Chapter 7: Unveiling the Sanders' Paradise

1229 Words
HERA’S POV I was in the middle of a deep sleep when I felt a gentle tap on my cheek. I tried to ignore it and my head because it only interrupted my sleep. "Hey, drooling girl! Wake up! We're already here," that loud voice from Inigo distracts me from my deep sleep. And the evil stare from Inigo greeted me when I finally opened my eyes. I quickly touched my right cheek because I felt something damp there. And I was shocked because what Inigo called me was the correct term to describe me. I slowly looked at his leather jacket, which was already wet with my drool. Full of embarrassment, I quickly wiped his coat and even the edge of his lips. After I patted his clothes, he quickly got off the plane, and only then did I get to look around the area. We have already landed and are currently in the middle of an island. I removed the seatbelt still on me and followed Inigo, who had just exited the plane. "Where are they?" I asked when I got closer to him. "They went first. Because only two people can occupy the golf car. And they want me to babysit you," he replied, irritable, and quickly called a golf car near us. I can't deny that the place is privately owned by the Sanders because the giant SANDERS CORPORATION is stamped on the big helipad. I am well aware that the Sanders family was wealthy, but I didn't expect that they would be as rich as this as they have their own Island. Our flight was only more than an hour, so the Island was probably close to Capital City. "Hey, drooling girl, what are you waiting for?" Inigo yelled at me, so I came back to reality. I ran toward the golf car he was riding in. But to my surprise, when I was about to board, he quickly moved the golf car, causing me to lose my balance and fall to the floor. "What the hell, Inigo!" I shouted at him while enragedly looking at him. "Why are you so clumsy?" he laughs while driving the gold car around me. "Stop fooling around, Inigo! I'm not in my mood to fool around with you!" I shouted, as I still didn't remove the evil look from him. Then I slowly stood up and patted myself. I must be thankful because I was wearing loose pants, or else I might have hurt my knee due to his rudeness. When he finally noticed that I was not enjoying what he was doing, he stopped the golf car. Although, I could still see that he really enjoyed annoying me. "Come on, hurry up!" he said again. So I quickly stepped closer to the golf car, but before I was entirely on board, someone suddenly pushed me, which caused me to fall onto the floor again. I couldn't help but glare at the woman who pushed me. Who was almost naked because of the type of clothes she was wearing. "My gosh, Inigo! I thought you wouldn't come," she aggressively kissed Inigo on his cheek. I can't help to roll my eyes because of that sight. He didn't even care that I fell from the floor. I stood up again and patted myself. At that moment, I had just watched Inigo with that careless girl. "Could you please stop and leave me alone!" Inigo shouted because she almost wanted to sit on his lap. "Why?" the girl asked with pouty lips. Gosh! That was such a disgusting sight! "Don't you miss me, baby?" she asks exaggeratedly. "Can you please move and let Hera sit so we can finally go?" Inigo said irritably and didn't even notice what the girl said. She looks at me from head to toe and doesn't like me based on her facial expression. Well, I don't care because I don't like her either. "No, I'm not gonna leave here!" she said, acting like a child. But instead of persuading her, Inigo left her inside the gold car. "Inigo!" He still chases him. But Inigo ignored her. He approached me and quickly grabbed my arms to pull me away from that girl. "Where are we going now?" I asked him because he suddenly pulled me. "Well, as you can see, she is on the last golf car on that airfield. What else can we do now?" I gave him an asking look. "No golf car is left, so we must walk from here to the villa." But to our surprise, Ava suddenly hugged him from his back. "What?" Inigo asks out of frustration. "I know you miss me too, babe!" she spoke softly, and I knew she was trying to seduce Inigo. But that did not affect Inigo as he grabbed and threw her arm and violently confronted her. He is now out of his patience. "Can you please come back to your senses, Ava? I don't even know what you are talking about. We have not even seen each other for almost 3 years. And can you please imprint this on your small brain that I don't have any feelings for you, so stop pushing yourself to me." He shouted with a lot of anger in his eyes. Ava was shocked, and Inigo grabbed that chance to get me away from her. He grabbed my wrist and walked away. I'm speechless and can't help looking at that poor girl. I could see the pain in her eyes. I know it hurt her a lot. "But you promised to marry me, right?" she cried and yelled at Inigo, but he didn't even give a glare anymore. He just started to walk faster than he could so we could get away from her immediately. We were out of words as we traversed that long passageway of the Island. I am quietly observing the whole island because, honestly, it was my first time to be in that kind of place. And I couldn't help being impressed by the scenery I was seeing. The place was so lovely and beautiful. I could live there for the rest of my life if I could. Only trees can be seen there, and the chirping of birds and insects can be heard. I could also faintly hear the gentle lapping of the waves on the shore. I could even see the blue ocean while we were walking. Even if the path we are taking is too stony, I really don't care because I really enjoy what I am seeing. And the good thing is, because it was so cloudy, so the sun wouldn't burn me. But it seemed that the rain was coming. "If you are tired, you can wait for me here. I will get a ride from the villa," he said suddenly. "We'll have a long way to go. If we keep going like this, darkness might surpass us." I can feel the concern in his voice. "If we took the golf car, we might be at the villa right now," I couldn't help but blame him. "You don't know the stubbornness of that spoiled brat! If I insist on bringing that golf car, you might be walking alone now." He almost yelled at me, which surprised me because I didn't expect he would get angry about my statement.
