Chapter 3 pt 4: Battle Against Odds

Aoi looked away to see how the battle is going, goblins numbers were getting fewer and fewer, however, she notices five goblins have gone missing, as she moved crossed the battle, whipping her nodachi back and forth, slashing as she swings her nodachi down, as blood came off her blade, spattering the ground with greenish blood, as four goblins fell to the ground with missing limbs or heads, Hana blinked, looked at bodies that Aoi killed in fast session, then back at her " Um, hi?" Hana said, waving awkwardly at Aoi that was right in front of her now " Hi" Aoi said with no emotion before she glances around once more to confirm her suspicion, she nodded " Five goblins are missing" Aoi stated, relying upon the information to Hana " What? s**t, that means those five are after the elf kid" Hana tsked, looked worried now " Fang could endanger too" Hana added " He should escape by now. " Kaze said, sliding over again, panting, wiping his chin " with that elf kid" Kaze added, as Hana sighed " Hope so, though you feeling okay?" Hana asked Kaze, who chuckled " yeah, just realize how long it's been since I moved around like that" Kaze explained, as Hana grinned " aww? getting old? " Hana teased, Kaze rolled his eyes " please, I'm not THAT old" Kaze flatly said, as Aoi chuckled now " you sure, old man?" Aoi lightheartedly teased, as Kaze blankly stared at Aoi, who just had a light smile across her face, as Hana laughed, then looked at the field, seeing about 4 goblins left " We just got eight left, plus big o' hawk" Hana stated "yup, let's show these fools that all life is precious" Kaze said, cracking his neck " Aww who knew that you cared so much about everything related to life" Hana teased, as Aoi smiled a bit, before putting her emotionless mask back, that is when terrifying shrieks echo crossed the cave. 

Hana glance at Aoi, Aoi glance at Kaze, Kaze glance at Hana, then worriedly look at the direction that terrifying shrieks came from " Well, Fang must have done something to cause those shrieks " Kaze said, with a proud grin " More than something, those were fearful shrieks" Hana pointed out, pretty much worried about Fang more now.

" Good, whatever he did, he going to make me very proud," Aoi said with one of her rare genuine smiles, then slashed down, passed Hana who went stiff in shock, looked to her side to see goblin being slashed down in middle, making dead goblin split into two, Hana turn green with color at that display, looked back at Aoi " Erm...Aoi warning next time" Hana asked in squeaky tone, Aoi just giving a light smile, before moving on to the next goblin, Kaze chuckled " Pay attention, next time, Hana," Kaze said, as he casually snapped goblin's neck " whatever" Hana muttered, rolling her eyes, then slapped goblin cross the face, momentarily stunning the last goblin, using this chance she delivered powerful front kick right in the goblin chest, sicken crack was heard as goblin gasped and vomit greenish blood up as he went flying into another boulder, another sickening crack was heard, breaking his spine in one go " Brutal" Kaze noted, Aoi nodded with approver, suddenly Hawk let out a jolly laugh. Kaze, Hana, and Aoi looked at him with confused looks " Excellent, Excellent, Hawk is pleased!" Hawk joyfully said with a grin " To think, you three took out Hawk's goblin troops" Hawk clapped, showing that he is pleased and oddly happy that Hana, Aoi, and Kaze have taken out his troops.

Hana was first to speak up " Wait, you don't care about them? " Hana asked " Hawk hates the weak, they are dead because they are weak" Hawk looked at goblins with a disgusted look, then look at three in front of him with what looks like a happy expression " Hawk wants you three to join his tribe," Hawk said, pretty much didn't ask nicely.

he abandon the goblins for being killed? I'm slightly started to feel sorry for them, Hana thought, as she heard what hawk said, blankly stared at him before looking at Kaze and Aoi who both glance right back at her, Hana nodded, understanding what Kaze and Aoi said with their stare, so Hana sighed " gee, that offers sounds tempting..." Hana said purposely that she was thinking, Hawk smirk widens, waiting for the answer " However......" Hana slowly trailed off, looked away for a moment, then back at him, punched forward showing her fist '' WE REFUSE!" Hana shouted, showing anger towards Hawk " Not with boulderhead scumbag, piece of muttonhead trash!" Hana added, letting out pant, as Kaze gasped " My word!" Aoi held a proud look, as Hawk stares at Hana with shock and hurt look then anger came to cross his face " That's unfortunate....but I'm going to enjoy killing a Nekomata "Slowly he stands up to his full height, he reached behind his throne, pulled up a large bone ax that was stained with old blood and old battle wounds " Hawk willing to forgive you, if reconsider" Hawk said, looking down at them, giving them a chance to reconsider, especially Hana.

" We said, no" Aoi spoke up, glaring at Hawk. "Besides, we already work for someone that is much more worthy than you" Kaze said with a slight smirk, checking to see how many daggers he got left. 5 daggers are left, looking back up at Hawk " Hawk sees" Hawk muttered, " Guess, this cave will be your grave!" Hawk shouted, about to swing his large bone ax right at them.
