Chapter SeventeenLynn waited at a stop light on Pine Road, glancing down at the phone in her lap expectantly. Her hands were wet on the wheel, and her mouth was dry. She had been driving in a straight line for fifteen minutes, with no contact. Her mind raced with thoughts of imminent disaster. They were on to her. They wouldn't call her again, but were already en route to kill her family. She looked around at the few cars in the area, but none of the drivers were watching her.
