woah, Kaze, you look even worse" The nekomata brutally said, looking at Kaze with a look of surprise. She's right, Kaze looked like he had been fighting in a war and cleaning the horse stables for a month. 

"Shut up, cat, you look like s**t too," The butler said, dusting himself off, casually talking to Hana, while Hawk let out a growl of anger and at the same time "shut up" From Kaze and Hana. Bad idea because Hawk slammed his palms on the cave ground, causing a quake that threw Kaze and Hana off balance. 

" f**k!" Hana cursed as she fell on her ass. 

" Language!" Kaze shouted out as he struggled to keep his balance.  

" DIE!" Hawk who recovered from Hana's kick, swinging his large bone ax right at Hana, who narrowly dodged that "Sorry ogre but no" Hana wittily said, dodging his large bone ax by ducking really low, using her cat-like reflexes too, he growled started swinging wildly and angrily, making him look like a blur. Hana was struggling to keep up with his wild swings, she was getting cuts but no fatal wound, However, she was breathing hard, losing stamina and speed, as she jumped back, breathing hard, however Hawk lung forward, large bone ax pulled up, going for a downward s***h. 

Hana went to jump back but winced, her ankles were stuck in place, shaking. All that hopping and dodging pulled a lot of muscles, enough to stop Hana from even jumping back. 

Fuck f**k f**k, Come on body, move.....MOVE!!! Hana thought, fear and panic coursed through her body, her eyes widened, seeing the ax coming down towards her, she involuntarily closed her eyes.....
