Chapter 6

"Joy Joy get up" Sam sang happily in Joy's ear. " This is the day, This is the day that The Lord had made, I will rejoice and be glad in it" Sam danced around Joy's room singing, laughing, and clapping.

Joy popped out of her sleep confused, 'This couldn't be my sister' She thought to herself looking at Sam as if She'd seen an alien.

" Who are you and what have you done with my sister Samantha" Joy stood to her feet defensive ready to attack the imposter dancing in her room.

"Very funny Joy, Now come on get ready we're going to school today " sam gushed.

Dread hit Joy at the realization that the day had arrived where her and Sam would join the pack's population after being home schooled her whole life, She was not ready the palace was all she knew. 'What if nobody likes me, What if I don't fit in' So many thoughts of why this was such a terrible idea raced through her mind causing her to have a migraine. She raced out of her room to Lisa's to find Lee wasn't in there. Instead she found a note addressed to her on Lisa's Vanity table.

Hey Joy Joy,

I know you're probably looking for me but

I'm sorry I can't be there with you to help you

prepare for your first day. Don't be nervous you got this

They will love you, You'll meet new friends and they'll

get to experience the wonderful gift you are and love you

I'm rooting for you and I'll be home when you get out of school

so you can tell me all about your amazing first day

I Love you Joy, Be open minded and actually give people a chance to see the Joy we all love and adore

As Joy finished the note she started to have a slight panic attack. She missed Lisa more than ever right now and couldn't image getting through this tragedy without her around. She sat on Lisa's bed closed her eyes and started to cry then something strange happened. She was in the car with Lisa and Dwayne as they were sitting in the mall parking lot

"what the heck" she said out loud causing Lisa and Dwayne to turn around and see her. All three of them sat in bewilderment wondering what in the world was going on and how did Joy get there. At first they thought they were hallucinating but realization set in that Joy had just teleported to Lisa.

"Wow I knew you were special but I couldn't have fathomed teleportation" exclaimed Dwayne.

"That gift hasn't been seen amongst the werewolf society in centries" says Lisa being the bookworm that she was.

"I've read books and articles on it but I would've never imagined to actually experience it here in our time she continues

"Joy how did you get here" she asked

"Idk I just, one minute I was sitting on your bed with this note, the next I was here in D's car" Joy replied confused still holding Lisa's note.

"wow" Lisa & Dwayne said in unison looking at Joy in amazement and utter shock

"Joy you can't tell anyone about this okay" Lisa warned "I need you to go back before anyone notices and we'll talk when you get out of school. I'm gonna hit the library to check out some books on this so we can know exactly what to expect and how to control it."

"Okay Lee but wait, what are you guys doing at the mall and why didn't you tell me you were coming here" Joy asked suspiciously, but before they could answer they got another suprise visitor.

"Samantha, okay this is getting really creepy" Joy said as she looked over and seen Sam pop next to her in the back seat.

"Joy, Lisa, Dwayne omg I must be dreaming but I didn't go to sleep what the heck is going on" Sam said scared and the for the first time in her life she was not trying to hide it.

Dwayne sat speechless in utter shock not only was he mated to the Alpha's daughter but he was mated to a legendary rare gifted blessed werewolf. For the first time since knowing Samantha was his mate he felt unworthy, and unsure of himself.

'Why would God mate me to such a special wolf'

'What if I'm not good enough to cover, love, and protect her'

' What if Alpha Jerk finds out and decides to never let her go'

She had just messed his head all up and all he could do was sit in his thoughts silently fighting himself.

Lisa spoke "Wow, Sam you are so special. Okay so clearly you and Joy are legendary werewolves, you guys have a gift called teleportation and you somehow teleported here"

"Change of plans you guys can not go to school today, go back, wait for me, and tell no one about what just happened. I'll explain it more when I get home okay. Be careful and please try not to go anywhere else we're gonna figure this all out together" she smiled at her sisters comforting them.

"okay Lee" they replied still kinda scared "together" Sam smiled taking Joy's hand to offer comfort to her baby sister, She actually liked the sound of that.

"uuuhhh Lee there's one problem" Sam said with a nervous chuckle "We don't actually know how to go back"

"use what you used to get here, So Joy was looking for me, and I'm assuming you were looking for Joy so maybe if you guys held hands and thought about going home you'd poof back home in my room" Lisa advised using the few information she remebered from a book she'd read.

Joy and Sam held hands closed their eyes and thought about going home then the next thing they knew they were back home in Lisa's room.

They smiled looked around and then hugged each other.

Who would've knew that discovering a rare scary gift would bring those two together.

Back in Dwayne's car

"Dwayne are you alright, I noticed a shift in your energy after Sam popped here"

He started to keep it to himself but instead decided to share his thoughts with his long time Friend,

'If anyone would understand it would be Lee so he spilled the beans i mean hey one more surprise couldn't hurt nothing right.'

"Lisa, Sam is my destined mate" Dwayne blurted out before he could talk himself out of it.

Lisa was surprised, it caught her off guard although they had been friends for years she too silently wished God had blessed her with him for a mate but after she'd shifted and received her wolf there was no mate bond, She knew he wasn't her mate.

"Are you sure D?" "How do you know, she doesn't even have her wolf yet"

"Lee I know, I feel the mate bond and I love her. I can feel her when she cries, I feel her when she's happy, I can feel every emotion she experiences, even her jealousy of Joy Joy" Dwayne told Lisa confidently

"What !!! Dwayne that's crazy Sam is not jealous of Joy" as she finished her sentence Everything clicked starting to make sense as she played back the way Sam treated Joy in her mind like a movie.

She wouldv'e never guessed it." I guess I was so preoccupied with taking care of Joy that I never realized Sam felt left out, and was Jealous wow how did I miss it"

"It's not your fault Lee, it's deeper than that Sam doesn't really know who she is, she doesn't feel loved so she puts on a mask being mean to block herself from being hurt."

Lisa had another sudden dreadful realization "What about Alpha Jerk we can't let him find out who Sam really is"

"Don't worry D have faith, God will help us work everything out the way he wants it" Lisa comforted her friend

"Yeah I hope so" Dwayne said sadly and unsure 'I'm just a driver'. "Come on Lee Let's finish getting Joy's stuff for the pageant so I could get you back to help our girls before they lose it " he said laughing lightly to try to lighten the thick air from the crazy bombs that were just dropped today and it's not even noon yet. So they went inside and got the rest of Joy's things for the She Reigns Pageant, feeling even more confident that either her or Sam would win.

What a twisted beginning to their self discovery journey, Who would've knew.
