Chapter 23
Eliza’s POV:
After I briefly went through everything with Luna Nessa, I finally had the opportunity to visit Anna. I could only hope that Zoë had calmed her down and maybe got her and Ben back into a room so they could talk.
“Mom, I’ll see you later, okay? I have to look by Anna first,” I said, descending the stairs.
“It’s fine, honey, I’ll see you tonight!” she replied.
Once upstairs, I just saw Zoë coming out of Anna and Ben’s room.
“Hey, I don’t know what happened, but she was really upset!” Zoë immediately started talking when she saw me coming up.
“I don’t know exactly what happened, either. Ben was talking about a misunderstanding, but this morning when they left my house, nothing was wrong.”
