First Day

Chapter two 

Rose POV 

When i woke up its was already 6:25am and dad said i must be at the office by 7am. I move to the bathroom do my morning routine, come out dry my hair while checking what to wear. I settle for a naive pencil skirt with white blouse, red heels matching my red lipstick, hair neatly tied into a bunny and apply a lite makeup. I check my phone. "F**k it's 7:25." I went out my room go downstairs see my mom busy in kitchen. "Morning mom, bye mom." Im outside. "Good luck honey." Mom yelling at me.

I arrive at the Knight building, i open my car door move out i inhale exhale and walk in with my heard held up high. Inside im met with the stares, questioning look man wondering what am i doing here since im a woman. And yes since you were wondering i have accepted that im taking over dad. I walk to the gold elevator which i know only dad uses, i go in a press 60. I reach dads floor i walk in and it's quiet since his the only one on this floor. Dad comes to the view. "Sorry daddy im late." I apologize. "Rose you need to manage your time now or you are going to destroy the company i have been building fo 30 years. Now these files read them and understand them, these are companies that buy from us you must know them since you will be now working closely with them. Seth made sure everything you need to know is in there." "Seth? And why are these files different in colors?" I asked dad. "Ohh Yes Seth is your PA. The red 15 files are big companies that you must know before 7pm and the yellow ones are small companies also buying from us, you can go through those before friday. My work is done here bye. Seth come meet your boss." 

After a minute dad left a tall about 6feet abit muscular guy comes in, he looks shy cause he's looking down. He is wearing a naive suit, brown shoes matching his brown belt and glasses. "Hi. Im Seth Adams I'll be you PA." Lifting his hand for a shake. "Hello Seth, im Ro..." Seth cut me before i can introduce myself. "I know who you are, Mr Knight has been talking about you since i came to work here and i have been trained to be your PA for the past three years. Your dad Mr Knight told me when he hired me that one days his daughter will be talking over and I'll be there to assist her with anything she want." Said Seth not looking everywhere but me. "At least you knew three years ago i only found out yesterday aftet my graduation, I thought I'll be getting married and have children just like anyone other women here. But i must say i was surprised when dad said il be talking over and honestly i don't think i can do it." I said sitting down going over the files. "You can do it and Mr Knight told me you are intelligent and he can't let that brain go to waste." Seth, sitting opposite me. "Seth why are you not looking at me." I asked after finishing first file. "Im sorry Miss." He said shyly. "Can i get to coffee cause this is a lot of work." He asked. "No! Dont i have an assistant for that?" I asked and Seth face drop. "Miss Knight you don't think im capable enough to take care of you alone." Small smile appeared on my face, 'ohh i see he is one of those people pleaser kind of person, this is gonna be nice' i thought to myself. "No it's not that you are my PA we, me and you need someone to do those kind of things for us because we gonna be busy you teach me things i need to know." I told Seth, he smile. "It's just i don't trust all these man here with you." He said and look down 'possessive ain't we' i smile thinking how cute. 

We worked, Seth helped my alot when i check the time its 5pm and with haven't had anything to eat all day. "Seth we done now let go get something to eat my treat, we haven't had anything all day I'm hungry. I did i even checked my phone." I said walking to the door with my bad Seth following behind.                         unknown- 'Hi miss Rose can i treat you to lunch' 11:01

unknown-'ohh i see you busy' 11:30

Me- 'hi i have been busy all day and didn't even get time to check my phone. How about tomorrow.' 17:05

Mason-'busy doing what.. it's not like women have many things to do without cleaning and shopping and tomorrow is fine'

I didn't respond after that i was offended. The elevator opened we went in with Seth he press GF. "What would you like to eat for dinner Seth." "Anything with me is fine Miss." Seth said. "Seth can you please not call me miss Rose or Ro is fine." I said and the elevator open we went out. "Why is everyone looking at me with smiling faces Seth?" I asked confused "Mis.. I mean Ro Mr Knight might have told them you our new boss." Seth said. "Seth here are the keys to my car you driving us." We reach the restaurant and had dinner we are now back at the office and the nerves are kiling me but i can't show it. We walking toward the boardroom full of 45 men plus my dad. I walk in we Seth beside me and i see a familiar face it's Mason I smile at him and he just look away. " Gentlemen may i introduce you to my daughter Roselyn Brigette Knight the new CEO for this company since i told you before that my daughter will be taking over." The introduction went well and now im greeting everyone one by one. Im now in front of Mason with Seth by my side. "Mr King good evening." I say with a smile. "Why didn't you tell me you work yesterday, cause i wouldn't have wasted my time with you." Mason say with anger all over his face. "What do you mean, I thought you liked me for me and besides i didn't know i only f...." Mason cut me short. "I was there looking for a wife someone who will submit to me, obey me, Listen to me stay at home with my kids not some to work till late at night like me." I didn't belive what i was hearing but i pulled myself together. "Ok your loss than. Come Seth."

The meeting is done and i can say that things went better than I expected but im sad because Mason regretted me i really thought i had finally found the one and i guess not. "Ro you don't seem happy, what is it? If it's because of that guy don't mind him he has always been arrogant son of a bi***h." I smile at Seth. "Let go home Seth."
