Raven POV
The last thing I was able to hear was alpha Michael and Liam arguing before one of them attacked the other before everything went dark. Now, it seems my mind has wandered into a strange place. I’m currently standing in the middle of a forest. I see Pine trees everywhere. There is fresh snow covering the trees and the ground. I feel a tug in my chest and feel the urge to walk forward.
As I begin walking through the forest, I start to feel as if someone is watching me. I look towards my right, and I see a wolf. The wolf is huge and is bigger than any wolf I have ever seen before. I know I’ve always been short, but this wolf makes me look tiny. Its taller than I am.
The wolf is white with grey all around except its paws which are all completely white. It’s cute because it looks like its wearing socks. I’ve never seen a wolf so beautiful. It has thick fur that looks incredibly soft and these bright green eyes that seemed to glow as if they had a light inside of them. The wolf stares at me before bowing its head and begins to walk off slowly as if I’m supposed to follow it. I stand there for a moment unsure of whether I should go or not. After thinking about it, I decide that I might as well follow it since this is a dream so nothing bad can happen to me here anyways.
I quickly catch up to the wolf who seems to be waiting and it weirdly gives me a look as if annoyed that I made it wait. We walk for a bit in silence, and this is one of the most awkward dreams I have been in.
“Did you want me to follow you?” I ask stupidly as if expecting the wolf to answer.
It ignores me of course and continues walking.
It seems like we’ve been walking for over an hour, and it is starting to get dark. My feet are starting to hurt and I’m freezing. I plan to stop and sit down on a fallen log needing a break when the wolf turns around and gives me another of its annoyed faces.
“Where are you taking me?” I ask it and again no answer. This wolf is quickly starting to annoy me.
After a few more minutes, we exit the forest completely and its now nighttime. I look up and I can see the sky with millions of stars and ribbons of lights in different colors everywhere. I have heard of these colored lights before but have forgotten their name, I remember something about them being in the north or far south. The view in the sky is magnificent and feels magical. It almost feels as if the sky is alive.
I was so distracted by the view as we continued our journey that I hadn’t noticed we were approaching mountains. The wolf continued its way as if nothing and I’m forced to follow. Where the hell are we going? My legs feel like they are on fire at this point and I’m once again thinking of stopping. The wind has begun to pick up and snow is getting in my eyes making it difficult to see.
After a long time, It feels like we have been walking nonstop for hours. Finally, the wolf stops. I look past it and there is nothing there. It's looking at the side of the mountain that we’re going over.
I don’t know what caused it to stop.
Just as I’m about to sit, the wolf takes a few steps forward and slowly disappears into the rock wall of the mountain. That’s impossible. How did it do that? Suddenly, I hear a strange voice in my mind, and it says one word follow. I follow the wolfs footsteps and reach my hand towards the rock to test it. Just as the wolf had disappeared into the rock, so has my hand. I pull my hand back and its completely normal, so I do it again. Inch by inch I go forward into the rock watching my arm completely disappear.
I close my eyes and take a deep breath before I take 4 few steps forward. Slowly, I open my eyes afraid of what I have gotten myself into. It only takes me a few seconds to realize that I am in a cave. The cave is beautiful. It is dark but has these crystals everywhere that produce a variety of lights like the ones in the sky outside. The roof of the cave is magical. Looking up I see the stars that I saw outside. This is amazing!
We must move I hear in my head again and realize that the wolf is a few yards ahead of me waiting for me. I walk up to it, and it once again leads the way. We walk through the cave, before the wolf slows down and looks to the side. I look toward my side as well and I see that there are paintings on the wall beside of us made with some type of glow in the dark paint, I think. I see a wolf howling at the moon with the lights in the sky and as I’m about to look away, I see the wolf move. The wolf starts to run as if it is chasing something, and then other wolves appear. The wolves appear to run together. The first wolf is larger than the rest and is leading the way. The wolf suddenly stops running and turns around just as the other wolves attack it.
The wolf tries to fight and stand its ground until it is overpowered, and other wolves kill it, leaving it there covered in blood. This is sad. Then, out of nowhere, a woman appears in the painting. She kneels in front of the dead wolf and puts her hand on it. Just as her hand touches the wolf, a bright light shines and immediately, the blood surrounding the wolf begins to disappear. The wolf then gets up and begins running until it reaches the moon and begins to howl before the image stops and is back to its original position.
“What is this place?” I say to myself.
“This is the place you must come to. You are in danger.” I jump not expecting anyone to answer and look towards the wolf.
An old woman appears to be standing next to it and I’m assuming that she is the one that spoke. She is wearing a hooded cloak and I can’t see her face too well, but I can make out green glowing eyes and silver hair coming out of her hood. She is using a cane and is hunched over.
“Who are you?” I ask “and why am I in danger? I’m no one”
“You are the last of your kind. Your wolf has finally been able to surface, and you will be in immediate danger as soon as anyone else realizes what you are. Do not trust anyone. Not even your mate. You have met Athena; she is your wolf. As you can tell she is larger than your average wolf. She is special and so are you.” The old woman replies matter of fact.
“That’s impossible, I’m just an orphan. I’m an omega and my parents where rogues. There’s no way that I’m special. You must be mistaken.” This lady has gotten me confused with someone else.
“Stop wasting time stupid girl, I know exactly who you are and who your parents are. You have been lied to. Now your life is in danger, and you must come find me. Your wolf has brung you here so you can recognize the path and find your way back to me in person. You must come to me immediately so we can begin your training. Those around you either pose a great danger towards you or will be in danger because of you. Forget about that life and everyone in it. I will be waiting. Now go and get ready.”
Before I can ask any more questions, a gust of wind comes out of no where and pushes me out of the cave. I feel like I am about to fall. I gasp and open my eyes before landing. I am momentarily blinded by the light around me and once I can see again, I realize that I am no longer in my dream. Hell, I’m not even in my own room. I’m in Liam’s room I assume because of its smell. I must get out of here. I pull the cover off me when I hear the door and just then, Liam comes in. His eyes open in shock and he runs towards me before throwing himself over me and capturing me in a hug.
