Chapter Twenty-TwoThey waited in the unmarked Dodge and watched nothing happen. Michael Cole sat in the passenger seat feeling antsy, his large frame shifting in perpetual discomfort. At six foot four, Cole didn't bend and fold to fit the mid-size cars the Department issued, and he had years of chiropractic bills to prove it. Tonight had been particularly grueling. Three and a half hours of doing nothing but waiting for a phone call they both hoped would never come. If that call came, he would have to kill the old folks inside.
