GREEN EYE

CHAPTER 13

MHAVEL POV

I head my way home from Sanhia’s house, though I am still shocked about all the revelations somehow it gives me hope that I can soon get my revenge.

I am in the middle of the road driving when I look at my car’s front mirror and was shocked to see the actual turning of my eyes from black to green.

Having this kind of event, I know something is not right, I parked my car at the side of the road then look at the backseat, I feel like someone is watching me or someone is trying to hurt me.

I always knew if I am in danger when my eyes turn to green, this curse is somehow helping me but I still don’t know how I got this.

Mom said that I was all normal before I got sick and died and when I am ready to be brought to the mortuary, suddenly I wake up and after two days of being alive, my eyes turn to green the whole day.

That is when someone tries to kill my grandfather which is still alive at that time, instead of him, I was the one who got by the killer wearing all black and mask, I was about to stab on my stomach but my eyes suddenly turn green and at some reason it somehow throws away the killer but it escapes, after that my eyes never change the whole day but when Mom, tries to read me a story that calms me, my eyes turn back to normal.

Honestly, I am also researching about my green eye, I mean how did it happen, is there a certain person in our family who has this, but unfortunately I am the only one, I got bullied in school when there are times that it suddenly change into green, they used to call me Alien or freak and I feel pissed about it so I decided to wear contact lenses and I noticed as time goes by, it lessen the episodes of changing until it becomes rare.

Right now that it changes to green; I know there is something here, or inside my car.

Before I start the engine, I can feel that someone is behind me so I turn my head but I didn’t see any, and when I return my eyes to the road I was stunned to see a seemingly like shadow that is standing in front of my car.

I cant see clear who is that shadow so I manage to get out of my car to make a clear view of it but suddenly attacked me that I luckily avoided

“f**k! Who the f**k are you this time!” I shout at the shadow

“Your body will be mine!!” it said that stops me, I mean Susan’s spirit also said that

It attacks me again but instead of avoiding I manage to hold its left hand and I clearly see its face, damn! It looks like a big human bug, s**t!

The mouse, wolf and now a bug…? What the hell is happening now in this country!

I try to get a hold of this human bug but it fights the hell of me trying to escape, I can see the fear on it when it stared at my eyes.

I can see how scared it then just flies away from me.

I don’t know what just happen but thank god I am all okay.

Getting in the car makes me calm so I try to close my eyes then lean my back for a seconds after I calm myself  I look at the mirror and now my eyes turn back to normal.

I am now feeling relax when suddenly the cellphone rings that startle me! f**k this caller!

When I look at it I saw Sanhia’s name so I answer it right away.

“Yes?” I ask

“Hey, ahmm just want to ask if you are familiar with the name Catalina Perse?” she said that confuses me, I mean how did she know a Perse?

“I don’t know who is Catalina but I know the family Perse, they are the famous couple who died in my Mom’s hometown before” I explain

“Famous? I thought that they died in an accident?” she confusingly asks

“Yeah that was the story but the locals believe that they are not, they were murdered,” I said

“Murdered? Do the police didn’t even listen to the other side of the story?” she nosily asks

“It really looks like an accident and comes on it’s the police, they don’t give a f**k to local gossips, anyway why the sudden question?” I ask

“Well, I heard my parents last night after you go, they are really sorry that they couldn’t be a help to you since they don’t know the woman in the picture but they do know Catalina Perse your Mom’s only mortal enemy since they are kids and has been hated her ever since, ahmm they also mention, she was the one behind your curse when you were just a kid, though when you get healed they said that she was disappeared and found dead in her house” she explains that really shocked me, I mean Mom never told me about her, she never mentions it to me, I now stop for a while having this sort of revelations.

“Hey Ma’am, are you still there?” she asks which puts me back to my senses.

“Yeah, still here, thanks for the info, let's talk about it tomorrow,” I said

“Oh yeah about tomorrow maybe we can get there after work, I mean nighttime is always the best when it comes to that,” she said and I just agree to her then end the call.

I kind of anytime my head will explode, though I am thankful that at least now things are getting clear about my Mom’s death.

After doing my night rituals, I lay down to bed and in just a minute a fell asleep.

It is really new to me that I wake up early or maybe because I somehow feel excited about everything.

I just fix myself and head my way to the office, at the road I can see at the billboard the post of Carsen Construction, their advertisement.

Its new location is already in Taguig and we are bound to go to their old building in Caloocan.

When I got to the building, I just saw Sanhia alighted from a car, I saw the driver it’s a guy with red hair, geez who would have red hair these days?

I park my car and run towards the elevator and all the employees together with Sanhia stops and give me a way to get in, Sanhia didn’t even look at me and just remain her ass outside, damn this girl, I know she sees me and now acting like she doesn’t know me.

I hate that act of her so I just grab her arms and pull her inside the elevator with me then quickly press the close button

“What is your problem?” she annoyingly said

“Why? I just save your time duh! Thank you would be enough!” I said then rolled my eyes at her

“I didn’t need your help, especially to the CEO of this company! Everyone will think that I am clinging on to you to have a position here!” she said and was really mad, damn! Did I really do something very wrong or really offensive?

“Whoa…chill! What is going on with you? I just want my secretary to be with me going to my office geez! What is wrong with that? And besides, you already have a position here!” I said

She suddenly gazes at me looking confuse

“What position here? Hey you must be mistaken, I am still working at SGC and there is where I am employed and has a position!” she said

“Not for now dear, coz I talk to Uncle Alfred for you to stay here for a while as long as I need you and he approves it, don’t you like it?” I smilingly explain

“What???? Who told you that I want to work here with you? f**k!” she said that this time really pissed me off

“Wow! Are you really taking this too far huh? Maybe you want to remind yourself that I am still the boss here and your boss is commanding you to work for me! I got the say and you’re not!!! Better put that in your mind!” I madly said while looking straight at her.

After that, I just head my way to my chair and so she is, we never talk again until the end of the day.

I don’t know if she is still willing to go to the Caloocan, but I am sure will!

At exactly 6 pm, I just head my way out of the office and I didn’t mind her, I locate earlier the address of the old Arsenas building so I will go straight there.

It only takes me half an hour to get there, as I can see the building is just an abandoned building now, I mean it was never been renovate or even sold to another real estate company, I guess the Arsenas is still the owner of this building.

Since it is abandoned I can get in and out here I guess, the main door is open going to the lobby of the building, I get the flashlight on my bag, it wasn’t that dark since the lights outside are still reflecting inside though at some area it is really dark.

If I remember the incident has happened on the 15th floor and so I head my way up, luckily the elevator seems to work fine though the lights around are not anymore.

Sanhia said that an abandoned building that is still owned by a well-known owner who refuses to sell it, the government required them to at least retain the power and the light so it wouldn’t become a hideout of any bad people.

When I get to the 15th floor I already feel a bad vibe here, I am feeling heavy again like how I felt with Susan before.

I try to calm myself and continue walking when I suddenly hear some footsteps; it seems to roam around though I didn’t mind coz my goal is Mrs. Arsenas office.

I slowly walk until I reach her office and when I was about to hold the knob suddenly a loud and screeching voice that is almost near my ears shouts at me.

It weakens me that makes me let go of the knob to cover my ears.

It took me a minute to gains my composure since the voice is already gone.

“What the f**k was that? Do you think I am afraid of you asshole!” I shout.

Then I grab the knob and open the door, as Mr. Almoral said, it is indeed a huge office for a woman who is just doing office work.

I try to walk around to see the whole office and I saw the balcony where the son of Arsenas couple died.

I walk towards there trying to see the surroundings up here when I sense that someone is walking behind me.

When I sense that it is almost near my back I suddenly face it then grab its neck, I was shocked to see in clear view of a man standing in front of me that I almost choked.

Damn, he is a real human, though I don’t know who he is.

I let go of his neck and he is still coughing like hell after what I did.

“What are you doing here, who the f**k is you?” he asks

“It is not important, and you, why are you here?” I ask back

“I am working here, I am the caretaker of this building,” he said

“A guard?” I ask in confusion

“Well somewhat like that, anyway what are you doing here and who are you? This is my second time to ask you…” I was about to answer him when we heard a voice

“She is my boss and apparently we have a business here” it Sanhia

We both face her and I can see the surprised all over her face which I guess she is trying to hide.

I can see how she gain her composure then walk towards us

“I can't let you go here alone,” she said

“I am not alone anymore,” I said with brow up looking at her then simply gaze on the guy that makes Sanhia rolled her eyes

“You really didn’t learn your lesson do you?” she ask

I was about to answer her question when the guy suddenly speak

“Hi, I am Vincent, you are so gorgeous,” he said offering his hand to Sanhia while staring at her

Whoa, so he really got an eye on here huh? At this hour! Geez…!

I look at Sanhia’s reaction and she didn’t even move her eyes on him though there is something within her eyes, it isn’t the look of amazement but hate.

“Yes Vincent, I know you…Vincent tom Arsenas” she said that shocked me

Damn! He didn’t die? He is f*****g alive all this time?

“What are you talking about Sanhia?” I ask

“As I told you, it seems you didn’t learn!” she said again and it makes me pissed!

“Will you please stop that… What should I learn huh???” I exclaimed

“About like him!” she said then point the guy with her lips

“That he is still alive?” I ask again and the guy face me looking confused

“Well, we all thought that you are already dead! And look you are alive! Someone has to go to prison just because they thought you were killed!” I said then Sanhia quickly grabs my hand and pull me away from him

“Damn! You shouldn’t do that!” she said

“Why? He needs to know that!” I said

“No!, Mhavel, look closely at him, he is already dead! He is just a spirit!” she said that shocks me

“Damn! So what now? He seems like he is not aware” I said

“I don’t know too,” she said, damn it! She just likes to burst out then can't do anything after!

“Fine! Here is my idea, I will just act like he is still alive until we somehow get a piece of information, what do you think?” I explain and she agrees so I stretch my arms and head to settle myself then I head towards him like I didn’t know anything

We both simply come back to the office.

“ Hey Vincent I am sorry about her, anyway can we just stay here for a while?” I ask

“ahmm yes sure, but you two mention that you know me and you both even know I am Arsenas” he said

“Yes, because your family is quite famous” I explain

Sanhia isn’t saying anything though this Vincent seems really like her.

I try to text a simple message to Sanhia telling her that she needs to ask him a further question, I mean she is the only one who can persuade him.

I can see that she reads my message and I simply gaze at her and she just rolled her eyes than stand in front of him

“Sorry about earlier, though I want to ask, what was the last thing you remember here when it is all beautiful and fixed” she straightforwardly asks

He seems to think and it took almost how many minutes then suddenly he faces down a bit for another minute.

I was about to check if he is okay but I was thrown away when he suddenly shouts

“Both of you will going to die here!!!” he suddenly shouts

“Nope! That is never going to happen” I said and then run towards him to give him a kick but he avoids it

He was about to attack when Sanhia shout “Stop!” and he suddenly stops

“Look Vincent, we know you are already a ghost and if you really want to stay here then so be it but please tell us the night here before you die!”” she said

He is just looking at us and his appearance becomes normal again.

It took time before he faces us then speak

“It was my Mom, who killed me and pushes me at the Balcony”

He said that put us both in a state of shock
