Chapter 16.

[Freyas POV].

"Come on Freya, you have to concentrate! We have to do this!" Sam said to me.

"I know I'm trying!" I whined.

We were in my office going over the pack laws and my brain was starting to hurt.

"What is cause for banishment?"

"Threatening a ranked member or attacking an innocent pack member for no reason"

"what is cause for punishment by death?"

"Attacking the Luna or Alpha"

"what procedure do we have to go through to hand out the punishment of death?"

"We have to send any and all evidence to the council of the Ultima and wait for their confirmation before we hand out any executions"

The council of the Ultima werewolves were the highest and strongest ranking werewolves, they even outrank Alphas. I've never met one but apparently they are scary.

"Good!" Sam said and smiled at me.

"Ok last one, what is the main job of the Luna if the pack should ever be under attack?"

"to make sure all women and children are safe in the bunkers"

He smiled at me and stood up and gave me a hug.

"See told you could do it" he said, rubbing my back.

"now come on let's go downstairs and get some lunch"

"Yes I'm starving!"

"You're always starving Frey" he said and laughed.

We made out way downstairs, I looked up saw Jessica stomping towards us.

I rolled my eyes, now what?

"Sam you have to banish Freya, she attacked me for no reason" she said.

I was gobsmacked.

"That's Alpha and Luna to you" Sam growled at her.

"And what the f**k are you talking about?"

"Yesterday Freya attacked me"

Sam growled at her again for her disrespect.

"She's lying" I said to Sam.

"Yeah well what's this?" she pointed at her neck where you could see bruises from where I'd grabbed her.

"I didn't say you were lying about that, I just didn't do it for no reason. You mindlinked me saying that you would take my mate from me and I retaliated" I shrugged. Sam looked down at me confused.

"Are you really going to be believe her! You've know her for five minutes!" She screamed and I wanted to cover my ears and then I looked at her confused.

"Huh?" was all I said and then I mindlinked Sam.

"How long has she been in the pack?" I asked him.

"About two and a half years, she was a rogue. Emma's mum found her just outside the pack territory"

Oh, makes sense she has no idea how long me and Sam have actually known eachother. I wonder why she became a rogue, but then seeing how she acts it doesn't surprise me.

I'm not usually this much of a b***h towards people but she rubbed me the wrong way.

"Jessica, I've known Freya at lot.. lot longer than I've known you, now please excuse us we don't have time for your bullshit" he said rolling his eyes and grabbing my hand, I looked at her face and saw one thing. Jealousy.

I smirked at her and we walked away.

"did you really attack her?" Sam asked me once we were far enough away.

"Yeah, but what i said was true. She said and I quote "I'm going to take Sam from you and there will be nothing you can do about it" you're lucky I didn't kill her cause Star definitely wanted to"

"Frey, you can't attack pack members" he said softly to me.

"I know I'm sorry, I just let my anger get the best of me" I sighed and looked down, Sam grabbed my chin softly and made me look at him.

"I know, but you are the Luna now and you need to try and keep your anger at bay"

"Well what if someone said they were going to try and take me from you?" and he growled. "Exactly" I said patting him on the shoulder and walked to the dining room.

Everyone else was already here.

"Hey guys!"

I sat down at my seat and Sam came and sat next to me still grumbling about someone trying to take me from him.

"So I heard you put Jessica in her place yesterday" Scott said, I glared at Emma.

"What?" she said and I rolled my eyes.

"well clearly I didn't do a good enough job because literally just told Sam to banish me"

Everyone gasped.. and then burst out laughing. I looked at them all confused.

"What?"

"as if she tried to get the Luna banished!" Scott said.

"What did she say?" Emma asked.

I told them what happened and they were as gobsmacked as I was at the nerve of her.

"her obsession with Sam is unhealthy" Scott said.

"hopefully she'll meet her mate soon and her obsession will come to an end" Dean said while rolling his eyes.

We enjoyed the rest of our lunch and went our separate ways.

"I have some Alpha business to take care of but umm.." he stopped and scratched the back of his neck.

"would you like to go on a date with me later?" he asked. Why did he sound nervous? We're already mates, we have already mated and marked eachother.

"I would love to" I smiled and giggled at him and he smiled back.

"Great, I'll get done as quick as possible. Be ready in about two hours, just wear something casual ok?" he gave me a quick kiss and ran off to his office.

I went back to our room and flopped down on the bed, I was exhausted. I decided to have a nap.

I woke up an hour later feeling refreshed, I could never get tired of this bed. It was so comfortable, I got up and headed to the bathroom.

I had a shower and took my time cause I didn't know how long Sam was going to be, I got out and wrapped my hair in a towel. I let it dry in the towel for a bit and then took it out to let it air dry, my hair was naturally wavy.

I sat down at my vanity and decided to just put on some moisturiser, some winged liner and a bit of mascara.

As I was doing the finishing touches Sam came into the bedroom.

"Hey you" he came over and gave me a quick kiss. "you nearly ready?"

"Yeap" I smiled.

"Great, I'll just have a quick shower and get changed and we'll go"

While he was in the shower I was deciding what to wear, he said casual so I was trying to decide between a dark grey crop top and shorts or an off white romper with little red flowers on it. Then Sam came out the bathroom.

"Hey which outfit do you prefer?" I asked him holding up the options.

"Hmmm" he tapped his chin.

"the white and red one" he said.

"Ok" I went and put it on and just pulled on some red Converse.

"You do love your Converse don't you?" he asked.

"Yeah, I literally have a pair in every colour" I said laughing, I just loved them they are so comfortable.

"and you're one to talk you're always wearing Vans" I said as he putting them on.

"Yeah true" he laughed.

We made our way to the garage, I hadn't seen the garage yet.

Sam clicked his key fob and the lights to his car flashed and my jaw dropped.

"You have a 2025 Ford Mustang Dark Horse!!" I squealed.

"Oh my Goddess this is such a beautiful car"

I was practically drooling and he laughed at me.

"Are you going to get in? or just stand there staring at it?" he laughed. He opened the door for me.

"Thank you"

I sat down and the seats were so comfortable, I looked around at the interior and was in awe.

"This car is so nice" I said as we left the garage.

"The best Mustang though has to be the 1969 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500"

He quirked an eyebrow at me "Really? why?"

"I don't know" I shrugged "there is just something about that cars design that I just love so much, I've been trying to find one for years but no luck" I pouted and he laughed at me, he put his hand on my thigh and then I literally could not think of anything else.

"so umm.. Where are we going?" I tried to distract myself.

"it's a surprise" he smiled at me, I pouted at him and he laughed me again.

"Fine I'll tell you what we're getting to eat but the rest is a surprise" I clapped my hands.

"Ok I'll give you a hint.. We're getting your favourite food" he smiled.

"McDonald's!" he nodded.

"Yess I haven't had McDonald's in aaaages" I started doing a little happy dance in my seat and he smiled at me.

I then realised we had been driving for a while.

"Wait where are we going?"

"Surrey" he replied casually.

"Wait why are we going to Surrey? there's a McDonald's in Greenwich?"

"You'll see" was all he said.

We arrived in Surrey and Sam stopped at McDonald's and ordered it to go.

We got back in the car.

"Here put this on" Sam handed me a blindfold.

"Oh kinky I like it" Sam smirked at me.

"Stop being so filthy minded"

"you love it" I stuck my tongue out at him.

I put the blindfold on and Sam started the car and drove off to Goddess only knew where.

After about fifteen minutes I felt the car stop and heard the door open and close, and then I heard my door open. Sam grabbed my hand and helped me out the car.

"Just a little further" he said.

"Ok, one second" I heard some rustling and then felt Sam loosen the blindfold off. I opened my eyes a blinked adjusting to the light and then I gasped.

We were on top of the Surrey Hills, the sun was just setting and it looked beautiful. I looked down and noticed Sam had put a picnic blanket on the floor for us.

"Sam this is beautiful, thank you" I smiled at him and jumped in his arms wrapping my legs around his waist and kissing him hard and passionately.

I pulled away when I could no longer breathe and when I opened my eyes I realised I had tears in them.

"hey why are you crying?" Sam asked me wiping my tears.

"They're happy tears my love" I said.

Sam put me down, we sat down and dug in to our food. This was one of the best nights of my life.
