Chapter 3 pt 5: Battle Against Odds

 Hawk raised his large bone ax up, however, Hana bravely charged forward and said " Not likely, this cave will be your GRAVE!" Hana declared, jumped up, going for a spin kick " Wait, Hana!" Aoi called out, but it was too late, Hana spin kick right at Hawk's face, putting a lot of force into the kick, Hana grinned, feeling the kick connect, but her grin falters when she's heard a yawn, her eyes widen, looking at Hawk, he barely looks hurt from her kick " Hawk turns"  Hawk said, barely giving Hana time to retreat as he grabbed her by the leg, with one strong pull up, then swing down into the stony ground, Hana gasped at impact.

" Hana!" Kaze shouted out, as he throw two of his daggers at his arm and leg, sadly the two daggers didn't pierce the skin, it's more like it bounce off the hawk's fatty arm and leg, it didn't help that Hawk flexed, making fatty arm and leg bulged.

" You gotta be kidding me" Kaze muttered, as his left eye twitched in annoyance, as Hawk swung his large bone ax down toward Kaze, Kaze eyes widened, jumped back fast....however...

" Not fast enough" Hawk stated as he swing Large bone ax right diagonally on retreating Kaze, slashing across Kaze's clothing, almost broke his skin until Aoi slide over, swing her Rigormortis meeting Hawk's large bone ax, causing sparks to fly, pushing forward, sliding Rigormortis cross large bone ax and pushed up, making Hawk pull back from that force " YOU!" Hawk's eyes widen in fear and anger, as Aoi wordlessly singlehandedly holds her Nodachi right in front of her, glaring up at Hawk `` WIPE THAT LOOK OFF YOUR FACE!" Hawk shouted, roaring with anger, swing his large bone ax down at Aoi full force, as Aoi merely sighed, Swing Rigormortis up, blocking large bone ax, both weapons meet, causing even more sparks to fly and force of the wind that went everywhere, almost made Kaze go flying from such force, Hawk tries to force his large bone ax down to cut Aoi, since large bone ax is much larger than Aoi's Nodachi however, Aoi didn't back out nor kneel from the force that Hawk is giving her, she was fighting back with her own strength and she was winning. 

What? Mere human matching me in strength? Hawk thought in wonder, for moment fear and recognition flash cross hawk's face as he looked at Aoi " Y-Y-You're the Emperor Kni-" Before Hawk could finish, Hana punched him right in the face, even knock out tusk, he even took a few steps back, Hana hold up her fist, her fist was red in color, she punched him with full strength and force. Hana pants, before she'll kneel down, cough up blood as Aoi and Kaze went to her immediately.

" Hana, you okay?'' Aoi asked since she was the first person to reach Hana, looking at her, noticed blood going down Hana's chin, as Hana weakly wiped it as she said " I-I'm fine" Hana managed to say, holding her stomach with a grimace of pain cross her face " Like hell you are, you took a great deal of damage from Hawk slamming you into the ground like that, you probably got broken ribs and internal bleeding!" Kaze pointed at Hana, pretty much pointing out how much damage she took from that blow " I said, I'm fine" Hana hissed out, glaring up at Kaze with a determined look " This is nothing" Hana added with a weak grin, Kaze stared at Hana with wide eyes. 

She's pushing herself this much? Kaze thought in wonder, as he heard Aoi sigh " Don't push yourself, Hana, you could risk hurting yourself more when you push yourself like that" Aoi strictly said, looking at Hana " For last time, I'm fine- WATCH OUT!!!" Hana shouted as she tackled Aoi and Kaze, Whoosh- CRASHED! , Thanks to Hana quick movement, They dodged Hawk's Large bone ax that cut right into the stony ground, making a straight cut into the ground as Hana flipped over tackled Aoi and Kaze, crouched above their heads, panting heavily, Aoi and Kaze sit up looking at where large bone ax is at, they realize they would've been killed if wasn't for Hana's quick movement.

" Thanks for that, Hana" Aoi thanked Hana, getting up to her full height " For once, I'm glad you're a cat" Kaze chuckled dryly also getting to full height " Your welcome Aoi" Hana take a deep breath, raised to her full height, heard what Kaze said as she does so, she rolled her eyes and said " Your welcome too, Old man" Kaze heard that letting a slight smile came across his face before he turned serious " Hana, Can you keep up?" Aoi asked, Hana, chuckled, crack her knuckles " Of course I can, You're the one that taught  me how to fight" Hana stated, looking ahead as Aoi chuckle little before looking ahead with a serious look, seeing Hawk pulling his large bone ax free from the ground, letting out an angry roar " YOU BROKE HAWK"S TUSK, YOU MOUSEFODDER" 

Hana looked greatly offended, then let out a hiss " I'll GLADLY BREAK THE OTHER ONE, YOU PISSCLOTH OGRE!" Hana shouted, her tail went straight when she angrily hissed, Hawk now looks offended, and let out roar of anger, charged forward, holding his large bone axe with both hands as he charged, Aoi got ready to jump, Kaze got ready to jump right, Hana got ready to jump left, moment Hawk got close, he pulled his arms back, taking huge breath, to point veins on hawk neck, bulge with a effect, as Hawk swing down with full force, however,  Trio dodged, going in different directions, as Large bone axe smashed right in middle, hitting nothing but stone ground which break, creating zig zig line cross the stone ground, Hawk howled in anger once more, then looked up, narrowed his eyes on Aoi, as was starting to descend, Aoi noticed Hawk looking at her, letting out Tsk of annoyance, and brought up Rigormortis, did front flip forward, bring her blade down on Hawk, however, Hawk expected this, brought up his Large bone axe up, blocking the Nodachi with a grunt " Not today, Emperor Knight" Hawk muttered, Aoi eyes flared up in hatred of that name, before she could retort or even fight back, Hawk pushed forward, swing downward left, breaking Aoi's guard, Aoi eyes widen, she tried to recover but Hawk brought up his knee, rammed it into Aoi's abdomen,  For moment, Aoi lost her breath, not even giving enough time to even gain her breath break, Hawk grasp Aoi by back of neck and started slamming her into stony ground, brutally. Blood and some of Aoi's clothing went flying as Hawk was beating her up like rag dog " AOI!" Kaze eyes widen at such brutality, as he tossed another dagger at Hawk, in a panic, Hawk holds bloody Aoi up in triumph, about to kill her right here and now, but Hawk sensed danger, tossed Aoi aside, spun around to catch something in his teeth, before snapped down dagger into pieces, then let out a grunt of surprise and pain, seeing another dagger in his tender underarm, Kaze tossed his last dagger at hawk right behind the first dagger, but it seems not to do that much damage since Hawk pulled out as if it was an annoying thorn, glance at Kaze, with one savage grin, he tossed Kaze's dagger right back, charge right behind it, holding his large bone ax to his chest once more.

Kaze caught his dagger by the hilt, went to toss right back but Hawk rammed right into Kaze, sending Kaze flying, however, Hawk caught Kaze by his leg, a single word crossed Kaze's mind was: s**t. 

Before being ground pound into the stony ground, in a similar fashion that happened to Aoi, then being tossed up, blood and torn up clothing was noticed, even his ribbon holding Kaze hair snapped, his white hair flowed freely " K-kaze!" Hana's eyes widen in horror and fear, as she glances at Aoi who also watched, weakly tries to get up to help Kaze but she was still dazed, shaking her head, Kaze hand twitch, hearing Hana, blood, and hair cloud his vision, he saw Hana running toward him, briefly, he was reminded of someone of his past.

Ambek....? Kaze thought, in wonder, right before Hawk swung his large bone ax across Kaze's chest, Kaze screamed out in pain, for a moment, he thought his life was over " NOOOO!" Aoi and Hana screamed out, as Kaze land on the ground, his body flopped, Hana was near him, slide to him " Kaze, no no no, come on" Hana lift his head, moving his hair, a grimace of pain was on his face, Hana looked making sure he was not cut in two pieces, miraculously, he wasn't, Hana furrowed her brows, blood was noticeable but it wasn't flowing out " huh, who knew this......" Kaze spoke up, Hana eyes widen, looked at Kaze who shakily would reach in his chest pocket, pulled out a flat clay piece of someone hand print, mostly noticeable part of a hand print, it was more of claws print " would save me" Kaze finished, Hana looked at, seeing cut right in the middle of the flat clay piece, then it crumpled in pieces, Kaze smiled weakly, sadness was in that smile.

Thank you, Ambek, for saving me again, Kaze thought, thanking his old friend, before sitting up with help of Hana, Aoi notice, let out a sigh of relief " I swear if it isn't Fang giving me a heart attack, its Kaze that giving me one" Aoi muttered to herself, before hopping up, she took a lot of damage but nonetheless, she's fine, well, her right leg seems broken, the way she hops up, putting more pressure on her left leg.

Hawk growled, noticed no one isn't dead yet, cursed the gods for giving them luck and such as, as he howled in anger, once more, charged toward Kaze and Hana " Hana, I got idea, but I need you to follow my lead" Kaze said quickly, seeing Hawk charging toward them " Erm, okay, how about Aoi?" Hana asked " she'll know once she sees us" Kaze simply said, as Hana shrugged, as a step behind Kaze, helped steady him, Kaze quietly speak to Hana about the plan, she listen, a wide grin showed on her face, whatever Kaze said, Hana must've like it.

" Run, but not too fast," Kaze said, started running, right behind him, Hana followed, toward Hawk, whose eyes flickered in surprise for a moment, before grinning, picking up his speed, when both were close to colliding, Kaze suddenly shouted " Bunny hop!" Hana jumped, annoyance was on her face at how well she did a bunny hop, as Kaze slide right under Hawk's....erm....neither region, Hawk realized what happens, couldn't stop, not even to block, Kick to back head from annoying Nekomata, as tripped over his own feet, went down, hard.

" You had to kick him in the back of the head?" Kaze blankly looked at Hana, who grinned happily and said " Yes, he went down didn't he?" Hana pointed out, Kaze stare, he couldn't help but agreed, she got him down alright, but that isn't part of the plan, Hawk lift his head up, noticeable red mark on his face was somewhat comical but it scrunch up in anger and embarrassment, got up calmly, slowly turned to face Kaze and Hana. 

" Oh....that's a face" Hana muttered, seeing clear hatred on Hawk's face " I would have that same face too, if I got a kick in back of head that causes me to fall on my face" Kaze stated, before suddenly fist was in Kaze view, sending him skyhigh, Hana's eyes widen in shock, seeing Hawk directly right in front of them " How...eh?" Hana looked surprised, before twisting her body to dodge the wide slap that hawks had almost given her, feeling wind behind that cross her face, twist once more to jump aside to dodge Hawk's large bone ax " AHHHHHH" Hana screamed in shock, she barely dodge that, she almost lost her tail....again.

" Will...you...HOLD STILL?!" Hawk shouted in anger, swinging his large bone ax at Hana once more " haha NO!" Hana screamed out, dodging again, it was back and forth of Hawk swing his large bone axe at Hana who keep dodging, for split second Hana noticed Aoi coming up, pushing herself, as Hawk swing once more this time coming from the right, Hana jumped up, landed on flat edge of bone axe, balancing " Eh?" Hawk looks confused to where Hana went, then he heard a chuckle, looked at his large bone axe, seeing Hana crouched on it, like an actual cat, her tail move back and forth, she grinned " You are big dumb oaf, you crappy ogre" She said, Hawk facial expression went from surprise to anger immediately, swing his large bone axe around, trying to get Hana off, Hana holds a tight glance at Aoi, Then at Kaze that started moving in, moment, Aoi got closer, Hana back flipped off Large bone axe, going right behind Aoi who swing Rigormortis, stopping Hawk from spinning " YOU!" Hawk growled seeing Aoi `` Yeah, it's me" Aoi softly said with a grin, As Hawk narrowed his eyes, before pulling his large bone axe back, Aoi reposition herself, holding the Rigormortis(A Nodachi) in front of her with one hand, for moment, they stare at one another, figuring each other out, then Hawk swing his Large bone ax from the left, causing Aoi to block quickly with one hand, Aoi grunted at the force, before she spins causing their blades to spark from each other, switch Rigormortis on her other hand s***h at his leg, giving him shallow cut on his right leg, Hawk roared in pain, kicked out, Aoi jumped back, well, more like skipped back, narrowly dodging the kick, looking at his cut with a proud expression before turning back her emotionless face.

" GRRRRRR" Hawk growled, ignoring the pain in his leg, he pulled his large bone ax up, taken a step forward, WOOSH, He bring down his large bone ax down with a single meaty hand, Aoi bend her knees little, holding her Rigormortis to the side.

Flash......Strike....Aoi thought, taking side step to the left with such speed, after image was in her spot, as Hawk's large bone axe went right through the after image, thinking he successfully hit her, then he looked seeing no blood, surprise flicker cross his face, Aoi who slide to his blind side, taken deep breath, slowly release her breath as she swings Rigormortis crossed the fresh wound that Kaze's given him from his dagger, turning it into wider cut, blood gushed out from the cut, staining Aoi in it, Hawk howled in pain, but, he was still living, the cut was only fresh wound to him.

" YOU DAMN HUMAN!" Hawk roared towards Aoi, spun around swing his large bone axe, going for upper side cut, which Aoi somehow managed to block, Aoi grunted, feeling Hawk pushing against her, trying to make her lose her balance, Hawk tsked, pulled back, slam his Large bone axe down on Aoi now, who in return blocked once more, Hawk roared in anger, putting more force into his weapon, trying to make Aoi kneel, yet...somehow, She's fighting back " will you just DIE ALREADY?!" Hawk shouted, wanting to kill this woman, so he pulled back again, attacked once more, using all of his strength, however, but with some damn luck, Aoi kept on blocking Hawk's attempt to kill her.

Aoi keeps on blocking, but each time, she can feel her inhuman strength leaving her, to her, it has been a while since actual combat with someone that can rival her in strength, she gritted her teeth and keeps on fighting, well, blocking, not giving in until " Aoi! " Kaze called out, as Aoi glance back to see Kaze running, flanking Hawk's from his left side, his fist pulled back, Aoi looked back at Hawk "Sadly for you, You are too weak to kill me," Aoi said loud enough, to cause Hawk to face turn into a face of pure rage, as he pulled back, once more swing his large bone axe down toward Aoi, However, Aoi smirked, swing Rigormortis, coming from upper right, at the same time, both weapons meet, causing sparks to fly, making their arms fly up with their weapon, Hawk's face twist from shock and anger, too slow to even recover, as Aoi was also little slow to recover, however, Hana was behind her, wrapped her arm around Aoi's waist and jumped back, as Kaze was at Hawk's left side.

I have to use this......, Kaze thought, pulled his fist further back, DARKENFLAME FIST!, Kaze shouted within his mind, instantly black flames with some white in it appeared around the fist, burnt his white glove off completely off, as smell of burnt clothing filled the air, Hawk sniffed, eyes widen, glance over seeing  Kaze's with Black flames with white in it fist, going toward his side, single thought went throughout his mind: Black flames? hold up...with white?

just as Hawk spun his body, holding his large bone axe in hands, using that to recover and to hit Kaze, Kaze noticed quickly pull his fist up, doing flamed uppercut, hitting the blade, Hawk grinned thinking he split Kaze fist in half, but seeing Kaze grinned, smell of melted bone now filled the air, Hawk, looks at his large bone axe seeing small chunk was melting off, Hawk quickly jumped back with his weapon, about 12 inch away from Kaze.

Kaze stood, his white flowed behind him, down to his back, his clothing torn and bloody, his blacken white fist was still coating his fist, glaring at Hawk, before holding up his non-burning fist in taunt manner " Come on, big guy, you scared of little fire?" Kaze grinned, as Hawk eyes narrowed at Kaze, Kaze may not seem threatening at first, but Hawk noticed his threatening aura, his eyes widened, seeing an image in the aura, that image was a dragon, roaring in the aura. 

Is....this...white hair being a Dragonoid? Hawk thought in wonder, then he noticed Hana, a Nekomata, Aoi, a human with inhuman strength, standing next to Kaze, ready to fight him. 

Meanwhile, going through Aoi and Hana's minds was the fact that Kaze can use magic. When they stood next to Kaze right to fight Hawk, Hawk growled " Don't you dare UNDERESTIMATE HAWK!!!!! Hawk declaimed,  charging forward " Hana, the plan!" Kaze shouted, as Hana grinned, dashed forward when Kaze shouted, doing a cartwheel, then three backflips, moment, Hawk and her gotten close to crashing into each other, Hana jumped, Spun in the air with the grace of a dancer, Hawk for a moment watch her, before growling, swing his melted large bone ax at Hana who front flipped forward dodging the swing by an inch, Hawk eyes widen, as Hana was directly in front of him, does Axel kick straight down Hawk's head, making him bite his tongue, he roared in pain " Oh shut up!" Hana spun, does sidekick directly on side of Hawk's cheek, causing him to twist his head to the side, as dent of Hana's kick was on his face, As Hana landed on stony ground, not giving time for Hawk time to recover, She does another cartwheel, then another one, front flip landed on her hands, started spinning, swing her legs. Then, she pushed down on her hands and launched forward, kicking the hawk right in the chest once, then again, the Hawk gasp, for a moment lost in the air. 

How is this Nekomata so strong?! Hawk shouted in his mind, as Hana spun in mid air to add more force, then, used both her legs and slammed them into Hawk's chest one last time, Hawk coughed out blood, trying to breath, Hana landed gracefully down, grinning, Hawk's eyes narrowed, he started to recover somewhat, So, he pulled back his hand back and slam it down toward Hana, going to squish her, but, Kaze was right in front of Hana, punch up with his flaming fist, meeting Hawk's palm, Hawk roared in pain, feeling his palm being brunt, he growled, and suddenly kicked out, taking Kaze by surprise, sending him flying, Hana shouted " KAZE!" 

" Hana, WATCH OUT!" Aoi shouted, as Hana's eyes widened further, turned her head, met with a non-sharp part of Hawk's large bone ax, hitting her tight in ribs -crack- Hana felt almost 3 ribs broken, as she went flying.

Kaze's plan failed.....Hana thought, as she landed on stony ground, tried to sit up, holding her rib on left, before she could even get up, Hawk was upon her, showing a savage grin, as Hana's eyes widened in fear. 

How is he in front of me? Hana thought with fear, as Hawk pulled his large bone axe up, Hana noticed all the damage she has done to him was visible against his brown skin, giving it almost purplish tint to it, his right hand was burnt and red but Hawk didn't let go of his Large bone axe as he lifts it with both hands, going to kill Hana, Hana tries to move, but couldn't move, rib damage was too great, As Hana smiled bitterly, and thought, this is where I die, as she closed her eyes, ready to accept death. 

" Do not ACCEPT DEATH, HANA!" Aoi shouted, as Aoi suddenly appeared before Hana with a look of desperation was on her face, as she's swing Rigormortis, bone meets metal, sparks flew, Hana eyes flew open, seeing Aoi right in front of her, blocking Hawk's large bone ax " Aoi?" Hana muttered softly " I will not los-" Aoi pause for a moment, thinking of her words, before glancing back at Hana " I will not have Milord lose anyone else, Hana. " Aoi said firmly, her eyes blaze with determination, Hana's eyes widen further, seeing the determined look in her eyes " ....." Hana didn't say anything but gritted her teeth, even hissed through them, as she stands up, forcing herself, no, willing herself to stand " Can you continue?" Aoi asked softly, not taking her eyes off of Hana " Y-yes" Hana said inhaling sharply " I can" She added, Aoi nodded, turn to Hawk, still holding her Rigormortis, keeping her arm steady, Hawk growled, trying to break Aoi defense, with another arms raised " Kick" Aoi grasp Hana shirt " Eh?" Hana blinked, as Aoi tossed Hana directly at Hawk, Hana screamed for good 10 seconds when Aoi tossed her, then, she recovered, remember Aoi telling her to kick, she pulled her leg back, and kicked Hawk's shoulder, right in the socket, Hawk roared in pain, as his right arm suddenly droop, Hana flipped over, narrowly dodging Hawk's large bone ax, it cut some strands hair, she noticed Kaze coming up, eyes blazing, for moment, Hana thought Kaze eyes turned silt, almost like hers but she couldn't confirmed when she landed next to Aoi, grabbed her arm, Jump back, to avoid downright s***h from Hawk's Large bone ax " Hana, slows down" Aoi warned " Don't worry about me right now" Hana stated, then inhaled deeply " Now, your turn!" Hana moves her hand to Aoi shirt " What do you me- DAMMIT HANA!!!!!" Aoi was tossed at Hawk, Hana kneel down, panting heavily, blood seep through her fingers, Before she looked up, seeing Aoi s***h cross Hawk's other shoulder, almost cut off his arm but his shoulder is thicker, Aoi tsked, as Hawk roared yet again in pain, finally letting go of his large bone axe, Aoi's widen in shock, before she crossed her arms, taking fist directly in her arms, Aoi gritted her teeth before her defense broke, as she was sent flying back, Kaze came right up, punch right in Hawk's stomach with his flaming fist, Hawk let out howl of pain now, feeling burning sensation, smell of his flesh becoming brunt, He kicked out in anger, hitting Kaze right in the chest, sending him flying now.

" HAWK IS PISSED MORE SO THAN EVER, YOU PATHETIC CREATURES ARE IN HAWK'S WAY" Hawk shouted out in pure anger " will you.....shut up?" Aoi said, directly in front of him, Hawk face eyes widen in shock and fear " How-" Hawk couldn't even finish his sentence due to Aoi slashing cross Hawk face, in quick session, s***h down before back flipping, dodging Hawk's panic slap, She crouched, Rigormortis to her side, blood splatter hitting the stony ground, staining it in blood, the roar of pain echo throughout the cave, she wasn't done.

Kiku Funeral strike! , Aoi shouted within her mind as she suddenly taken a step forward, spun her Nodachi, making it into the shape of a Kiku flower, before pushing forward, Kiku flower suddenly gotten smaller, as Aoi strike, hitting Hawk left arm, for a moment, He felt nothing, then -goowsh!!- Blood suddenly gushed from all directions from Hawk's arm, shaping it into bloody Kiku flower, before suddenly his left arm just dropped, making more blood gush, Hawk roared in pain, more like screamed in pain, putting his right hand over his stubbed, bloody, bone, trying to stop blood from gushing out like a fountain. 

" Sorry, pal but-" " This is the end" OF YOU!!!!!" Hana and Kaze appeared, Hana speak first, then Kaze, then together, as their fists were pulled back and tagged team punch Hawk right in the chest, Hana's normal fist and Kaze's flamed fist, double amount of force and pain, Hawk flew back few feet, before falling backward with a loud thud.
