Joy gets out of the bed literally dragging her feet. Bad enough she didn't want to go to school, Now she got these new gifts she barely has control of as if she didn't already feel like a weirdo. She was so afraid of all the what ifs. What if she teleports during class, what if she read somebody's thoughts thinking exactly what she feared most, what if some new weird gift activated while around total strangers. As she was dragging to get her clothes out Sam opens her door.
"Hey Joy Joy are you okay"
"Not really but I have no choice"
"To be honest I'm scared too"
Joy looked at Sam surprised "Sam you're afraid"
Sam laughs at her baby sister's expression "Yes Joy, at first I was so excited to be joining society but with all this new weird stuff" she said waving her hand around to express the weirdness. "I don't know what to expect anymore, although it's kinda cool It's scary to know that I'm different and not really sure how to fit in"
"I can relate" Joy huffed as she sat on her bed criss cross apple sauce style. Sam sat next to her
"You want to pray" she asked her baby sister figuring if anybody can help them God surely can.
"Of course"
Sam reached over grabbing her sister's hand "Lord we need you. Today will be very challenging for me and Joy but we know that you know all things, we ask you for strength and comfort and peace to help us endure this testing situation. Learning new things about ourselves, being emerged into a new environment, being around variety of people, Lord the thought itself is overwhelming and freightening. Please help us to endure and get through this day. We declare the spirit of peace to surround us today, we declare the strength of God to show up in our weaknesses, we declare self control over these new gifts you have entrusted us with. We love you and thank you for allowing me to know you like Joy does. Thank you for forgiving my evil ways and changing me using your love and your words. You've given us these gifts meaning we're capable of holding them. You alone are worthy of our trust, we trust you in your name Amen.
"Amen" agreed Joy "Sam girl did you pray or did you pray" Joy laughed excitedly with a new found strength
"I learned from you Sissy" Sam blushed hugging her sister "Come on Let's get ready" She got up heading to her room.
Joy got up too heading to her personal bathroom in her room to start her day. "Thank you for fixing the relationship between my sister and I" Joy whispered and smiled.
Dwayne pulls up to the castle to pick the girls up for school. He smiled as he seen them coming down the stairs.
He gets out to open the door for them.
He greets Joy first as always" Joy Joy the star"
"Heeeyyy D" Joy replied doing their famous handshake then she climbed into the back seat and closed the door, So sam could sit next to D on the drive. Dwayne turned to greet Sam and as their eyes connected his heart stopped beating then started back again, time stood still and everyone else disappeared. Sam felt it too, it was so weird it scared the hell out of her. she swallowed hard getting nervous
"Hi" Sam said in a high pitch voice feeling shy
"Hi" Dwayne replied in the same tone
Sam suddenly opened the door to the backseat and slid in next to Joy and closed the door back quickly not waiting for him to respond.
He stood there for a moment it scared the hell out of him too and her response made him even more nervous. Not knowing what to say he walked back around to the driver's seat with his heart racing and got in the car. He sat there for a minute to try to calm himself down but her presence in the car was making it hard. He grabbed his phone putting his favorite Artist on, She'd recorded a new song the other day and of course she sent it to him, her number 1 fan and supporter. He Zoned out and pulled out of the castle grounds.
Joy streaming a smooth slow melody on her guitar could be heard blasting through the speakers

Sam's heart dropped as tears fell from her eyes she turned to face Joy
"You made this for me" she asked in a whisper so Dwayne couldn't hear her
"Yes " Joy smiled "I made this for you and D, after realizing how y'all loved each other but couldn't be together my heart was so sad for you, and it kinda made me think of Julian so i put it in my music"
"Wow Joy this song is so beautiful thank you, can you send it to me"
Joy hugged her sister to offer her some comfort as thoughts of Jake and their soon monthly visit hit both their minds.
She pulled away and sent the song to her immediately not wanting it to slip her mind. Dwayne was all in his bag cause he played Yesterday on Repeat all the way to the school building. He pulled up to the front of the building putting the car in park, got out and walked to open the back door for the ladies. As he helped them out of the car he felt electricity when he held Sam's hand sending him in a spiral of twisted emotions.
Joy and Sam were in the same class, they walked in telling the teacher who they were then took a seat at the back of the classroom.
The teacher's name was Mr. Cornelius the Alpha of the Artic Wolves Pack. As he stood up to begin the lesson he instantly caught Joy's attention. She watched him quietly and intensively, something about him was alluring.
"Okay class we have two new students today so I want to go around and have everyone introduce themselves starting with our new edition."
Sam went first knowing her baby sister was socially awkward and wanted to show her how to blend in. "Hey guys I'm Samantha Soaks but most ppl call me Sam"
"Hello Sam tell us something about yourself what are your interests, gifts or talents" He asked her
Sam got nervous she wasn't really sure but before she could chicken out she heard Joy's voice through the mindlink "you got this Sam " She smiled Well I love flowers i have this beautiful garden at home and it's where i go to calm down when i'm not okay" Sam finished She heard gushing and giggles "Goo Sammy" through the mindlink it was Joan cheering her bestie on as she took her seat
Joy stood up 'okay here goes nothing' she thought to herself "Hi I'm Joy Soaks Sam's sister and I Love music"
Cornelius looked directly at Joy head c****d slightly to the side Her eyes caught him off guard, had him stuck for a brief second "You love music ? well can you sing, rap, or play "
Joy tucked that same loose strand behind her ear "I guess I can sing a little bit"
"What Joy can blow " Joan yelled out before she could stop herself
"Yeah her music is amazing" Sam added
"Oh you write too ? Cool would you mind giving us a mini concert" Cornelius teased wanting to know more about this mysterious Joy there was just something about her.
"You got this Joy this your shot" Joan encouraged through the mind link
"Practice makes perfect Joy first step remember you'll have to sing in front of ppl in the pageant" Sam pushed through the mindlink
"Come on Joy Let us hear something " another student added
"Okay" Joy said walking to the front of the class where everyone can see her. She felt so uncomfortable and nervous she took a deep breath closed her eyes but suddenly She felt the power of God fall down on her

She opened her eyes and held her breath. Everyone sat in bewilderment that voice came from her ??? Wow then they started screaming like she won an award for best performance
"Joy girl you better stop playing with it" one student said
"Joy you are blessed" added another
Joy blushed shyly, She couldn't believe the class' response
the class settled down and one girl named Medusa said "She was aight but I've heard better"
Joy looked at her chuckled but said nothing as she went back to her seat smiling and feeling excited about school and more confident in her gift.
"Joy Joy I'm so proud of you Sissy" Sam said as she hugged her sister
"Way to go Joy" Joan said "Don't pay Medusa any mind You rocked" She mindlinked her
Joy turned to face Joan smiling and blowing her a kiss "I Love you Joan " she mindlinked her back sitting comfortably in her seat.
"Wow" Cornelius was blown away He knew there was something special about this shewolf , He was about to find out just how special she truly was.
