Chapter 10

The Blood Silk Pack

Jake sat behind his desk in his office with Emily Goods, Alpha John and Luna Gail Good's daughter from The Gold Moon Pack. Emily was humming sweet tunes into the microphone while Jake sat laid back with his eyes closed. She was well aware of Sam but could careless because she thought her sweet tunes had Jake tucked in her back pocket. Little did she know, she wasn't the only shewolf playing sweet tunes for Jake in hopes to be his future Luna. As Jake enjoyed his favorite tune, there was a knock on the door.

He opened his eyes and adjusted himself

"Who is it" he barked annoyed at the rude interuption.

Julian walks in and rolls his eyes. He looked pass Emily as if she wasn't even there. He hated what Jake was doing to Sam.

He liked Sam and was very vocal about it and unbeknowest to anyone he loved Joy. He called her his Secret Star because nobody knew he loved her and she had an amazing voice, He would dream about her all the time. She's never sang for him but during one of the monthly courting visits, he attended with Jake and he heard her singing to herself in the Alpha library and couldn't get her or that voice out of his mind ever since.

"Jake have you received any updates about your courting visit with Samantha Soaks this month." he asked excited to see Joy again and throwing shade at Emily's nasty behind. He couldn't stand her or any of the other shewolfs groppling over Jake.

"Julez I'm in a meeting"

"cut the crap Jakey this is hardly a meeting more like an apostasy"

"why are you always so holier than thou ? like you can't do any wrong"

"I don't think I'm better than anyone right is right and wrong is wrong you're betrothed "

"You don't see me asking you any questions about little miss Sarah Cooper"

"you can't first of all I don't like Sarah we're just friends and lastly I'm not betrothed to anyone"

"Lucky you, well I'm the future Alpha of this pack and i can do as i please"

"that attitude right there will lead our pack to destruction if you don't be careful"

"yeah yeah yeah go preach in the pack's sancutary cause i'm good on your sermons bro"

Emily stomps her foot angrily to remind the brothers that she's still standing right there. She got annoyed as soon as Sam's name was mentioned.

"Ma'am you could actually stomp your way back to The Gold Moon pack or whereever else I could careless but we have important to discuss that doesn't involve whores." Julian snarked at Emily.

"Jake are you just gonna sit there and allow him to disrespect me like that " Emily said to him thinking she was more important than she really was.

"Aye Em Imma get up with you later, I'll call you the driver to drop you home"

"don't even bother I'll call him myself" she huffed walking out the door with her arms folded slamming the door on her way out.

"Good riddance" Julian chuckled, then looked at his brother getting back to the reason for his intrusion.

Jake laughed arrogantly feeling like he was the man, knowing she'll be back when he calls her to finish the job.

Emily sobbed quietly as she heard Jake's laughter through the door " Why her, What makes her so special?" she thought to herself as she called the driver to take her back home.

Jake opens up his email getting excited at the thought of seeing Sam again. Although he cheated with anyone who would take him Samantha Soaks had a special place in his heart. The thought of her finding her destined mate threw him into a viloent rage and anyone on the receiving end regretted it. This one time during a visit, He walked up on Joan and Sam discussing the possibility of her having a destined mate and her grabbed Sam's arm roughly reminding her that she was his and noone could have her. He told her he would feed her mate to his wolf and enjoy snacking on his throat if God ever gave her away to anyone else. She was His and only he was going to marry her. Sam and Joan were terrified as Sam cried silent tears falling down her eyes. She knew he was seeing other girls, she felt them on him everytime he came close to her, but when she would mention it, he would gaslight her calling her crazy and always making things up in her imagination. He knew Sam didn't love him, in the beginning she was crazy about him but as time went on he couldn't control himself and every outburst of rage pushed Sam further and further away. The thought of her slipping away from him drove him crazy and his words got harsher and harsher.

She'd be okay, He brought her gifts and things she liked every visit but lately he's noticed not even his guilt gifts could keep Sam's heart with him. he didn't care though she was his whether she liked it or not. Nobody can have her, He was hoping that this visit She was missing him and back in love with him again.

He gets Annoyed seeing no new email from The Soaks.

"Nothing yet?"

"Unfortunately Not" He jumps from his seat storming out of his office slamming the door.

Julian shakes his head 'why is he such a jerk' he thinks to himself as he shuts down the computer, turns off the lights, and closes the door behind himself. As he heads to the studio to release some of this anxiety he was feeling.

Julian sits behind the computer screen mixing up a new beat he made with thoughts of Joy on his mind. He created a new acoustic beat with a little percussion in it. As he finished he was so excited, He felt like he created a masterpiece. He decided to take a quick nap right there in his seat to rest a bit before dinner. He wakes up in the garden at The Soaks castle. He smiles as he sees Joy bending down smelling a beautiful white rose.

"OOh God Not you again" She says

it caught him off guard Joy never acted this way towards him in his dreams of her. She stands and turns to walk away rolling her eyes.

He grabs her by the hand "Joy wait where are you going" He asked confused

"anywhere but here"

"Did i do something to you ? why are you acting this way towards me"

"Julian leave me alone please"

"Joy I don't understand, why you keep trying to walk away from me"

"Julian let me go" Joy said as she snatched her hand away not turning around to face him"

"Wait why you leaving me ?"

"You have someone already and I will not play sideline for you or anybody else"

"please don't go, stay, we're just friends" he begged her grabbing for her hand again

Joy turns to look at him silent tears rolling down her face then she turns away taking her hand from his and continue walking out of the garden. He stands there sadly watching her leave then he wakes up.

He rubs his face in frustration that's not usually how his dreams go, He gets up from his seat, save his beat and leaves out of the studio in down spirits.

"Hey handsome" Sarah walks up to him kissing him on the cheek.

"Hey Sarah" He responds half dryly

"Awe why the long face" she asks snuggling her face in his chest as he embrace her

"it's nothing, come on let's go to dinner" he replies leading her to the dining hall.

They sit at the table where Jake and Alpha Joseph were already seated waiting to be served.

The head cook Mariah walks in greeting the family. "Alpha Joseph, Jake, Julian welcome to the dining hall tonight's menu consists of lasgna and garlic bread with salad on the side."

"Thank you Mariah, I'm sure it's delicous as always" replies Joseph

"Thank you Ma'am "Julian says

Jake just rolls his eyes pouting. He's still angry he hasn't heard any news from the soaks yet.

Mariah bows slightly and heads back into the kitchen to prepare the plates to feed the Alpha family.

"Jake what's wrong with you son" Joseph addresses his eldest son

"What's wrong with this girl. doesn't she know I'm the future Alpha of The Blood Silk Pack, How dare she keep me waiting for my invitation, who the hell does she think she is" Jake rants

"Son calm down, we have our arrangement you'll hear something soon" The dad says attempting to sooth his angry son

Julian giggles at his brother's mini tantrum thoughts drifting to that last dream he had of Joy. His mood shifted too but he didn't rage out like his brother he just put his head down silently wondering what the heck was going on, why did his dreams suddenly change like that. Was it just a dream or is Joy really annoyed with him and trying to distance herself from him.

Like clockwork it was as if Sarah could hear his thoughts she scooted closer to him whispering in his ear

"you know Julez I can do that thing you like after dinner to help you feel better"

He perked up a little smirking at the thought of what Sarah had in store for him after dinner.

Mariah returns with two Omegas carrying the Alpha's food and sets it in front of them. No one had a plate for Sarah

"Umm excuse me do you not see me sitting here" she says nastily to the staff.

One of the Omegas spoke up " Sarah you're not apart of the Alpha family, you can go get your food your feet not broke" Rolling her eyes.

"Don't worry I will be soon and I'll make sure to make your life a living hell for that smart remark Sarah whsipered to her on her way to get her food while smiling.

The other Omega rolled her eyes whispering as they headed back to work" I can not stand her she's so nasty I hope our sweet Julian does not marry her"

Sarah heard her as she walked back to the table "you mean My Sweet Julian" then laughed thinking of what she was getting ready to do to him in the privacy of his bedroom chambers. She licked her lips seductively then bit her bottom lip sitting back in the seat next to him to eat.

Julian waited for her then blessed the food when she was seated

"Lord thank you for this food that we're about to receive, bless the hands that prepared the meal, bless the workers who served the meal and bless the rougues who have nothing to eat in your name Amen."

"Amen" said the dad

"Amen" said Sarah

"Amen " said Jake

Then they dug in. It was quiet in the meal hall everyone so caught up in Mariah's delicous cooking.

After dinner Julian excused himself heading to his chambers to digest his food then be digested

"I thought yall were just friends " said Jake throwing shade at Sarah like his brother did to Emily

He ignored Jake walking out of the room smiling all the way down the hall, almost skipping ,thinking of the tricks Sarah had up her sleeves He wasn't about to let Joy or Jake ruin his evening.

'maybe Sarah & I could be more than friends She's pretty, and She likes me unlike Joy'

He instantly pushed thoughts of Joy out of his mind to focus on Sarah and her surprise.
