I sat on the floor facing the main door, my knees hugged to my chest. This was the tenth day since Ash disappeared and with each passing day I felt like I was losing my mind.
“This is my fault, I shouldn’t have trusted him.”
Maria put her hands around me. “Everything is going to be okay Lee.”
Tears flowed freely down my cheeks, “I can’t lose him Maria. I just can’t.”
“It’s been too long. We should have heard from him. At least you guys should have.” Ann lamented.
Billy made a frustrated noise. “We’ve searched everywhere and there is no trace of him.”
“I’d feel better if we could hear him or sense him. But there’s nothing, just silence.” Joe said.
