Jason´s POV:
“What did Zoë just mean?” I asked as soon as I closed the door behind me.
Eliza didn’t look up or back, though her whole body screamed discomfort. But I needed to know what Anna has against Liz. I took a step forward, still leaving an arm’s length of space between us. “Liz, will you please talk to me?”
She looked up, but I didn’t know her well enough to read her facial expressions.
“Can you please tell me what Zoë just meant?” I asked her again.
She nodded, but looked away. There was silence for a moment and I wondered how I was going to get the necessary information from her in the next ten minutes, give or take.
