HERA’S POV
"HERA, they're already here, come on out now!" I heard that shout from my Mom. Honestly, I woke up early, so I could shower and get dressed before the butler came. But I didn't go out because I couldn't overcome my sadness.
One last time, I looked around the room. For eleven years, that room witnessed all my sadness and joy. When I leave this room, I know I also go through all the memories I had since my childhood.
"Hera?" my Mom called again, and this time she already knocked on my door.
"Yes, Mom, I'm going out now." A sigh came out of my mouth before I pulled out my suitcase. I felt the weight in every step I took. It was like I spent five minutes just getting out of my room.
"Come on, they've been waiting for us!" she said impatiently, then she took my suitcase from me and handed it to the man wearing black clothes. I felt like the Presidential Security Group was the one who picked us up because of their fancy looks and attire.
They are all dressed in black coats and pants, wearing black sunglasses and a security headset mic.
They let us out first, and when I came out, I didn't expect that there would be six more of them waiting for us outside. I didn't understand why so many of them were there. I know we don't need that kind of treatment. In fact, we can go to that mansion alone without any companions like the first time we went there.
When we got out of our apartment building, many bystanders were curious about what happened. Six men wearing pure black coats surrounding us were indeed attracting attention.
"Come in, Ma'am," said one of them politely, and opened the door of one of the Mercedes Benzs parked in front of the building. And they stayed bowed to us as long as we didn't get on board.
"We're leaving," the driver said through his security headset mic. Then I just noticed that there were also two Mercedes Benzs with us. One was before us, and the other was behind our car.
OMG! In an instant, I was like the president's daughter. How can you be able to refuse a life like this, Hera?
I just quietly observed outside. And because we had an escort, we could quickly cross that busy, narrow road.
"Aren't we going to the Sanders mansion?" My mother asked in surprise, because we had just passed the junction where we should have turned to be able to go to the Sanders' mansion.
"Master Felix wants to show you something, so we can't bring you to the mansion yet," the driver politely told my mother.
Almost five minutes had passed when the vehicle finally turned right. That was just a short distance from Sanders' mansion. And then we just stopped at a vast area with a helipad.
And there are some private planes currently stopped there as well. One of our companions opened the door for us, so we went out. They have also taken out our belongings from the car compartment.
We were both surprised when Felix greeted us.
"Hello, darling!" He happily greeted my mother and then kissed her cheek.
"What are you planning again, sweety?" My mother asked with confusion.
"Hey, didn't you tell me that you and Hera have never even been able to take a vacation? That's why I cleared my schedule to give you a memorable vacation," he said with a smile. So is my mother. "I also informed Inigo, but I wondered if he'd come. I'd been waiting for him for almost half an hour before you both came here. So, I think we should go first," Felix said to my mother, and walked first toward the private plane near us.
"Wait!" I stopped them as they were ready to go. Felix gave me an asking look, and so was my mother. "Why don't we wait for Inigo for a while?" I suggested.
"No need for that, Hera," Felix answered. "He can follow us anytime he wants to. And knowing Inigo, he will surely not be willing to come with us."
Out of nowhere, I released a loud sigh. Honestly, I didn't want Inigo to be around, but the weight of being with them, with me alone, was a much more terrible idea.
"Come on, Hera, no need to wait for Inigo," my Mom called me. So, I have no choice but to follow them.
We were about to board when suddenly a speeding red sports car was coming. Our attention was caught by that red car. We were all focused on seeing who was riding in that fancy car.
When it stopped right in front of us, I almost dropped my jaw when a good-looking guy suddenly emerged from that car.
Oh, wait! Did I mention a good-looking guy? Am I that insane? I confusedly condemned myself for saying that. Why? Because that guy was no other than Drake Inigo Sanders!
I looked at him from head to toe. He was wearing a black leader jacket with a white t-shirt on his top, skinned jeans, and sunglasses.
Well, if I hadn't met him before in school and didn't know him well, I might have been thrilled by his appearance. But then again, I shook my head to remove those thoughts.
"I thought you wouldn't be able to catch up," Felix told him, as he was already in front of us. As usual, Inigo didn't answer.
Then they continued to board first on the plane. Felix helped my mother climb up because the plane footboard was too high for us.
I was next in line. I knew I needed to push myself high to reach that footboard; I was about to go myself when someone suddenly lifted me up so I could get on board that plane. When I turned around, I saw Inigo was the only person behind me. He just smirks at me.
I just shrugged my shoulders at him. Well, I didn't expect that he was also a gentle person in his body.
I sat behind my mother because Felix was already seated next to her. I roamed my eyes inside that plane; there were five seats inside. But to my surprise, of all the empty seats on that plane, Inigo chose to sit next to me.
"What?" he confusingly asked me. I still give him a questioning look.
"Fasten your seatbelts, and we are about to take off," Felix said. That's why I quickly looked for my seatbelt.
Wait? How can I fasten this? I confusedly asked myself while staring at the seatbelt I was holding.
I shifted my gaze to both sides but still couldn't figure out where and how to attach that seatbelt. I was surprised when Inigo suddenly pulled that seatbelt from me and crouched on the other side of my seat to fasten the seatbelt.
Because of what he did, he was too close to me, and I could smell his fragrance, and the longer he was in that position, the faster my heart beat.
He even patted my left thigh to get me to move so he could fasten my seatbelt. Eventually, he could attach it, but I know it was also difficult for him.
I was surprised when the plane's engine suddenly started and gradually rose from the ground. Since it was my first time, I felt a strange nervousness, and fear suddenly overcame me. That's why I suddenly grabbed Inigo's hand that was placed on my armrest.
"Sorry! I didn't mean to do that!" I softly apologized to him. Then I quickly let go of his hand. But to my surprise, he didn't let go of my hands when he held my hand more tightly.
I don't want the idea of holding his hand, but I know I need that kind of comfort this time. I closed my eyes as the plane started to go above the clouds. I leaned my head against the back of my seat. I unintentionally gripped Inigo's hand due to my fear.
But the fear started to disappear when Inigo held my hand back tightly. So, I never let go of his hand for a while because that gives me comfort and a safe feeling. I didn't realize I would fall asleep from that moment and leaned on his broad shoulder.
