CHAPTER 1
LILIANY'S POV Sometimes, life feels so boring and weary. Sometimes, it feels calm and comfortable, like the heat of the sun mid-day and silent stary night after. Like the good and evil battling against who to take charge and control the flow of life...as much as it sounds weird but familiar, life is full of memories to remember and more memories to make. like how my friend Calsy is standing in front of me with a frown on her face. I think I know where this is going. "Why did you do it?" she asked angrily. "Hm? What are you talking about?" I asked, CONFUSED. what is it about? She glared at me before speaking. "Don't try to act innocent on me!!! I know you did it!" she beamed. "Calsy, listen. What are you talking about?" "I'm talking about Tom. Why did you tell him about Mike?" she said almost crying. oh... "Who is Mike? I don't know who he is!" I said, hoping for her to listen. "Liar!" She shouted like an angry dog about to bite the flesh of mine. I apologetically looked at her. "Listen, Calsy. I have no Idea what you're talking about! Someone must've used my identity. I don't even know who Mike is!" I said, explaining myself. If it weren't for her driver calling for her home, I would've been slapped and glared at. To be honest, I know who Mike is. Calsy has been married to Tom for 2 years now. However, recently, Calsy has been seeing a guy named Mike. Mike caught the interest of Calsy, and before I had even known about the situation. She had already been cheating behind Tom's back. Calsy and I aren't really that kind friends. I had known long ago how much she doesn't like me because of her own reasonings. I had a feeling she has been faking her friendly actions towards me for the past Four years, but I choose to play along. A little game wouldn't hurt. I was the one who snitched on Tom about her whole relationship with Mike. It was unbearable to see Tom being blindly cheated on for quite a long time now. It was also to teach Calsy a Lesson. After that incident, I went home to freshen and sooth myself. Calsy wasn't that bad of a person—she was super bad. She is mean and arrogant towards anyone. She doesn't even respect her own parents. "Young miss, your mother is looking for you" Nina—one of our housemaid said. I turned to her. "Where is she?" "She's in their room, Young miss" she responded. After hearing those words, I gently made my way up to my parents'bedroom. There, I saw my mother sitting on their bed looking worried. I sat beside her and spoke. Must be about my brother again. "What's the matter, mom?" I worriedly asked. She sighs "I don't know what to do with Aerix anymore. He hasn't contacted us for 3 weeks now. I'm starting to feel something is wrong." I am said to see my mother in such a state, the only thing I can do is to listen. I reached on to hug her and she hugged me back. Suddenly, an Ideas came to mind. "Mom! why don't I ask Gaven. He probably knows about my brother's location." I saw a hint of happiness in her eyes. "Really? I kinda feel ashamed about asking him. I don't think he would help us given the words we said to him before." "Don't worry mom. I know him well enough to make him talk to me. trust me on this." After our short conversation, I went to my room and got ready for bed. I'll talk to him tomorrow. ~•°•~ I woke up the next morning. I reached for my phone and clicked on Gaven's number to send him a message. To Gaven: Hey Gav, I was hoping we could talk over coffee. After a few minutes he responded. From Gaven: SURE! No problem Lil. we can meet at Neiro's pastry shop. To Gaven: Sure, see you there at Nine. I was relieved to know that he agreed. I was expecting some violent and abrupt reaction from him. Glad he came around. I got ready and made my way to the shop. The place is quite nice and calming. the walls are painted Dirty white with strokes of beige and blue. The walls were also covered with nature themed paintings and gold plastic flowers were neatly placed at the door. It didn't take long before I spotted Gaven sitting at a far corner checking his watch...and he was frowning. oh no! Is he still mad? Is he gonna shout at me for calling him over? He probably won't be mad, right? I mean, he agreed after all. I inhaled deeply and walked towards him. I cleared my throat. He looked up and his frown disappeared. "Oh! Hi Lil. It's been so long since we last talked. How are you?" He beamed happily. The frown turned into a joyful smile. I sighed. "I thought you were gonna shout at me or something... phew...you got me worried there." He chuckled and gestured for me to sit. I took the seat in front of him. "So...what is this meet up about?" he started. "I'm thinking of asking about Aerix's where 'bout. He hasn't shown any sings for weeks now." I said—straight to the point. "Ahhm...'bout that." He looked hesitant. "Hmm? why? Has he been digging his own grave?" I asked worriedly. He laughed and turned to me. "Aerix will be sad knowing his sister wants him dead." "Why not... it's not that bad having to own his inheritance...I'll be ritcher than I already am." I joked. "I don't think he would want his location to be snitched at the moment..." I frowned. "But I thinks I should snitch it anyways." he said laughing. "Talk about real friends." I scoffed. "Of course. Real friends should talk sh*t about each other. It's part of the agreement." He said laughing. He then asked advice on how to court a boyings girl—whitch was unexpected of him. That man never seriously date anyone—Not that I know of. He told me about my brother's location and a card key at that. Gaven also stated his current situation—hovering over his ex—whom he caused pain—a lot. Gaven said that my brother can't let go of the woman because she is the half of his life. His words, not mine. Love can really make a person insane and sane at the same time. How devastating it is having your emotions take control of your actions. But then again, love is the greatest emotion a person could feel, give and receive. I left the shop feeling relief that Gaven wasn't mad, and that my brother was doing 55% fine at the moment. 55% is good enough!
